Noel Clement

The Aphrodite is a fashion label that has been making strides in the fashion world. New kid on the block, it’s been garnering an interest among the niche crowds but hasn’t quite managed to break into the big leagues.

The corporation behind The Aphrodite, is owned by Clement-Schroeder-Khan Corporation. A company which was owned by Theresa Clement, her husband Rob Clement, Jurgen Schroeder and Sadiq Khan. With divorce of Clement couple, Rob was essentially kicked out by other three with each of them purchasing his stake. But when Theresa died in mysterious circumstances Rob made his move and initiated a hostile takeover with puppet investors to the point that he share, bequeathed to her daughter Noel was sold off with enough leverage being held over Jurgen for his own skeletons in closet that Rob knew of.

All of this happened seven years ago when Noel, a child of Theresa but not of Rob and still given Clement name was merely a child in joint custody. Occasionally abused by her father, Noel has grown disillusioned with the world and yearned to take back what she felt was rightfully hers. But the corporation was an impenetrable fortress and world of high fashion is a clique to break into and Noel never had the body to become a model.

That is, until she was contacted by a man named Thomas Olivier. A man who had a score to settle with the very people that she hated.  The third wheel of this was Samantha Khan, young trophy wife of Sadiq who had her own reasons. Their inside woman. Together they hatched a scheme as the young woman transformed herself into what would be epitome of physical attributes required to be a model through cosmetic procedures.

When she did return they pushed her to the moon and in little time she had the fashion industry eating out of her hands. The tides had turned and The Aphrodite was facing woes in capturing new markets to the point of suffering serious losses. That’s when they approached her . This was her chance and she was going to take back what was rightfully hers. What was initially going to be a mere gig was going to become a hostile takeover much like the one years ago and she was going to ensure that.

So, as you can see the game ad is about as over the top and frankly, ludicrous it gets. But that’s exactly the style I’m seeking to recreate here. Remember the racy airport novels of Sheldon, Archer and the likes where occasionally things just happened because they wanted to? I want to capture that style and of course, high melodrama that borderlines on satire. The story will include following topes:

1.   Everyone sleeps with each other.
2.   Everyone abuses substances.
3.   Things just happen at times by pushing limits of realism.
4.   Cheesy melodrama.
5.   Fluffy portrayal of business world.
6.   Endless backstabbing/twists because that’s what those novels often are.

Noel is woman who is essentially an extreme narcissist and sociopath who as a product of childhood abuse and in general obsession with revenge is more than willing to go to any lengths. I definitely want her to have an affair with Thomas as well as Samantha. Timeline wise I imagine this starting with Noel meeting Thomas after her prior attempts have hit a dead end. I would certainly love to incorporate non linear narrative into this if my potential partner would be interested in that.

Seeking partner to play:

Thomas Olivier: The man with an agenda. He pulls the strings but he knows that Noel can’t be fully trusted. Both he and Noel are using each other even if their mutual goal is the same in this. What his motivation for this would be is up to you. The only thing I am set on is that I want him to be an older male. Definitely 55+, completely embodying the ‘rich corp man’ trope.

Samantha Khan: Trophy wife of Sadiq. But she’s not without her own circle of influence. The woman on the inside and the one who engineers bringing in Noel in the fold. She’s angry, again her motivations could be anything and up to the prospective partner. All I would say is she would be much younger than her husband.

You can play both or either of them and I can handle other one or we can simply split the control of third character together for interactive fun.
