Oh, hey, new applicants sign. Might as well toss up some of the sheet and get some spot calls on strange material, since I'm doing 3.5 classes and races and depending on how long things go it could be very important or not at all important.

Here's the basics as they stand:
Baradis

Race: Azurin
Class: Psi Warrior 1 (Dragonscale Hide ACF taken)

STR      13
DEX      9
CON      15
INT      10
WIS      14
CHA      11

Skills: (totals only)

Concentration - 6
Knowledge: Dungeoneering - .5
Autohypnosis - 4
Know: Psionics - 1

Powers: Precognition, Defensive

Feats:
Dragontouched
Azure Talent
Psicrystal Affinity (Nimble)

Gold: 1250

Now, looking forwards, here's the slightly sticky part. Looking ahead, I'd want to use Mind's Eye's conversion of the Soulcaster, the Soulmanifester, but that's a good bit distant the way I'm doing it. (Min of 6th, I'd probably want to delay till 7th for the Incarnate class feature at 3rd level.)

If it's not available, I'd probably go Psi-Warrior/Totemist and focus on getting approximately All the Claws.

Or perhaps just go full Incarnate and mess around with being the Law.

EDIT: Forgot to do the backstory. ... I'll do it tomorrow.

Stupid bad cable connection making a liar of me. Well, here it goes/comes.

Backstory, as related by Baradis: Once, not too long ago, a wizard found a hidden repository of heavy magic... whatever that is, and dragon bone, although for the longest time the wizard was unaware of what was at the bottom of his pond. Still, something about that pond drove the wiz to experiment. At first just with making things, but that didn't hold for long. Soon after, the wizard began experimenting on putting that pond's magic into people. The first few were, to be frank, probably extremely bad and made worse by not knowing about the dragon bones I assume.

But around twenty? Yeah, let's say twenty years ago, the process had been refined enough that monsters weren't being born. Just humans with sometimes strangely blue eyes, and occasionally a hint of dragon in them. Which is kinda how I figured out there was something special about me beyond the whites of my eyes being the blues. My probably real father's combat training plus hints of dragon blood equals scaled hide, who knew?

Well, it certainly helped save my hide a few times, and also my wallet since it's almost as good as a shell of well made steel.

Description: Tall, broad about the shoulders, and almost strong probably best describe the person under the scaled-hide. But most often, the scales are fully grown in, in which case Baradis's shape becomes rather less distinct. The broadness seems to be more about the body as a whole than at the shoulders, and it's hard to judge whether the person's got the muscle to armwrestle an ork or not. (The answer's still not, but the comparison still works.) Indeed, with the protective shell covering Baradis, only the most intimate of judges could hazard more than a guess as to the gender of the person beneath the blue scales.

I just gotta decide what race i wanna use, and which image for that race, but I have a barbarian cooking up. Every team needs someone who can take a fireball to the face.

I think a barbarian would be a very welcome addition to what we have so far!
If you're such an iconoclast, where were you when we trashed Constantinople?

Is this getting close to filling up?  There seems to be a lot of interest and I don't want to step on someone's toes who posted here first.
Coming soon...

Name: Taran Wulftarn
Race: Human (Reghedmen)
Class: Unchained Barbarian 1 (Archetype?)
Sheet: https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=1438360

Background:    Taran hails from the Tribe of the Wolf among the Reghedmen of the far north. There was nothing particularly special about his birth. He was the third child and second son of Olv Issverd's second wife, Marka; two more daughters would follow, a large family for the Reghedmen near the glacier. They lived as their ancestors, hunting in the summer, ice fishing for the grayling in the winter, and trading ivory south to Ten-Towns every so often.
Growing up, battle was not unknown to Taran; besides his older brother and his friends constantly roughhousing to "toughen him up," there were frequent raids from goblins on the tundra, among worse foes. The first battle, Taran felt fear burn in his heart, and that fear led to a friend of his dying when the goblin - a clean shot for Taran - stuck a spear in poor Ulli's belly. Filled with shame, Taran sought advice from the tribe's shaman and older warriors. From them he learned practical strategies, and of Tempos, specifically the wolf cult of the war-cod his own tribe held in esteem.
Some years later, when Taran was entering his seventeenth winter, a stranger fell into the camp; literally, a young female elf crashed through the packed snow roofing the winter lodge, wounded too badly to describe. She babbled in her elvish tongue, and before she died, she passed something into the nearest hand; Taran's. It was a leather tube that held parchments so ancient that the edges crumbled to the touch.
That night, the shamans howled for the dead elf, a stranger to their camp that they could not help, and comissioned her to the snows, to be covered in stones when the snows ceased. But Queldu-kellaith, the eldest of the shaman, poked a bony finger into Taran's chest, and proclaimed him Chosen. He had been chosen by hte spirits, and the ghost of this dying elf, to fulfill some mission. He could not rest until he did so.
At next light, the young man left the lodgehouse, and began the trek south. Surely someone knows what the elf's words meant, or could find the owner of these scrolls! He no longer felt fear; The tattoos on his back, given to him all through the night, imbued him with the spirit's blessing and made him a Raseri, a spirit warrior!

Description:    Taran is an unusual sight in the southlands; Tall, strong-armed, and with a confident gait of a man who has never knelt before a southern king. He wears his long silver-blonde hair loose, the wavy locks falling over his neck and shoulders, sometimes set with feathers or charms. Despite his height and thew, his cheeks and chin are smooth, which with his curious blue eyes, give him a boyish look. His garb outside of battle is simple enough, favoring little more than a caribou-hide kilt and boots in warm weather, showing off his firm muscles and smooth chest, and in winter, comfortable furs and leggings to keep the cold out but not restrict movement too much. On his adventures he wears a jerkin of oiled leather set with steel rivets and a kilt of metal-ringed leather flaps, of clear southern make. The greatsword he carries is of clear dwarven make as well, austere but beautiful in its well-crafted lines.

Persona    Taran is not used to southern customs and beliefs, and does not think he ever will be. Despite that, he's very curious about them; he is after all, a visitor in their camps, and it's only polite to try to do things their way - except of course when it would angler his own ancestors. He has all the curiosity and exuberance and... stamina of a strong young man, and sees himself as a proud warrior of a proud warrior people; other Reghedmen might roll their eyes about that back home, but here in the south, it's true enough! despite his ability to rage, he is not surly or angry (at least, eh doesn't think so); rather, the Rage is a blessing of his god Tempos to aid him in battle. At every civilized stop, he asks locals who seem they might know, what the meaning of a particular phrase is. The trouble is, the phrase is in an archaic elvish dialect, and Taran doesn't even have the slightest grasp on modern elvish, and keeps mangling the phrase. Oh well!

Sexuality: Taran is a lusty young man with a very healthy interest in the opposite sex - And maybe sometimes a little curiosity about his own, and the spectrum between. The prevailing wisdom among his tribe's men is that a woman shouldn't have to ask you twice. In terms of race, well, let's just put it this way; back home, the goblins are sworn enemies, but here in the southlands, he doesn't know these goblins. Might be worth a try... that is, he sees no reason to be picky over willing partners based on the shape of their ears or snouts or what-have you.

My DnD 3.5 Conjurer is coming along just need to get her spells and gear selected. And find a nice pic.

Vannalys Nelethiel

Vannalys had always lived in the wild regions of Ustalav, due to her connection with nature she never had the need to venture into settlements though she still did to satiate her darkest desires. The buxom elf witch had always had a craving of using and abusing humans, males or females. She really enjoyed dominating and even humiliating them in lavish ways mattering little if they initially cooperated or not as they would end doing so thanks to her magic. Latelly though she began craving for more thinking of letting her own desires for bondage grow into what would be a craving for a sex dungeon, she didn't know of any place that would suit this recent taste she had so she thought of looking for a real dungeon she could use for this after cleaning it up of any possible dangers of course. It wouldn't be hard to find other adventurers that like her would be looking for a dungeon to explore, although most probably they would be looking for treasure unlike her but that was a good thing, she could trick them and probably use some of them to satiate her own lust.

Good to see people still being interested in the game.  I anticipate starting this game sometime next month.  I will be closing the game to anymore applicants since we have plenty of interested parties.  Those of you who posted your interests, including those who haven't submitted your character concept still have an opportunity to get in.  I may have to pick out which are the most compatible with the rest of the group.

I've also been looking over other games that ran on this site for inspiration.  I think I'm going to need to modify my original idea a bit so the beginning is probably going to be rough-around-the-edges.

Well, Neeral has been spending her time as either a dungeon delver for hire, or a trapsmith for protecting rich people's houses. I'm very happy for her to have worked with any of the other PCs I've seen so far. She'd certainly be happy to have gone adventuring with a strong warrior like Kiva or Taran. Chulanowa, has Taran been in the area long enough to have taken on any mercenary or adventurer work like that?

Also, for Re Z L: obviously gnomes and kobolds are normally mortal enemies, but that doesn't need to be the case here. Maybe they've been hired for the same expedition in the past, or collaborated on an alchemical project, and thus developed some level of mutual respect?

With the amount of applicants, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in backing me up in running the game.  I'm not looking for somebody to have any more responsibility in running the game than you're comfortable with, nor will I turn away anybody that wants to run the game as an equal GM.  I figure this way, the game can run more smoothly and possibly hand more characters.

Oh yeah. Dude's gotta eat, and there's always work for a man with a sword and an overwhelming, even possibly deserved sense of his own ability with it.

Also I like the idea of Neeral riding on his shoulders like Master-Blaster from "Thunderdome"

Kobold from Above!? Should one of us be looking at Throw Anything? >.>

While I'm not entirely certain Kiva is going to expect a heckuvalot from most humans - she's got her teeth kicked in a time or three - a human wandering about with a kobold is certainly going to have an easier time convincing her he's serious about not minding /her/ company. ^^;

Great! It sounds like they'll get along pretty well.

Wandering Soul, I'm more than happy to help with things like rules and combat, and generally helping things run smoothly. I would advise against trying to take on too many players, even with any amount of assistance, though. More GMs doesn't make it easier to handle more players, nor does it reduce the amount by which extra players slow down the game overall. Personally, I am for six as an ideal number of players, since one or two will usually drop out before the game really gets going.

Since I mentioned Vannalys was sexually interested mostly in humans so Taran and Baradis (who is close to being a human) would be her first interests. Not that she would ignore other races at all, Tamari and Neeral being small would be great targets for her too, and Kiva, depending on her tastes/goals I think they could easily became friends.

That is true.  Thank you for the help.  I appreciate the help.

So far, we have:
Baradis
Kiva
Neeral
Taran
Vannalys

We'll be able to accept one more character at the most.  I've been looking over some other games that ran or currently running and loosening some of my preferences involving NC material.

I'll start an OOC thread.  Let's have each person initially post their character biography, sexual preference, and eventual character sheet.  That way, we'll have the first page of the OOC thread contain the characters for easy reference that we can update as needed.  Once we get everybody's initial post, we can continue discussion.

Still piecing things together:  https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=279668.msg13778556#msg13778556

Character sheet is basically done, just need to buy gear, and also finish up the background/history.

@Kathyan  How could a little Gnome say no to a lovely Elvish Witch?  ;D

@Hopefox  I'm painting her as more of a happy-go-lucky sort, and swapped out the racial trait vs. kobolds/goblins for something else as well.  So she wouldn't really have any trouble getting along with a Kobold as long as the Kobold didn't try to eat her  ;D  It's even possible that after Neeral's escape she found her and helped heal her to get her back on her feet?

Tamari is welcomed to join us.  Please post your character's information in the OOC thread: https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=280528.0

Slots are filled.  Thanks to everybody who extended their interests.  Sorry we couldn't accommodate everyone.
