Ca-clack.

The stamps are rather annoying in their own little way, yet you quickly get used to them.

Ca-clack.

Each time it just makes this little noise that sounds so official, marking documents.

Ca-clack.

I stamp each document in the appropriate little box, nice and big and red. So official.

Ca-clack.

Each document has a picture clipped to it, along with a name, and the person's history...

Ca-clack.

But I don't look at any of that. Nope, I'm only here to do one thing, and that's to stamp.

Ca-clack.

I get to the last one and smile at it. The last one makes me feel so proud of my work.

Ca-clack.

I put it on the pile and then use twine to bundle them together. When I'm done, I stand up and walk downstairs to the archives, where an older gentleman with a grey mustache stands sorting through the files. I set the pile on his desk.

"Another batch? Getting very efficient I see."

"Whatever the State demands of me," I reply cheerfully, turning and walking back up the stairs.

The older man picks up the pile and begins to sort through them. He sighs, looking at the one sitting on top. Her name had been Cassandra, a pretty young woman who'd gotten caught up in the wrong crowd. The picture in her file showed a bloody hole in her head, her face drained of color and life. The box at the bottom simply read TERMINATED: TRAITOR TO THE STATE. He filed it away like so many others, filling up the massive archives one lonely file at a time.

Hello everyone, for those of you who don't know me my name is Linna. This game was inspired by my recent jaunt through the excellent game Orwell by Osmotic Studios and published by Fellow Traveller. This game will be in somewhat the same vein, though from a different perspective: young, disenfranchised youths in a modern, fictional country controlled by an authoritarian regime that views their lives as disposable.

The game will take place in the fictional country of the People's Republic of Vertium, a nation with a deep and troubled history that has been shackled to the state's control for the past 60 years. You and your compatriots must navigate the labyrinth that is normal day-to-day life within the Republic, trying to effect change either in small, simple ways or through titanic revolutions. The choice is up to you. Every action you take, from talking to people to buying goods to simply staying in will have consequences. You'll each have a limited pool of money, time, and Social Creditâ„¢, a social media system that will track if you're a good little citizen of the state. All of it must be balanced, for leaning too far towards the state might alienate your compatriots, while leaning too far towards the revolution might land you in a jail cell being asked some very pointed questions.

If there's enough interest with this game, I'll begin to flesh out some of the country and important people you're going to be focused on. So if you're interested, let me know, and feel free to ask questions.

Thank you,
Linna

Interesting, I shall wait until additional Information before throwing my hat in the ring though

Hey, really cool concept, very untreated and will be checking out the game as well. Craving dystopias lately.
A few questions though: will it be action by action, that our "scores" change, that is, or only by completing certain actions? How much charcter interaction will there be? Are we just everyday people or are we connected to a larger story over all? If our scores drop too low or we choose the wrong story action, can our characters be terminated?
I have more but I'll let someone else take a turn! But please do let me know if this starts up!!
