Cat’s Claws

Genre: Avant-Garde/Neon Noir
Pairing: F/M
Forum: Extreme
Role Sought: The Hero
Seeking to Play: Countess Zinerva Simonova
Themes: Cat & Mouse, Mystery, Dual Identities
Inspiration: Retrowave Music, Nightcrawler, Drive

By night she’s the notorious thief. Blessed with abilities far beyond any ordinary human being, running an array of bold and daring heists that has left the most brilliant of minds scratching their heads.  By day, she’s the Countess Zinerva Simonova. A popular socialite who’s known for being vain and more than able to carry her vanity in way that most can’t help but be mesmerized by the ice queen and her aura of mystery.

Her nocturnal antics are largely innocuous. Stealing precious jewels more for the thrill of it than to cause any harm to any person. Often people she steals from? They barely have anything to lose from it. But of course, she’s no Robin Hood but is very much hedonist and self serving. An antiheroine in every sense of the word.

He’s the hero. Someone who has vowed to clean the city that’s been in this relentless state of moral decay. He’s the lost moral compass of this grimy world and as he puts the criminals away, their paths keep on crossing. There develops a strange, symbiotic relationship. He can’t help but feel enamored by her, charged by her brazen sensuality and hopes to bring her to the side of ‘good’ whilst she finds his morality, grandiose idealism laughable and yet, is fond of him for his courage and tenacity.

He becomes her free get out of jail card as she eludes him, outsmarting through sexy shenanigans and escaping in the rainy drenched, neon lit nights. I love the prospect of course, in as well as out of costume interactions. The intense attraction that the hero feels towards this powerful and mysterious woman who has stolen his heart as things continue to heat up and passions explode. I'm looking for an exploration of neon noir aesthetic with touch of superhero/villain dynamics, a stylistic blend which I feel would be a total blast to write.

Some other engaging elements that we could throw in to spice things up are:

- Some sort of villain popping up in city that finally makes the two of them work together.
- The thief alter ego actually having a strong social media presence and even a massive following, publicly posting things and taunting. It would be fun to explore that and how public perception gets managed through that.
