"Just wake me up when..." she started saying, but as soon as she closed her eyes she was asleep, curled up against the seat like a cat.

A few hours later the car stops by a hut in a woods all around is the woods a male scream can be heard " Gerri you came to see me and whose these to visions of beauty you have brought with you" Gerri gets out the car "mark have you upped your tractor beam ?" The lady in front is my partner " she winked "Katya. And the girl in the back is a good friend of ours Nicole" she walked in the hut yawning " night she called out"

The next morning Katya was sat outside, looking pensive, as Nicole walked over.

"Are you okay Kat?" she asked, sitting down opposite her.

"Just thinking," Katya replied. "I don't like being here when the others are in danger, especially when we can't contact them to make sure they're alright."

Gerri walked out " ladies Eric will join us but he wants me to be sidelined." She sat with Katya " he asked me to give you this she hands her a present inside is a coms device for the team " I said I would discuss it with you guys and I never told him about my condition"

"I'm not sure I trust him enough to be with him without you there too," Katya replied, looking slightly distant.

"Do we know if there's any news from the G20?" Nicole asked. "I haven't even tried to check the news since we left."

" I think katya's gift might help with that " came a male voice " and I don't blame you for not trusting me I wouldn't but we both have one thing in common at least "

[Lady Jenn]

"Which is?" Nicole asked, sensing Katya wasn't at ease. "We could do with every bit of good news we can get right about now."

" we all love Gerri " he looked at them " or else you wouldn't be here bidding your powers right?"

[Lady Jenn]

"Well, Katya more than me," Nicole said, laughing. "Until recently "I only knew her by reputation, I can't say her and my dad had much interaction before that."

"well Nicole I can sense love in you if it's not for gerri then whom?" He blushed " oh I am so embarrassed" he looked at Katya " you are an emigma aren't you"

[Lady Jenn]

"Not Katya, I..." Nicole looked away, trying to hide a tear. "None of you have met him, maybe if we all make it out of here I'll finally tell him how I actually feel, he doesn't realise I still wear the birthday present he gave me at university around my neck." She let out a laugh. "My dad has never bothered asking me where I got it from."

" so we all have loved ones we want no need to protect so why are we sitting here talking about trust and whether my sister is well enough to go with and not flying to the G20 and butt kicking ?"

Nicole looked across the fire at Katya, not needing telepathy to tell what was happening. "We need a few moments, Katya's not ready, and we've got no idea what we're about to rush into."

"Sure thing I'll be in the hut "  Gerri looked at them both " he is so arrogent I am so sorry " she kissed Katya looking at the gift " what's in the box darling ?" She turned to nicola " I think he thought you like him sorry "

[Lady Jenn]

"If I can handle a vampire sharing a body with me I think I can handle an unrequited crush," Nicole said, laughing.

"I'm...I'm not sure," Katya said, opening the box to find a necklace inside. "It's pretty but...I'm not sure what use it'd be."

"I think it's a communication device," Katya said, after studying it more closely. "Which of us wants to check up on the boys then?"

" your present so knowing Mick it will be locked to your DNA"

[Lady Jenn]

"Who do we want to contact?" Katya asked. "I can think of at least two people we COULD try contacting, I don't know which is the better option though."

[Lawshenk]

" Yuri?" Gerri surrguested and yawned as she thought things over "

[Lady Jenn]

"Yuri, are you guys okay?" Katya asked, feeling relieved that it at least sounded quiet on the other end.

"Yeah," Yuri replied. "Apparently Carreyra isn't a complete fool, he seems worried about causing a scene in front of the world leaders. I can't tell if they believed what he said though."

Getting smiled " ask what did he say?"

[Lady Jenn]

"That the Corps has been corrupted from within," Yuri replied. "That Geri and I plotted to kill Sky, and that he is 'saving' other heroes from us. Geri, his clones are here, he's claiming they can take down us and any of their allies, he just needs the world leaders' permission."

" well he is on to my plan" she laughed " so what happens now"
