Lady Jenn

"You shouldn't go," he replied. "This is your house, there's no way I'm kicking you out of it, I wouldn't be much of an uncle if I did, would I?"

Lawshenk

" I am just scared alot of things happening "

Lady Jenn

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked. "You know I'm at least a good listener, even if my advice isn't always the best."

Lawshenk

" I thought this place would be empty now I'm in a bloody comic book adventure I came here for peace not this

Lady Jenn

"Don't worry, I'll tell the other two we need to go as soon as..." he stopped as he heard the front door slammed, only to see Lucas come in shortly after.

"What just happened?" he asked, looking between the two. "I've just passed Marla, she looks distraught."

"Fuck," Isaac said, getting up. "Lucas, which direction was she heading in?"

"She was heading away from the house," he replied. "That's all I saw."

"I have to go after her," he said, heading towards the door. "The side-effect of her powers...her immune system isn't great, being up a mountain this cold, alone, is not a smart idea."

Lawshenk

Lady Jenn

"Of course you can," Isaac said, heading to the door, but Lucas stopped Jenn for a moment.

"The other Jenn is fine," he said. "She wasn't kidnapped, she caused the transporter to take off by accident, we managed to help her land safely and she's being checked over."

Lawshenk

Lady Jenn

"Yeah...it turns out our transports need better security," he said, letting out an embarrassed laugh. "Like I said though, she's a little shaken but otherwise she's unharmed."

Lawshenk

" God sake some system you guys have"

Lady Jenn

"We can have this argument later," Lucas said as calmly as he could. "Isaac's right, you need to make sure Marla is okay, she's...not as strong as she wants people to think she is."

Lawshenk

Lady Jenn

Isaac was already outside, looking deeply concerned. "Marla, where are you?" he called out, trying to see any hint of tracks. "Give me some clue as to where you are, we're not angry I promise."

Lawshenk

" I'm here if you need female company"

Lady Jenn

"Marla?" he called out, before swearing as he caught sight of something in the snow. "There's a blood trail...It's heading over there," he said, pointing over a low ridge."

Lawshenk

Jenni was along the trail as he finished steaking

Lady Jenn

Just as he was beginning to get frustrated he saw her. She was lying face down in the snow, unmoving, her eyes firmly shut, but although he couldn't tell from that distance she was breathing. "Jenn, I'm going to go get Lucas, stay with her till we get back."

Lawshenk

She sat next to her, " hunny please be ok!"

Lady Jenn

She tried to move, wincing. "I'm...my body is in pain...healing the magic drained me." Although she attempted to turn over the pain was too extreme, enabling her only to turn her head enough to look at Jenn, revealing a tear-stained face.

Lawshenk

She holds her. " Why do it then?"

Lady Jenn

"Because I can't watch people suffer," she said, her breathing shallow. "I'd have done the same for you without a moment's thought."

Lawshenk

" thanks but I can't see loved ones like this"

Lady Jenn

"But...I'm nothing but an inconvenience to you," she said. "I heard what you said back there, I shouldn't have come here."

Lawshenk

" no no noI want you there, maybe not the guys though I have to say I'm sorry you felt I meant you"

Lady Jenn

"You don't need to apologise," she said, trying to smile as Isaac returned, Lucas close behind her with a stretcher under one arm. "I'm sorry guys, I shouldn't-"

"I'm not mad," Lucas said, kneeling down next to Jenn. "Jenn, can you help me get her on the stretcher?"
