The supernatural have been around since the dawn of time. Though they mostly stayed to themselves, not drawing attention to the human world as best as they could. The Wereanimals protected the wilderness, maintained the balance in nature. They were in harmony until humanity started to flourish and the wereanimals felt the need to counter the human encroachment, etching themselves into the racial memory as monsters. The packs became more insular, withdrawing ever further from human society as the years passed. Eventually, this custom of seclusion became the seeds of their own destruction. Less and less pups were born to the packs and even then, only males. Females were stillborn. Sterility among the recent generation of males has been rising since the nineteen hundreds.

The packs banded together even closer to face this threat, turning their minds to figuring out this crisis. This lead them to one conclusion, they needed to bring in fresh genetic material in the means of women who were not genetically connected to the werewolves, but could actually mate with them to bring forth viable wolves to begin repopulating their world again. It was true that they could bite to reproduce, however the bite tended to make the resulting wolf more wold and bloodthirsty than they liked and that didn't bode well for trying to keep themselves hidden when it came to the human population. So this meant they needed breeding partners, rather than biting someone. The question was how? A College that had been set up for the Wereanimals to be educated, but could it be opened to other beings as well. Many of them didn't want to let humans into the fold, for when humans entered, they were no longer safe from their persecution. But other wolves argued that not all humans were the same, specific bloodlines had abilities.... access to true magics that had evoked fear and awe among their untalented kin... and fueled inquisitions and witch hunts. Today, those bloodlines are few and scattered. They too needed some way to preserve their legacy and preserve their numbers. The College could be used for more than just the benefit of the wereanimals.

The council in the end agreed, to save the werewolf community they would allow in the gifted human bloodlines. Now the question was how to keep them from giving up the secrets they would find here? Well that was addressed by the council by giving the girls incentives to keep their mouths shut. If they had a dying family member, or just someone in great medical need, they would offer to them to pay for their family members care for the rest of their lives. If they were raised in an impoverished household, their family would be given enough money to live comfortably for the rest fo their lives. And so on, there would be varying reasons that they would work with, each girl's reason for coming would be unique. And so the call went out, for girls with varying abilities to apply for a scholarship to a unique, once in a life time college that would give them the greatest education one could hope to ever have. All they had to do was live with the "catch".

I want to say that while this is a lot about the werewolves, we will be allowing in were-animals of all kinds and humans, male or female with psychic or magical abilities, I know it doesn't state that above, but that is our plan. We do intend to make this fun for all.

Wereanimal 101

Were-Animal mating:

The mating mark will appear on the human woman or male when they first have sex with the male or female were-animal, this is ONLY if they are destined mates. Please discuss with your partner before you have sexual contact. IF you wish them to be your mate because once the mating mark is in place, it can not be reversed and is only dissipated when one or both mates die. Make sure to include the GM's in the discussion so we know they have agreed to the mating.

A female or male can be mated to a second mate if their original mate has died and they have sex with that second mate. However, again you must talk with the partner to be sure they are welcoming of the mating, make sure to include the GM's in the discussion so we know they have agreed to the mating.

The mating mark itself is a tattoo like scar that appears on the inner right thigh of the mated and does not go away unless death occurs of one of the mated.

Ageing:

Wereanimals age once every 10 and the maximum they can live is 800 years old. Their mated partners, once they have the mating mark will age just as their were-animal partner does. The aging is normal until they reach the age of 18 when they begin the slowing process.

Their partners once they are mated are given the same lifespan so they will begin to age slowly as well. However, they can still be affected by human ailments if human.

Literally yes.... Honestly we are looking for magical users, wereanimals, and psychics. So by all means.

Question:  Do the werewolves change willingly, or only under the full moon?  Or are they always in werewolf form?

They can change whenever they want except on full moons, they have a forced transformation that day. Some days they also are stronger than others, like full moon days, they are stronger than if it's the day after a full moon change. I plan on writing this up in detail.
