power exchange in a marriage (F/m or M/m)

Lately, I have wanted to revive an old plot of mine. I started it once before but it didn't get far. I'd like to play a new, alternative version. In the summary below I have used F/m for the characters but any other combination might work. Due to some bad experiences in the past, I tend to avoid F/f pairings, but if I receive a really good pitch, I may reconsider. 


The Story

MC would have been an unremarkable woman, but for the fact that she is rich. Sweet, quiet and a klutz at sports, she is the most unlikely candidate for YC to fall in love with. YC is the popular sort, excelling at sports and a hit with the ladies. But he likes this sweet, unassuming girl and her money is a sweet bonus. MC falls head over heels in love with him, and so they marry.

Despite her wealth, she is the homey type. Likes to do her own cooking, and make a home for her beloved husband. He enjoys the freedom of his newfound riches, but although he does love his wife, he had expected a bit more of their marriage. Not that it is stale... Not exactly, when you can fly to Aspen, Paris or Cairo at a whim, but she is so -dare he say it- boring. She doesn't like the parties he loves to go to. Fancy restaurants are nothing new to her. For him, this new lifestyle is a thrilling new world, but she just wants to stay home and enjoy his company.

Disappointment grows and his eye starts to rove to other women. MC notices and knows it is only a matter of time before her faithful man will cheat on her.

Never!

The young woman grows some fangs, and changes start to happen. Little things at first: a bit of advice here and there, a subtle reminder that she might cut off the money flow, a few minor changes in the bedroom. It doesn't stop there. Gradually, MC takes control and -loves- it. Even the boring old parties shine in a new light when she can show off her man.  YC may grumble and pretend to be uneasy with her new demeanour, but secretly, her changing into a controlling woman touches a long hidden spot inside, and it may be just the thing that saves their marriage.
