I’ve been DMing a homebrew campaign for a couple of years and we’re currently on a Hiatus because peoples scheduals makes gaming regularly a challenge. However, I still have the itch for DnD and frankly I miss being a player. I’ve got the basics of a bunch of different characters laid out already because... well honestly i got really bored and made a shit ton of NPC’s and thought “Huh... that would be a fun character to play sometime” But it hasn’t come up yet.

Ideally I’m looking for a smaller group of 3-5 players + 1 GM. I’m decently experianced. However this will be my firsttime playing DnD not in person so just let me know what i need to do... Also if some new players want to join i’d be happy to help out if needed. Especially with character creation and what not.

As for specifics I’d be happy running a Module (tomb of anihilation, out of the abyss, elemental evil, etc), Or homebrew, or whatever really. If you’re a GM/DM that would be interested hit PM me or just reply to this post I guess

So what sort of content are you (or others) interested in RPing:

- High level or lower level?
- What amount of smut do you prefer - heavy or light?
- Prefer DnD modules that allow more free roam or are you okay with some minor amounts of rail-roading?
- How frequent of posts do you feel comfortable making?
- How about what themes are people interested in?  Planar travel, something creepy, lots of wilderness exploration?  I have a lot of modules I've been looking to DM lately, so wanted to see what people tend to favor.

Let’s see... um how about i go though the questions one by one first.

As far as level is concerned, I prefer  starting at at least level 3 levels 1-2 feel like they’re just grinds, but I'm happy to play at higher levels. The character i was planning on using I’ve played at most tiers and higher levels would just means she’s further along in her personal story.

For smut I’d like to keep it light for right now. I haven’t been in a heavy smut mood for a while.

For free roam/railroad I'm fine with either. I do enjoy a bit of free roam, But if the module you have been hankering to run is more railroad that’s fine by me.

I can post as frequently as you need me too. I usually check in a couple of times a day to see if there are any updates and can post however frequently you, or others, are comfortable with.

I am personally not a fan of heavy planar travel. Shadowfell, and fae wilds are all good but if it gets to a point where I'm popping in and out of the planes or fire, air, water, and earth, or if a day trip to the nine hell's is on the table i start to loose interest. It’s sort of the DBZ problem a bit at that point. I’m not opposed but it’s not my favorite. Otherwise I’m up for anything

Hello!

I'd like to throw my hat in as a possible player. I'm not 100% familiar with Dnd5e (just began really playing it recently) but I have decades in other versions of the game, as well as PF.

Just a quick comment on railroading/sandbox. From what I have seen on E, sandbox games are far more likely to die a sudden death due to players not posting, probably because many don't know what they 'should' do. If there are 2-3 possible goals to choose from so that it isn't a single rail, that works quite well, but so far most of the games that I've seen start, then die, have died in a moment of 'You have all day to kill in town before (EVENT), what will you do?'

Otherwise the only preference I'd submit is for lower level (less for a newer player to juggle) and at least level 3, because DnD5E has that strange 'you aren't really your actual class until level 3' thing going on instead of using archetypes or alternate classes.
My current O/os (need work)

If you are still looking to play, I am willing to run.  I would rather run modules over a campaign as people have a tendency of disappearing.  I am willing to run over her... over discord... and for those looking to sit down and actually play some games, I can run over Roll20 as well.

I'd definitely be aboard as a player. I'm an experienced player in the 3.5 system and the pathfinder (3.75 I've heard it get called before) systems.  However, I've always wanted to learn the 5e system and if you're willing to take a "noob" I'd definitely be in for playing!  :)

Thanks!

The Doctor: I threw it in a supernova.
Amy: You threw the manual in a supernova? Why?
The Doctor: Because I disagreed with it! Now stop talking to me when I'm cross!”
