“The Doctor: This is bad, I don't like this. [kicks console and yells in pain] Never use force, you just embarrass yourself. Unless you're cross, in which case... always use force!
Amy: Shall I run and get the manual?
The Doctor: I threw it in a supernova.
Amy: You threw the manual in a supernova? Why?
The Doctor: Because I disagreed with it! Now stop talking to me when I'm cross!”

Galactic Druid

Name: Charles Delgato
Race: BOB
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Appearance: 5 foot 9 inches, Blue eyes, one noticeably brighter and paler than the other with a feint glow in dark conditions, brown hair, aside from a small patch in the back of his head, just above his neck, where it no longer grows, with a small scar, a small jack just below his right ear, mostly concealed by his earlobe unless one knows where to look. Average build, tends to prefer jumpsuits or flight wear
Sexuality: Straight, with a particular interest in transhumans.
Weapons/special equipment: Neural interface and ocular implants that allow him to remotely control and see through his drones, as well as a neural jack that allows him to plug in to and directly interface with most modern computer equipment (I want to say USB, but chances are by the time this RP takes place in, there will be a different universal port), energy shield on his right forearm that expands to an 18 inch circumference. Builds and maintains a variety of drones for ship repair, hacking, and combat purposes, but can only carry so much at once.
Primary Skill: Computer specialist
Secondary Skill: Mechanic
Personality: Outgoing if he knows and trusts you, protective of friends, somewhat introverted and cautious around people he doesn't know
History: Charles is a 2nd generation BOB (born on board) from the Commonwealth Outpost No. 2 space station, one of several mining stations set up around fringe asteroids to collect resources, and then abandoned by their parent companies when those resources ran dry, along with any 'non-key' employees. Stations like Commonwealth 2 exist across the galaxy, surviving off trade, odd jobs, refueling or recharging passing craft, and other such jobs. Some stations have managed to flourish as gambling dens, sex trade hotspots, or with other services harder to come by in 'civilized' space, with Commonwealth 2 being no exception. Often, citizens on such stations need to have a certain level of mechanical know-how just to keep their own life support systems running, and Charles is no exception. Being a BOB, Charles lacked the bone density and muscle mass of humans born and raised in proper environments and gravitational systems. Despite his best efforts to stay in shape, he found himself having to rely on cybernetic enhancements in his adult life, especially during off station work, many of which he's made his own personal modifications to. Most of his implants were either purchased or salvaged from various jobs. He's carved out a living for himself doing odd jobs across the station, most of which involved various repair or computer work. He has a fascination with drones, and even built and modified several of his own for various purposes, most of which involve making repairs in hard to reach places.

With all nature of lowlife being routine on Commonwealth, Charles is wary of strangers, especially anyone tied to a corporation. He's not above working with them if it means getting paid, but given the stations history, he hardly trusts any of them, and is well aware that he is viewed as expendable. He's been off station a handful of times, most of the few times he has involved some kind of corporate espionage work, which his control of his drones proved very useful for. He's only barely started making a name for himself when he received this most recent job offer.

Notes: Not super committed to the name just yet, may change it. If I find a picture I actually like, I'll add it.

I like him, I was almost done with my own character, but then I got side tracked working on the setting ;D

Just wanted to let you guys know I have started to consolidate the lore for this RP here: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=287476.msg14132586#msg14132586

Also here is my character:

Name: Jasmine Stone
Race: Anthro, the anthro are a race of bipedal predatorial animal people that originated from a forest world in Asgaurd system. While the anthro are a lot like humans they do have a few distinct differences, such as eye sight and increased agility. The anthro are not a very strong race on their own, so they have created an alliance with the Elves of Asguard. The Anthro can be found working as basic laborers on most planets that except them.
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Appearance: Most of the time Jasmine wears a pair of black BDU pants or jeans with a verity of tank different tank tops. For combat Jasmine adds a black flack vest equipped with a small personal shield capable of blocking a few rounds form most small arms fire before has to recharge.
Sexuality: Bisexual
Weapons/special equipment: Assault rifle and a compact sub-machine gun
Primary Skill: Leader, Jasmine attended officer training at the United Planetary Peace Force Academy, this combined with her natural ability to lead by example makes her a very strong leader.
Secondary Skill: Electrical engineer, during her time at university and officer school Jasmine studied to be a electrical engineer.
Personality: Jasmine is the type of person that keeps her mouth shut unless she has something to say. Jasmine’s quiet, calculated personality has led many to question her ability to lead, but every soldier that has ever served under her agrees that when she speaks shit gets done. It takes time for Jasmine to trust others, but she is faithful to those who earn her trust. Though she isn’t big on spending time goofing off, every now and then Jasmine does try and relax, a little.
History:
Born to a poor family on the great city planet of Eidem Prime, home world of the United Planetary Government, Jasmine had to claw and fight her way through childhood. Even though they were poor and spent most of their time working, Jasmine’s parents worked hard to ensure their daughter attended public school and learned as much as she could. Thanks to her parents constantly pushing her to learn and better herself, Jasmine managed to secure a scholarship to the United Planetary Peace Force Academy.

At the academy Jasmine’s drive and hard upbringing, earned her a place as one of the top students. Graduating as a lieutenant, Jasmine started her military career as an officer of a small peace keeping battalion on the edges of the galaxy. As an officer Jasmine quickly learned the true nature of her job, to sacrifice others in the name of galactic peace, as even though she was trained in military combat the United Planetary Peace Force’s rules of engagement made it illegal for any soldier to fight back with deadly force. Not willing to put her men in harms way in the name of peace Jasmine quickly fell under scrutiny from those above her. Her unwillingness to lead her men the way she was paid to cost Jasmine her military career, earned her a one year stay in prison, as well as a dishonorable discharge from the Peace Force, but her fall saved the lives of her men, lives the government was more than happy to sacrifice.

Jasmine has only recently been released from prison and begun the process of rebuilding her life. With a record like her own, honest work is hard to find, so Jasmine is using the skills the Peace Force never let her use to earn a little money to keep herself fed and clothed.

Aww damn playing an Asguardian is tempting. Either a giant, or maybe Loki...

But naw, I like what I've got so far.

They're elves, not Asguardians like Thor :P

My goal in this game is to get my hands on mjolnir and make it into a drone. Or maybe Gungir. That wouldnt be broken at all.

Galactic Druid

Hmmm, or I could make an elf that is a hard light architect that is responsible for the bifrost...

Chantarelle

MC and I have no idea what ya’all are talking about. Lol
“If all we have is this imagined empty canvas of endless possibility...this potential heaven...then let it be our haven. A place of marriage between two souls desperate to feel something beyond the cruel tedium of real life. If we truly be the masters who dream these dreams then let our innermost desires fuel the adventures we create and the love that we make here, let it all unfold endlessly or for only a brief moment in time but for as long as it breathes let it devour and I will forgive your boldness if you will be so good as to forgive me mine...” ~ Chantarelle

I am a little confused too. I think he is just joking around because I named the elf government, the Elves of Asguard.

Just to make it clear the mythical Norse realm of Asguard, is not in this RP, I just stole the name Asguard as I suck at naming things and liked it :P

Yeah, I'm pretty much just being a butt, but I really do like the idea of high tech norse mythology. I may keep that on the backburner for a future request thread, lol.

Can we at least have an elite all female fighter pilot squadron called the Valkyries?

I mean in a galaxy as large as the Milky Way there probably is  ;D

Glade to have you back ;D

Just wanted to let you guys know I am currently working on setting everything up and should have the first post up tonight.

Also while you wait I thought I'd share some ideas and see which of these ships you guys like most, also I love seeing what other people can find  ;D

I like the first, it's got that cool almost millennium falcon look, and looks like it may have a liiiitle extra crew space. The second is nice, but almost seems too "new" for a ragtag group to start with.

How is posting going to work? The last freeform game I ran we used kind of a cycle system. The GM would post, and everyone could post once or twice before waiting for the GMs next post. It gave enough wiggle room for interaction while still letting the GM smoothly run things. It worked out really nicely and was fun.

Brittlby

I agree. It really depends on our benefactor, but I prefer the rough utility look of the first one.

What I am thinking, and let me know what you guys think of this, is that at the start of each big GM post I will put a list of our characters names in order, this will be the initial order in which we will all post in. After everyone's initial post, characters would then be free to interact at a more free rate with limit and pace being controlled by the each character's setting, as each character might need to post a little more or a little less depending on where they are and who they are interacting with.

Can't it be both? =p

I mean I guess, but as GM I won't really be facilitating anything extreme.
