Hi there.

This thread contains my cravings and desires for fantasy based role-play, from standard high-fantasy tropes to modern magic realism.

What I'm looking for in a partner:  I'm looking for fun, sexy role-plays.  I'm trying to learn to push my boundaries in terms of my writing, which until recently has been paragraph style roleplay on chat sites, usually in PM.  It's hard to get more different from there to here.  I'm probably not the best writer on the site, but I'm fun and I can often come up with some good ideas.  That said, I'm looking for flexibility, both in myself and in my partners.  I would like a posting turn around of 1-3 days if possible, and I don't need novels to keep myself entertained on every post.  I love the back and forth that can happen when people bounce ideas off of each other, and the new and interesting places that can take us, so if you see an idea here and think of a way that it can be improved to be even more fun, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

I prefer to be reached initially by PM on site, but after that and making sure we click at all I'm happy to move the discussion to Discord or Skype (Discord preferred).

Some of these ideas will be cribbed from my O/o thread, and others will be new. I also have a thread for Transhuman based science fiction stories if that strikes your fancy instead, I know if often does me.

Master and Apprentice (D/s, magic)

"Your sigils are clumsy.  Like this."  He held his hand up in front of himself, and visualized the glowing red symbol of power in front of him, all his will and focus dedicated to forming the carefully etched shape.  It was important to put care and diligence into the formation.  He exhaled slowly as he peeled it away from his own will, leaving it floating free in the air, separate from either of the mages in the room.  He felt the pride he always felt when he perfectly crafted something, even as simple as the rune now standing in the air. "There.  Now you try."

He looked like he was in his mid thirties, which had been surprising when she had first come to his tower to begin her apprenticeship.  The villagers from the nearby market told her when they learned who she was learning from that he had constructed the sixty-seven foot tower by hand, all by himself, over the course of about twenty years.  He'd diligently taken teams to the quarry, selected bricks individually, and then had them hauled to the sight, where he had done the brick and mortar work himself.   If that was true, then that meant that the ramshackle ruin of a wooden hut she could see from the window was where he had lived those twenty years, and that he was much older than he appeared, because that ruin had about fifty years of decay and neglect apparent.

He watched as she created the sigil again, a much more competent effort this time, and nodded his head at the younger woman.  "Perfect.  Good.  It's important that no matter what you do, be it magic, or otherwise, you show care and attention.  Especially with magic.  Do it again."  He waved his hand, wiping away all her hard work like it was nothing, and had her create the various sigils from the magic book one by one, over and over and over until they were done.  It took hours, but he didn't let her waver, or take any breaks.  By the end both of them were perspiring from the effort.  She'd done it, though, and he looked at her with pride.

"I think you deserve a reward."  he said, his lips curling into a mischievous smile.

...And cute elven girls.  But don't you dare call him out on that.

He hasn't always been a Blacksmith.  One time Toki was a renowned warrior.  He fought in, and distinguished himself, in a dozen battles during the last Orcwar.  He was responsible for saving the life of King Hjallbard himself, in a story he's been known to recount when he's deep in his cups.  One day, though, he hung up his axe, picked up a hammer, and sat down to make minecart rails for a living.  He hasn't told anyone what precipitated the change.  He'd be happy if he never did anything again.

Unfortunately for Toki, fate has other ideas in mind.

Something important to regain. (Adventure)

Aelfwyrlirensamacholiae was a prince, once.  He hadn't been the favoured son, which had suited him, as he saw the toll that a hundred and fifty years of duty took on his older brother.  In comparison, he was relatively free to do as he wished, and so he took up the practice of Elven High Magic.

Then the war came, and he had to radically shift gears.

When the humans attacked, they didn't wage war the same way the elven clans did, slowly and carefully.  Instead they used lightning strikes, overwhelming force, fire and disease.  The elven capital of Valairto Tylvasanach was overwhelmed in months, and the king was killed.  Alefwyr's brother became king, and there was simply not time for High Magic.  Instead, he swallowed his pride, and learned sorcery instead, something that barred him from the higher mysteries and tied him forever with the base earth.  He became so cut off from the celestial plane that he can not even see the stars any more.

It did help, though.  With his inate magical talent and focus, coupled with his desperation, for a while he helped to turn the tide of the war.  He inflicted great losses on the human armies, earning the name of The Black Elf.  He bought time for the elves to retreat ever deeper into their forest, where things developed more into a stalemate.  It remained that way for several years, the toll of leadership slowly destroying his brother, until one day the humans once again got the upper hand, and destroyed what remained.

Now they had the forest, and it was over.  The dynasty was ended, and a provisional government was put in place, and signed an agreement of protectorate with the human kingdoms.  With that, he was no longer a prince, and no longer could practice the magics that were his birthright, and so he abandoned the forest and began to wander, seeking the motivation he needs to give himself a purpose, or to finally go back and try to free his people once again.

Prince Andrik is bored.  He's not the first in line for the throne, so as far as the family line is concerned, he's very much the 'spare' in case something should happen to his brother.  He's chafing under all the controls and protocols, though.

One day, Andrik is walking with his retinue when he sees (YC), a beautiful but destitute young woman, selling random knick knacks in the market square, but really she's using it as an excuse to pick some pockets.  She's desperate enough to try to steal from the prince, since his coinpurse looks nice and heavy, but she gets herself caught.  She's arrested, and thrown into the dungeons.

She's probably expecting to languish there forever, since no one is going to care if a gutter rat disappears.  Imagine her surprise, however, when Andrik himself comes down, frees her, and adds her to his retinue.
