"Put it on auto pilot," he said weakly, closing his eyes. "I don't know if I have the strength to heal myself, but if you do that it'll get us there by itself."

"I need you to do something," he said, trying to focus on her. "I need you to take the blade out of my shoulder, there might be blood but...you need to stay focused."

" like this?" She grabbed it and gently pulled but a gently pull from her in this form would not be gentle to him "sorry " she said looking away

"Ah," he said, blood already coming from the wound. "There's...there's a first aid kit next to the cockpit door," he said, feeling light-headed suddenly. "There should be bandages in it."

She grabs the kit and wraps his arm in the badge tightly she looked at him her green eyes flickering in the light " please don't leave me" she kissed him, it was like any first kiss but something felt right this time

He kissed her back, trying to use it to help himself focus. "I...I can heal this, you'll need to place my hand on the shoulder and hold it there," he said. "If I'm weak like this it'll take me longer than normal."

She does as he asked as gently as she can then holds his hand there " how's this is it working "

"I..." he felt himself slowly losing consciousness. "Keep talking to me," he said. "My powers can't work if I black out, I..." He took a deep breath. "I'm...I'm scared."

" I'm here " she smiled at him " where are we flying to?"

"I couldn't risk taking us back to the others in case we were compromised," he replied. "There's...your mot...Jennifer's mother had a safe house she used to go back to, it's in the Rocky Mountains so it's pretty out of the way."

" the Rocky's sweet, " she smiled and looked at him " so how do I look?" She looked at him

"As weird as it sounds," he said, letting out a light laugh, "...you looked a lot more attractive in green than I remember you being. It's a good thing I wasn't being distracted mid-fight."

" I'd have to see you fighting not distracted," she a joked "I feel incredible you think I can another way?"

"What do you mean?" he asked, feeling his powers beginning to make a difference. "Do you mean is there another way you can transform?"

" no don't think so but my bloodight give you strength"

"Oh..." he said, looking away and sighing. "Well...if you don't want it to then I suppose not." He tried sitting up, wincing slightly. "At least my powers are working...slowly.

"Believe me I hope not," he said, laughing. "I've had enough near death experience to last my the rest of my life, remind me not to get stabbed in the shoulder again."
