We are now recruiting both Meta-Human Adventurers and Meta-Human Criminals...

The Liberators are in need for Reserve members, as well as needing to recruit our opposition. We have insidious Meta-Human Villianous known as 'The Amazon' (after the South American region). Unfortuantely The Amazon doesn't work with a team, she's more than able to operate against the team by herself. And we need to establish a group of meta-human nemesis' to fight against the Liberators.

During the years prior to the Second World War the allied nations of the United States and the United Kingdom pooled their best scientists to work on what would become known as 'The Patriot Project' to create meta-human super-soldiers that would be able to provide a blance for the Einsatzgruppen Übersoldaten that had been introduced to the world by the Thrid Reich during the Olympic Games held in Berlin.

Both nations were able to get 180 men and women to volunteers for the program, and all but one would go on to become the first meta-human super-soldiers who would spearhead their nations war efforts. The lone exception turned out to be a Soviet Sleeper Agent who would become the Soviet Union's first Meta-Human Super-Soldier who took the codename 'Proletariat' and launched the USSR's own project to create meta-human operatives using much more brutal methods.

The allied meta-humans were organized into multiple teams that where under the umbrella of the Freedom Brigade.

When the Second World War ended, many of these men and women whom had been the Golden Age of Heroism would go on to lead successful lives in their civilian identities. But some chose to continue to serve their countries as the costumed meta-human 'heroes' fighting against crime and possible Soviet agent provocators during what would become known as the Silver Age of Heroism.



Patriot I (Nathaniel Hale Spaight, Sr.) retired from active duty shortly after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, his last official appearance was taking part in the President’s State Funeral. Nathaniel Hale Spaight, Sr. was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1966 and served five terms before being elected to the United States Senate in 1976 where he served for three successful terms before he retired in 1994.

Patriot II (Nathaniel Hale Spaight, Jr.) chose to retire from the costumed meta-human activities in the mid-1970s to devote his full time efforts into building Spaight Innovations. Nate Spaight Jr. assumed the active day-to-day administration of the Spaight Technologies umbrella of subsidiaries of Spaight Enterprises when his father was elected to the US Senate in 1976.

Patriot III (Nathaniel Hale Spaight III) is the current costumed meta-human carrying the mantle of the Patriot into the 21st Century, and is a natural born meta-human super-soldier whom has super-strength (can lift almost 2-tons), regeneration (can regrow lost limbs), exceptional reflexes (can almost dodge bullets, and can snatch a knocked off galss without spilling a drop), and heightened senses.

Meta-Human (Homo sapiens superior): The term Meta-Human is the official designation that refers to those individuals whom have an active Meta-Gene, other common terms that have been used to refer to meta-humans are mutant, mutate or even augment. There exists many different types of Meta-Humans

Meta Human (Homo sapiens novus):

The Atlanteans (Homo sapiens mermanus): The majority of the descendants of Atlantis are a genetically altered sub species of Humans that live in the Earth’s Oceans. After the tragedy that caused the sinking of the continent of Atlantis their ancestors were citizens of the surviving major cities of the Atlantean Empire whom were forced by circumstance to undergo genetic modification to allow them to survive underwater. The Atlanetans are now composed of three distinct sub species that are best known for the color of their skin tones; the Blue skins (city of Poseidonis is their capitol), the Green skins (city of Tritonis is their capitol, even though the majority now live as nomadic clans across the floor of the Pacific ocean) and the Pink skins (city of Neputineis is their capitol). The Pink skinned Atlanteans did not engage in extensive genetic engineering to survive underwater and are thus still able to exist in both water and air while blue and green skinned Atlanteans can only exist out of the water for short periods of time.
Pink skinned Atlanteans: The City of Neptuneis is a Constitutional Monarchy, since the Second World War it’s people have maintained contact with the surface world and have representation on the United Nations and hold one of the few permeant seats on the United Nations Security Council due to their participation with the Allies in fighting against the Axis powers. Can live equally on the surface or under the surface of the water.
Blue skinned Atlanteans: The City of Poseidonis is an Absolute Monarchy, it’s people are a proud and fiercely territorial. They are excessive of just how protective of the territories they have claimed as their own, and maintain a standing military force that can match that of any surface dwelling nation. Can only live for short periods of time on the surface, become totally accustomed to life underwater.
Green skinned Atlanteans: While the city of Tritonis has become a Consitutional Monarchy ruled by a queen advised by a council of representatives of each of the Nomadic clans, their society is very much matriarchical in nature in that each of the nomadic clans are lead by a Matriarch whom is descended form the first Queen of Tritonis.


The <wise men> (Homo sapiens idaltu): The <wise men> are the descendants of Atlanteans whom did not end up under the oceans nor making a home on colonies on other planets in the Sol System. Instead ended up becoming the peak perfection of what humanity can become. While the <wise men> still have the ability to have an active meta gene, they all are examples of what peak human physical and mental capabilities are, and have a life span over a 150 years or longer.


The <star children> (Homo sapiens excelsior): The <star children> are the descendants of the Atlanteans whom escaped the sinking of Atlantis with the assistance of the Atlantean Extra Terrestrial allies whom used their genetic manipulation technology to allow them to survive on hidden colonies located on the moons of Jupiter and the surface of Mars. The extra terrestrial genetic manipulation has caused the meta gene to give all members of their species the following abilities at a wide varying degrees of strength: Energy Expulsion, Flight, Exceptional Strength, Near-Invulnerability, exceptional Self-Regeneration abilities, and have life spans over a 150 years or longer.

The <> (Homo anthropus habilis): The <> are an artificially created servitor species using base genetic material drawn form Humans and the great apes that had been used as pets on the continent of Atlantis prior to it’s destruction, these ape-like humaniods were originally created to serve as menial workers and laborers and have remained as such millennia after their original creation.


The <Great Apes> (Homo anthropus sapiens): The <Great Apes> are the decedents of one of the artificially created servitor species using base genetic material drawn from Humans and the great apes that had originally been used as pets on the continent of Atlantis prior to it’s destruction, these ape-like humaniods were originally created to serve as menial workers and laborers, but have since grown past this stage to possess full sentience and have developed a intricate culture of their own. The <Great Apes> are an exceptionally xenophobic species that has been engaged in a long series of border skirmishes with their neighbors, the African Kingdom of <Wakanda>. The forebears of the <Great Apes> rebelled against their Atlantean masters, and carried out a bloody and brutal revolution that saw the deaths of many of the remaining Atlanteans whom had survived the sinking of their homelands. The reprisals to this uprising was harsh and swift that saw those few remaining as slaves genetically altered on the genetic level for docility and timid behavior. This left the <wise men> with having to decide what to do with their former slaves, instead of just executing the rebellious forebears of the <Great Apes> they chose instead to exile them into the deepest darkest parts of the continent of Africa. They did not realize that they had exiled their former slaves in an area that had three Human proto-kingdoms until it was to late. The <wise men> sent advisors and teachers to help the people whom would found the Kingdom of <Wakanda>, teaching them the advanced technologies that has allowed them to keep up with the <Great Apes>.

There exists a type of Ultra-Class Meta-Humans that are somehow able to harness the lifeforce of sentient living beings, and use that power to create openings to stable pocket dimensions that allow them to draw upon the nearly limitless energy found there. Thus giving them the power to preform actions that can appear to be god-like causing people to mistake them as Gods and being worshiping them as such. The more worshipers they are able to acquire, the stronger they personally become and thus allowing them not to draw upon the energy of the pocket dimension they are able to draw upon.



The Ancient Gods

One of the recent scientific discoveries has been that the Ancient ‘Gods’ of Human mythology are actually Godlings... Extremely powerful meta-humans whom somehow had attained virtual immortality back during the age of antiquity. These Godlings had somehow also discovered the secret of creating pocket dimensions that allows them to draw upon vast amounts of energy that has given them god-like powers to preform feats that can only be classified as miracles by observers. A conclave of Pantheon leaders were held during the rise of monotheism, and they decided that they should not fight against the spread of what they saw as true religion and withdrew back to their pocket dimensions where time passes at a much slower rate causing them to remain eternally young. During the Second World War the veil between the Modern Age and the Heroic Age as broken when Nazi Occultists used their knowledge to summon ancient beings form their pocket dimensions. This single event triggered an end of the Godlings self-imposed exile on a limited scale, and every once in a while a Godling will cross over into our dimension and interfere with the affairs of mortals. They feel that they are entitled to take these actions this since even in the modern age some meta-humans have somehow been achieved the status as Godlings. And thus the various Pantheons have the right to ‘tutor’ these ‘young gods’ in the ways of “Godhood”. The fact that pantheons are interested in the increased appearance of Ultra-Class Meta-Humans has caused many religious leaders to point to the possibility that the end times are rapidly approaching.

The Winter Guard: The Winter Guard is the current officially sanctioned meta-human team of the Russian Federation, unofficially the decendent of the Soviet Union Red Brigade that was created during the Great Patriotic war. The Winter Guard was formed in the aftermath of the collapse of the former Soviet Union, and the formation of the new Russian Federation when the new Russian Government disbanded the Soviet Union's premiere government sponsored team of meta human ‘heros' the Supreme Soviets when several of the hard line members attempted to overthrow the new capitalist government. The founding members of the new Winter Guard where composed of those members of the Supreme Soviets whom had supported the new democratically elected government as well as members of the old Soviet Super Soldiers that had gone renegade during the later half of the 1980s. The Winter Guard has become the premiere group of Russian Meta Human Heroes whom have taken on the Russian Organized Crime and other internal threats to the new stability of the democratic government in Moscow.

Red Brigade: The Red Brigade was created by the Soviet Union during the ‘Great Patriotic War' (the Second World War) to act as the premier Soviet Meta Human team to stand opposed to Hitler's Third Reich. Even before the war had ended the Red Brigade had found itself being replaced with the smaller People's Protectorate that was staunchly under the direct control of Josef Stalin. Many of the members of the Red Brigade found themselves on Stallin's Purges and this caused many members of the Red Brigade to use the chaos in the aftermath of their many battles to defect to the West.

People's Defense Force: The People's Defense Force was organized and funded by the People's Republic of China in response to all of the western meta human teams. The People's Defense Force primary mission is the apprehension and training of meta humans in the People's Republic of China in an attempt to keep a tight control over their meta human population (until the formation of the People's Defense Force all meta humans where killed when encountered by the People's Liberation Army).


The Sons (and Daughters) of Liberty: A team of patriotic meta-human WWII veterans whom operated throughout the United States during the early years of the Cold War dealing with meta-human threats and other problems. Became famous when they stood up to Sen. Joseph McCarthy during the Army-McCarthy Hearings and again during the House Committee on Un-American Activities hearings when they refused to answer any questions about their private identities, or their personal political beliefs.

The Royal Flush Gang: The Royal Flush Gang is a very old group of 'criminals' who have operated for close to a century and half. These families have focused heavily on confidence types of operations (think Ocean's Eleven or Leeverage) but they have slowly started to evolve into meta-human types of non-violent crimes. Recently the Royal Flush Gang has started to take consignment type missions that place them into either quasi-legal or illegal activities. The positions within the Royal Flush Gang are Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, Joker, and Deuce (the four suits of playing cards can be  represented but are very rarely more than two use the same codenames).

Earth Force has become the terror of many big businesses all over the world, as well as having taken actions against the United States government and the United States military in an attempt to discredit the administration of President George W. Bush and the ‘War against Terror'. A major controversy arose when a reporter discovered that several members of Earth Force had supplied financial contributions to the American Green and Democratic Parties during the recent election cycle, and used their powers to harass voters more inclined to vote Republican in an attempt to influence the outcome of the national presidential elections.

The Living Area: The team’s headquarters have living areas that are referred to as suites that have been set-aside for at least twelve residents. Each ‘suite’ is fully furnished and pretty much identical to one another, each suite has a living room, a small kitchenette, a full bathroom, a small den/study, and two bedrooms (although four of the suites have three bedrooms and an extra bathroom that is shared by two of the smaller bedrooms and the private master bathroom has several ‘extras’ added). These suites are furnished to provide the residents with everything they could possibly need while not ‘on-duty’ during their off time. 
 
The Living Room comes furnished with a plush couch, two matching plush easy chairs, a full Entertainment Centre (a 46" wide-screen high definition TV, a cable hook-up w/the works, a DVD Player, a VCR, a CD Player/Cassette Player/Radio Stereo, a Nintendo Game Cube game consule, an X-Box game console, a Play Station 2, and is equipped with the home theater surround sound system), several sets of shelves, a coffee table, an table with a phone (equipped with unlimited long distance, call waiting, caller ID, and voicemail).

The suite has a small study/den that has been furnished with a desk w/comfortable leather office chair, a phone (equipped with unlimited long distance, call waiting, caller ID, and voicemail), a personal computer (17" flat screen monitor, an 800 MB RAM, a 200 GB hard drive, a Zip Drive, CD/DVD-Rom drive, a CD/DVD burner, a cable/DSL modem, a scanner, a color laser printer, a digital camera), a small entertainment centre w/surround sound (15" flat panel LCD high-definition TV monitor, a DVD/CD player, a VCR, and a cable hook-up w/the works), several sets of book shelves, two leather easy chairs, and a small leather couch.

The two bedrooms are furnished with a queen sized bed, two nightstands, a phone (also equipped with caller ID, call waiting, unlimited long distance and voicemail like the one in the living room), a wardrobe, a walk-in closet, a desk w/ computer (15" LCD monitor, CD Burner, CD-ROM Drive, 300 MB RAM, 100 GB Hard Drive, a color Lexmark printer, a scanner, and a DSL/Cable Modem), easy chair, a set of chesterdrawers, a full-length mirror, and a small entertainment centre (has a 15" screen LCD high definition TV, a cable hook-up w/the works, a VCR, a DVD/CD Player, a radio/cassette player, and several small shelves).
 
The suite has a small kitchenette that is equipped with a sink w/an attached garbage disposal, a small stove, a microwave, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a small set of cabinets. The full bathroom has been furnished with a bathtub that has been equipped w/a jacuzzi attachment.



The Headquarters Staff: d

The Butler: The headquarters butler has many duties among the staff; he oversees the rest of the staff, and is the most visible member of the staff and catches the most hell when things don’t go right. The Butler spends most of his day handling the major day-to-day activities of the Headquarters with the assistance of the Housekeeper, and overseeing the activities of the small staff of ‘downstairs’ maids.

Adamantine: Adamantine is the ‘mythical’ metal of the Gods.

Promethium: Named after Prometheus, the Titan of Myth, Promethium was a self generating metal and power source invented by Dayton Industries to solve the world's energy problems. Although that never became the case, it has proved a valuable substance in several industrial and scientific areas.

Adamantium: Adamantium is a virtually indestructible man made steel alloy which does not occur in nature and whose exact chemical composition is a United States government classified secret. Adamantium is not an element: its properties do not qualify it for any new space on the Periodic Table of Elements. Rather, Adamantium is a series of closely related compounds of iron created through a secret process discovered by the American metallurgist Dr. Myron MacLain. MacLain began experimenting with the process that created Adamantium as a young scientist in the employ of the United States government in the early 1940s. Assigned to create a super metal with which to build tanks, MacLain labored for month, experimenting with various iron alloys. One of his experiments utilized the rare meteoric ore now known as Wakandan Vibranium. He tried to fuse the Vibranium to the iron alloy numerous times without success. Then one night when he dozed off, some as yet unknown factor entered the process, and permitted the fusion to occur. Upon discovering his success, MacLain poured the molten metal into a disc shaped mold. The disc, once solidified, has proven to be the most impervious object ever created on Earth. MacLain turned the discover to the government and it was given to Captain America to use as his shield. Neither MacLain nor anyone else has ever been able to discover what was the x factor that entered the process, or has been able to fuse Vibranium with another metal (the unknown iron Vibranium alloy of which the shield is composed resembles True Adamantium, although Adamantium itself contains no Vibranium).

Vibranium: Vibranium is a rare, naturally occurring metallic substance, theorized to be of extraterrestrial origin, which exists in two forms. The first, Wakandan Vibranium, is found almost exclusively in the tiny African nation of Wakanda. Wakandan Vibranium, though as yet unknown means, absorbs vibratory energy in its vicinity, such as sound waves, with in itself. The apparent observable vibratory rate of the molecules of the Vibranium itself does not increase when the Vibranium absorbs mechanical energy. The outside vibratory energy is stored within the bonds between the molecules making up the Vibranium. As a result, a chunk of Vibranium, which has absorbed a considerable amount of vibratory energy, would be exceedingly hard to demolish. If enough force were applied to this chunk to smash it the Vibranium would explode, releasing much of the absorbed energy. There are limits to the capacity of Vibranium to absorb vibratory energy, although the exact extent of these limits has not yet been determined. For example, in recent years the oil conglomerate Roxxon discovered that a certain small island in the South Atlantic had a foundation composed of Wakandan Vibranium. Roxxon found it necessary to destroy the island and blew it up with bombs. Unable to absorb the force of the explosion, the Vibranium was destroyed, but it did succeed in entirely absorbing the sound made by the explosion. The other form, Antarctic Vibranium, has thus far been found in nature only in the isolated region of Antarctica known as the Savage Land. Antarctic Vibranium is also known as "Anti Metal" due to its effects. Whereas Wakandan Vibranium absorbs vibratory energy into its molecular bond, Antarctic Vibranium, through a means that is not yet understood, emanates vibrations, which cause the atomic molecular bonds in nearby metals of other kinds to weaken. The result is to cause nearby solid metals to liquefy. If huge quantities of Antarctic Vibranium were gathered together, at some unknown point the accumulated mass would be so great that the vibrations given off by the entire mass would increase logarithmically as more Vibranium was added. Theoretically, if the enormous mound of Wakandan Vibranium were composed of Antarctic Vibranium instead, the resulting vibrations would therefore liquefy metals throughout Africa, and possibly beyond. A fraction of the sacred mound of Wakandan Vibranium was apparently converted to Antarctic Vibranium by particle bombardment. It is not known what the Wakandans have done with this artificially created Antarctic Vibranium.
Vibranium is not an element, despite various references to it as such. The properties of Vibranium do not qualify it to fill any gaps in the Periodic Table of Elements. Moreover, Vibranium could not be an element with a higher atomic weight than any known elements, since it is not radioactive as the elements with the highest atomic weights are.

Green Lantern Power Ring: Three billion years ago, the Guardians of the Universe created an intergalactic peace force, armed with Power Rings to wield their emerald power. The first Ring was carved from the Guardians' Central Power Battery, and given to a Rori Dag, who became the very first Green Lantern. The Rings endowed the Lanterns with a variety of powers, including the ability to create powerful plasma constructs, flight, invulnerability, and communication. There was good reason for the Ring being called "the most powerful weapon of the universe", but to avoid corruption, the power was limited. The Ring had to be recharged with a personal power battery every 24 hours, and an implanted (but removable) impurity made them powerless to anything yellow. However, the most important limitation always was the willpower of the ringbearer.

Combine a mutant who wants equality for his people and a nation looking to make a name on the world stage and you have the controversial Metahuman Dictator. Using his political savvy and considerable powers, the Metahuman Dictator has risen to lead a country. Often he’s taken over a pre-existing nation and changed it to fit his goals, but it’s just as likely he’s created his own nation somehow, possibly by raising a new island. The Metahuman Dictator has a nation of followers to use as resources; they may not believe in what he’s doing, but he’s always good to them, so they support him. In addition, he has access to money and weapons on a scale a few orders of magnitude higher than the heroes encounter in their own cities. He may be radical, but his power and agenda can’t be ignored, especially when he’s working on a plan which, if successful, could have a significant impact on the entire world.

Background Information/Origin:

While Alexandra never grew up in the greatest home, she also didn't grow up in a terrible home.  Sure her dad's a crooked cop, but he never let his little girl see that side of him.  She'd always adored him, and both him and Natalya always taught her the values of right and wrong, not matter how grey they actually perceived the world for themselves.  In fact, Natalya knew nothing of Rex's involvement in such corrupt schemes that would bring them home a paycheck every month that put just a little more food on the table.

Living on the rough side of the tracks came with some inherent risks, mostly gangs and street violence.  While they lived on the fringes of such a society, Alexandra also had to go to school in the middle of such a place.  It's the very reason that ever since she's been able to walk, that her mother has been teaching her how to defend herself.  Not in sport, but in necessity.  Natalya, in fact, is one of the founders of a martial arts called Kajukenbo, specifically made for self defense and combines a number of martial arts.  Also, there are no such things as 'illegal' maneuvers in such a style.

Eventually, Alexandra started to grow up.  She'd seen heroes and heroines on TV and thought them wonderous.  Yet with no powers of her own, she couldn't see herself doing anything like that.  Instead she also viewed the police above those heroes, mostly because of her dad, but also because they had to fight within the boundries of the law.  And they really were risking their lives every day.  Wanting to become like this, Alexandra decided to join the army.  At eighteen she was into and out of bootcamp like it was nothing.  Her sharp mind placed her among the top of her class, and into a special bomb-squad for those units in Afghanistan. 

Their jobs were simple, go in, find the bombs, diffuse them, and then everyone would be fine.  Their suits were made from an adamantium alloy weave that would protect them from high-caliber rounds, and even RPG's to an extent.  Mostly it'd protect them if those bombs ever went off.  They'd had a pretty flawless record until the insurgents got wise.  They tricked the squad into diffusing a dummy, and just when their guard was down another blew up right under their feet.

Alexandra was the closest to the disaster, right on top of the bomb.  It was a tactical nuke, meant solely for taking out their squad, which was having a devastating effect on the terrorists ability to operate.  When all was said and done Alexandra was the only one left.  There were black marks where her friends had been, Alexandra remembered everything.  She woke up stark naked, her suit gone, her friends gone, and everything within a five block radius absolutely gone.  But she, the closest to the blast, was still alive. 

SHIELD was quick to swoop in and investigate, they even poked and prodded at Alexandra until they figured out that somehow her adamantium weave fused with her cells on a molecular level.  Thus leaving Alexandra quite invincible.  Still only a few months after her eighteenth birthday, Alexandra found herself being trained as a SHIELD soldier, then a special agent.  Her skin had become impenetrable, her muscles unrippable, and her bones unbreakable.  Even without the abilities that SHIELD was about to bestow upon her, Alexandra had become quite a force to be reckoned with. 

SHIELD introduced her as The Shield, a program meant to place a SHIELD operative in each city in order to protect it and give them a good name.  While most of their other operatives were male, the female The Shield made quite an impression.  Originally she had no powers, other than her ability to remain unbroken.  Bullets still hurt, as did fists and any other blunt objects, but they couldn't break her.  They couldn't even bruise her.  Giving her a suit of unstable molecules was the first step.  Her vibranium round shield was the next, and her gauntlets with mini-vibranium shields were the next.  Trained with each she's able to throw the shield with amazing accuracy and take out opponents without a problem.

SHIELD, despite Alexandra's flawless record as a superheroine (over about six months) didn't feel this was enough.  They used the belt and the pocket dimensions to hide machines which would contact the unstable molecules, and give Alexandra specific powers.  Super strength, flight, and super speed during flight.  With these capabilities, Alexandra would find herself to be completely unstoppable.  And while she's just starting her superheroine career, she's becoming quite popular in Freedom City quite fast.  Though she's also gaining quite a few enemies at the same time.  One of which being her corrupt father, not that she's aware of it, nor he aware that The Shield is his beloved daughter.

Known Meta-Human Abilities:

Unbreakable (natural)- Alexandra's skin, bones, muscles and organs cannot be damaged.  This is not to say she can't be hurt, but nothing is going to break
Flight (belt)- Through the combined technology of her belt and The Shield costume, she is able to achieve flight, and even hover.
Super Strength (belt)-The belt, or rather a pocket dimension holding technology, gives her enough strength to not only lift, but throw 10 tons for three blocks.  Dead lifts above her head limit out around 40 tons, and bench press at about 25. Luckily she's learned how to pull her punches.
Super Speed when Flying (belt)- In addition to flying, The Shield can do so up to 200mph.

Particularities, Limitations, and Weaknesses:

Belt-As one might guess, her belt is a huge weakness.  It's held to her body (in a nice form-fitting way) by a simple zipper in back.  While the zipper is vibranium, and held closed with a latch.  If someone figures it out to remove the latch, unzip, and remove the belt, The Shield will lose all but her natural powers.
Stomach- Given the make-up of the belt, it's not a big deal unless her belt is removed.  However Alexandra has a particular stomach fetish, trailing fingers will turn her on, as will kicks or punches. 
Crotch-Similar to her stomach, trailing fingers, fists, or feet might turn her on, wind her, or knock the fight out of her.  It's mostly effective when she doesn't have super strength. Otherwise it'll hurt, but not enough to remove her from the fight.
Blunt Force- Fists and baseball bats do more damage than bullets in her case.  Especially across her cranium, they'll hurt for longer periods of time than a sharp object (though sharp objects do hurt more immediately).  In a fight these are a great way to wear her down.  Or in a tight spot, throw her in front of a speeding bus, train, or Mack truck.  All will knock her out instantly even with that special belt on.  So will super powered fists or large caliber weapons.
Poisons- Possibly her greatest weakness.  No matter what, she's still got to breathe.  A simple rag of chloroform will put her out just like any normal human.  Or tear gas, or any kind of gas.  Goop and other topical poisons that soak in through the skin are also highly effective, and of course anything that has to be digested will work.  The only things that don't work, obviously, are injections...simply because nothing can penetrate her skin.   
Naive- While smart and cunning, Alex can be a little naive at times.  She can think of what to do, and even execute, but sometimes the world isn't as black and white as she'd like it to be.  And as of yet, few people have tried sneaking up on her, or luring her into traps, so she has  no experience with such things.

Equipment, Weapons and Paraphernalia:

Belt- Her red and white striped belt holds multiple pocket dimensions.  She most often uses these to get her riot-gear zip ties to tie up and arrest criminals and/or villains.  The belt, though, also produces the energy required to make her other abilities be absorbed by the unstable molecules.
Suit- Her suit is made up of unstable molecules.  It takes on the same abilities as her skin and body, but also those abilities that the belt produces. 
Gloves- Her gloves are quipped with mini-shield shooters.  These are vibranium in make, and she can shoot four off without having to reload.  Each glove has two mini-discs for firing. 
Shield-Her shield is a vibranium/adamantium alloy which is light enough to carry and throw for a normal person, but with her super strength it makes it a very long-range weapon.  This shield also bounces off of other objects and with a calculated path (done by Alexandra in her head) can be thrown in a tight space to take out numerous badguys.  Naturally, it also acts as a shield for The Shield.  Giving her a reprieve from blunt force objects.  As of yet, it has  not been stolen from her.  If it were, it might be used against her.

Skills, Talents, Hobbies, and Abilities:

Expert Martial Artist-Since the tend age of three, she's been learning to take care of herself with her mom as a teacher.  She's quite adept at taking out the badguys even without powers other than being unbreakable, after all that's what she did for the first six-months as The Shield.
Marksman-SHIELD has given her a crash course in how to use her weapons, the mini-shields and her shield for throwing, but her father taught her how to use a pistol at an early age.  This gives her exceptional abilities both inside and outside of her costume.
Smart-In a high-IQ sort of way.  Probably a genius level, and it makes things extremely easy for Alexandra to learn and execute.  Hence to why she's so young but such a top-level superheroine.
Natural Leader-With the ability to analyze a situation, Alex is able to figure out who would be best where.  This hasn't come into play yet, but is likely to come out if she's forced to work with other individuals.

Costume Description: Her costume, referenced above, is a solid blue bodysuit that appears to be spandex.  It's actually made of unstable molecules (explained below).  There's a red and white striped belt that covers her abdominal region completely and fits to her body quite well.  It zips up in the back, and isn't obvious, but isn't hidden either. She has knee-high, thick-soled, red boots, and matching red gloves.  Her sleeves are white and there's a big white star embroidered on her chest.  Her mask is attached to the rest of the suit and pulls over the top of her head, having a hole in back for her hair to hang out of it...

: Born daughter to one of the greatest superheroes of an age to an unknown mother, Karen was, unexpectedly, born blind, despite her father's sight not being a genetic defect, but, rather, a result of the same accident which gave him his powers. To put her at even more of a disadvantage, unlike her father, whose other senses were enhanced to superhuman levels, Karen's were merely exceptional. Still, raised by a loving and understanding (if sometimes demanding and overprotective) single father (her mother was never mentioned by her father, and she never worked up the courage to ask him), Karen grew up to be an exceptional young lady, intelligent, driven, and possessed of a strong sense of justice.

Then, on her eighteenth birthday, something miraculous happened-- she became able to see. And, more than that, she gained powers of her own. Though learning to live with sight was disorienting at she soon began training to take up her father's mantle as defender of the innocent and oppressed.

However, just one year after beginning her training and gaining her powers, Karen lost something even more important than her sight: with no warning, her father suddenly and mysteriously disappeared without a trace. Hard as she and his old friends tried to find him, nothing was found.

Burying herself in work, Karen furiously pushed herself to her limits to finish her training as quickly as possible under the tutelage of some of her father's oldest and best friends in the superhero community until finally, after another year of training, she was deemed ready and worthy to don the colors of her father to fight crime.

For the next four years, Karen was a student in pre-law by day, and the masked vigilante Darkdevil by night, cleaning up the crime-ridden section of Manhattan known as Hell's Kitchen. Though they grew bold and lazy in the year-long absence of any masked hero in their turf, the criminals of Hell's Kitchen quickly learned to fear the formidable young heroine, who proved herself worthy of the title "The Woman Without Fear".

However, recently, hearing rumors that old enemies of her father might have connections in Freedom City, and still hoping to find him, or at least discover what happened to him, Karen has come to Freedom City as a student at the prestigious local law school, bringing her own methods and tactics, honed in the dark back-alleys of Hell’s Kitchen, to Freedom City.

Known Meta-Human Abilities:
- Evil eye: This power of Darkdevil’s is perhaps the one that has earned her the most infamy among her enemies in Hell’s Kitchen, though word of it has yet to reach Freedom City. The majority of the suit is a dark, blood red, while the gloves, boots-- the heels of which add about another inch to her height--, sash, and interlocking DD on her chest are all black. The back of her cowl lets out her dark hair. The suit itself is made of a material not unlike that used by some of her father's colleagues and is extremely resilient.

Her weapon of choice is a billy club, much like that wielded by her father. This multi-purpose weapon can extend to form a quarterstaff, and can also be split into two parts and used like nunchaku. Finally, it can also be used as a thrown weapon. Additionally, within it, the billy club contains thirty feet of aircraft control cable connected to a case-hardened steel grapnel. Internal mechanisms allow the cable to be neatly wound and unwound, while a powerful spring launches the grapnel.

Skills, Talents, Hobbies, and Abilities: Being a law student is time consuming. Being a law student and a costumed vigilante is even moreso. As such, Karen doesn’t have much time for hobbies what free time she does have she spends training and studying, only rarely going out on dates or to social events. However, her training does make her an extremely skilled acrobat and martial artist. Furthermore, due to the acuity of her senses, she’s quick to pick up details, both about objects and body language.  Finally, due to her studies to become a lawyer, she has a fair grip on the nuances of the legal system, though she is far from being as knowledgeable about it as her father was.

Distinguishing Characteristics: Karen is a beautiful young woman of mixed ancestry that makes it hard to distinguish exactly what she’s comprised of. Regardless, she is very attractive, her curvy body and long dancer’s legs only made more attractive by her athletic build. Her skin is bronzed, and her hair brunette with chestnut highlights. Typically, when going to class or interviews she’ll wear it in a bun, but when in casual situations, she likes to experiment with it, often trying out various hairstyles. For utility, however, her hair is always pulled back into a ponytail when she assumes her Darkdevil persona.

The Liberators are in need for Reserve members, as well as needing to recruit our opposition. We have insidious Meta-Human Villianous known as 'The Amazon' (after the South American region). Unfortuantely The Amazon doesn't work with a team, she's more than able to operate against the team by herself. And we need to establish a group of meta-human nemesis' to fight against the Liberators.

If not.. um.. there's a massive Kirby homage section in it with the Omega where the Omega is as to Darkseid as the Furions are to the New Gods, as a capsule summary of some of the ideas going on within.. no picture, I can never find ones that I like

Though he might wish it otherwise, the Terminus is far from Omega's perfect dominion of entropy. Even in the heart of degradation, his grasp closes so tightly, too tightly, that it is inevitable that matters squeeze out and slip through his fingers. So it has been with the embodied thoughts and soul shards of the Alphian gods he laid low in his rise to power. Their final defiance taking form as the shining Furion race, ever keeping ahead of his influence, ever striking at his forces, his plots, ever an itch he cannot scratch become as a maddening goad.  But the Omega is not without fell cunning, and where he cannot strike at the body, he strikes at spirit. Knowing the genesis of his enemies, he traveled out across the surface of his capital world, forces in tow, travelling until he reached one of the nobler and heroic gods whose skin he had stretched out to cover his planet. The proper goads awoke a trapped and maddened mind long enough to will into being another warrior born of divine essence and desperation to join the battle against Omega. Unfortunately, the tyrant being on hand for this birth, let him claim it for his own.

The boy was raised and trained amongst the more warped of an army of nihilists, indoctrinated and forged to be Omega's hound and hunter, his wolf of battle, forcing him to fight constantly for his survival from one day to the next, honing him in skill and fury. He practically lived in the city spanning gladiator pits, his gory exploits within broadcast across the Terminus, the mad joy in his eyes as he tore men apart with his bare hands projected all the way to the Furion homeworld, that they might know what had become of one of their own.  As the youth grew, he 'graduated' to taking part in the planet spanning proxy wars Omega's lieutenants waged for their own spite and amusement. His howls amidst the drones and soldiers he rent apart seemed ecstatic. He was the delight of his people, for a certain way of using the word, his mastery of brutality a sight to see, a peerless killer who could be relied on for bloody and thrilling display whether with weapons, from stealth appropriate to a predatory animal, or the power in his own hands. He had place of pride in Omega's degenerate court, a prominent standing amidst the destroyers and corrupters of worlds. What he had of his progenitor's grace was wild and feral, the wolf's loping pace that was a measure of waiting until a throat was exposed. He was a living proclamation from the depths of incarnated Armageddon that there was nothing that could not be turned to the Omega's purpose, nothing was beyond the reach of entropy.

The young man did all the things a monster should, he soon became an enforcer out among the subject worlds of the Terminus. Taking tribute, putting down rebellion, making examples just for the sake of them. Omega even included him in the strike forces sent out against the furions themselves, that they might see the bright purity of their passions mirrored in the darkly satisfied clarity of his. Nothing so trite happened as a miraculous battlefield conversion on seeing his own kind face to face. Omega had made his creature too well for that. They were just one more thing his wolf took an ebon joy in the challenge of destroying.

No, the problem came of that Omega /had/ done his work too well. Unlike many in his service, who wrapped themselves in spite, in vengeance, in personal agendas, in delusional worldviews, in secret ambitions, in past traumas, Omega's wolf was pure. He served, to serve. He killed, to kill. No hidden purpose behind it all, no inner rationalization to have lead him down his path. He embraced totally the teachings of his master in full awareness, his love of bloodshed coming from conflict being one of the only places where he could fully embody himself in them, for to have anything less than thought, instinct and tactic as one, would be to fall. He held his lord's truths as tightly as his lord sought to hold existence itself. If he had paid closer attention, he might have realized what the inevitable result would be of so doing. There is only one real truth to nihilism. That when the rush of the cruelties and barbarism have slipped away, when the thrill of indulgence is moved past, there is.. nothing. Absolutely nothing. You cannot have satisfaction in nothing, that would be something, and there is no room for it. The goal of emptiness, is emptiness. And whatever joys that might have been had until then become hollow things, tumbling endlessly into a void. It made so much sense now, the derangements of the others. Their spites and cruelties, traumas and ambitions. They were a shield against this understanding, this realization. They could keep whatever pleasure they took in nightmares. They did not see. They did not know. But he was enlightened now, and he could not go back.

And he wanted to go back so much. He threw himself with a fervour into everything he knew could not salve him anymore, feeling blood wash over him, but give him nothing. He traversed the entire dimension in impossible journeys, to its furthest, broken reaches, where reality folded in on itself, trying to find his old meaning, his old purity. There was a pointlessly epic scale to his desperation. But he had a new purity now, and it could not be denied.

He found himself in the end at the site of his birth, sinking down over the stretched out part of Nihilor's surface that was the god from which he was formed. The torment of his own thoughts reached out in sympathy to those of the agonized thoughts that had willed him into being. His emptiness served him well, for there was nothing inside him that they could consume, and like all things, they spiralled into the void, his consciousness rushing past them until he faced the core of his progenitor, his soul. And this the void would not consume, could not consume. He beheld a life so star bright that his eyes bled. In a flash of moments he lived the life of the god who made him. A towering figure who had sung suns themselves into being, nourished and defended the life that would rise up on the worlds around them. Who's song and sure hand were works of legend, woven into the life and wonder of a whole universe. There in full was the void's opposite. Pure creation, pure potential, pure hope. So fiery, fierce and powerful it had placed light, strong and blazing into the dark stretches of space. The Omega's wolf found himself feeling again, in the face of that life. Shame, for that he was the last soul shard of such greatness, and he was instead so dark and low a creature. And rage, deep and abiding, for his master having taken such a force away from the world, away from the people who without that hope, that creation, could only be destined for his own emptiness. He wept then, in awe, in shame, in sorrow, in fury. He cried out, begging for a chance to make things right, to be his maker's last hope.

The consciousness that the Omega had roused through torment, was drawn out now instead by an earnest plea for hope that the Alphian had not felt in eons. Turning what could be brought to bear of his shattered might onto the young warrior, he remade him as if the boy was one of the stars the Alphian had birthed, imbuing him with light and song, transforming his strengths from the atomic level on up. When the flare of some of the only real sunlight the Terminus dimension had seen in ages ended, the warrior was reborn. Calling himself the Starfury in a dedication of purpose, the young man took up waging the guerrilla war that was his race's purpose against the Omega. Wielding light, song, and force, passionate rage, and most dangerously, fierce hope, he was now instead an embodied proclamation that /anything/ could be turned from entropy. His joys were wild and pure again, but invigorating now, instead of degenerate. There was a satisfaction for him in conflict again, in knowing the rightness of it, of himself. His gratitude to existence itself for gracing him with this chance ran deep. The sorrows of his past, and of the Terminus itself could overtake him now again, and his brooding would then be driving and bleak, but inevitably he would shake it off, and return again to a nobler battle, to a valiant defence. It was however a war he waged largely alone. He could not quite bring himself to dwell among his kin and their shining world. His embarrassment still held too much to him.

It did allow for him to be nearby when the portals were opened on Nihilor for the Omega's latest invasion of Earth's dimension. To make his way through them and be among those fighting for their very survival, for the life of a world under one of the very stars his maker had brought into being. He fought as fiercely as any, and beheld the miracle of the Omega's defeat and withdrawal. That the price was dear did not change for him the sheer unheralded marvel of it. Here was a world, a people, champions, that might at last be rallied to face down the lord of the Terminus. They must be protected until they can rise in warlike spirit and as a blazing host make true that promise. He would do anything for them until that day can come. He /will/ do anything for them until that day can come. For their lives, for their souls.

Not that being a superhero of earth has been exactly a seamless transition. Starfury comes from a completely different dimension, one of stark war, where such life as can exist within it, must exist on a large and bombastic scale just to be vigorous enough to survive. He can be too larger than life, sometimes, in his passions. His sensibilities besides are that of a warrior, and they don't quite work all the time in terms of how the societies here govern their social contracts (which he finds aggravating now and then).

On the other hand, he's discovered rock and roll, as though it was specifically made for him, so perfectly has he taken to it with his own song. How can't he try his best for Earth? They invented the electric guitar.

Known Meta-Human Abilities: Starfury's body has been altered from its original state, though he still bears a great deal of the resilience and physical capacity of his race. He is known to have a developed control over light, able to generate wide flares of it for both illumination and blinding bursts, capable of focusing it into damaging blasts, channelling pulses of it into his hand to hand strikes to enhance them and land blows in a flurry. His flight speed has been clocked at 250 miles/hour. The extent of his durability shown so far has seen him shrugging off small arms fire, and his frequency of activity suggests an ability to go without sleep, food or air. His senses seem to be enhanced to some degree, able to see and hear farther than a normal human being, operating normally within total darkness.

Particularities, Limitations, and Weaknesses: While strong well beyond the norm by human standards, his transformation has removed much of the innate superstrength of his people.   

Equipment, Weapons and Paraphernalia:

Skills, Talents, Hobbies, and Abilities: Starfury retains a great deal of the capacity developed from his upbringing in Nihilor's gladiator pits, and his role as Omega's hunter and enforcer. He is still a skilled and insightful combatant and tracker, a canny, quick and acrobatic fighter and stalker, though he has had to spend some time acclimating those abilities to what is almost an entirely new body. His youth in Omega's court and training at the feet of his lieutenants, along with the legacy of his blood, and the soul and memory echoes of his Alphian progenitor have refined him in mind and body, giving him a breadth of basic knowledge and capacity across a variety of fields. That his soul blazes shows in his sheer force of personality, and in his captivating talent as a musician, even if it's all power chords and bombast. Aside from his music, his spiritual rebirth has let him revel in combat again, sparring or otherwise. His satisfaction in hunting is a much quieter thing, and personal, a time to flow through instinct and nature. He revels generally in a world that compared to the Terminus seems as a paradise, taking joy in the smallest of peaceful meals, to the most frenetically raging parties. He's something of a sensate in that respect, and when not superheroing, hunting or performing, he finds some celebration or another to involve himself in.

Physical Appearance: Fury is a looming presence overall, tall and muscled in athletic proportion, with a burning, golden eyed gaze that can seem to bear down with the force and heat of a supernova. Though kept above his shoulders, his deeply crimson hair is tousled and thick enough to frame his face. His features have a primal, perfected quality to them, light and life evident in the gleam of a wolfish grin, a sense of fire and vitality in his bearing. When he moves, it is with power and grace twinned together, enough of his old life still with him to give his motions the measured, loping stride of a hunter, though even when still there is a pronounced pent up energy to him, almost infectious vigor.
Distinguishing Characteristics: His eyes are a burnished gold, and his hair really is crimson.
Normal Attire: He tends to stay in costume a lot. When not so doing, he'll dress for comfort and ease of motion, generally jeans and a t shirt.
Costume Description: Starfury wears a red, high collared, side buttoning leather jacket and red trousers. The symbol over the chest of his jacket one of a golden, four pointed starburst with a gold circle cycling through the points. His costume overall is red chased with gold, with the buttons of his jacket, and his boots and gauntlets metallic in that colour. His jacket is similarly plated at the shoulders.
