Lydia seemed dumbstruck for a moment, having to think. "Then she needs to know that, because she would go to the ends of the earth for you," Lydia said. "If it's not mutual she has a right to know."

Geri collasped in front of her " we are already married so I can I tell her" she sighed " I love her like a sister"

"So why marry her?" Lydia asked, helping Geri over to a nearby bench. "She thinks you wan-" She stopped as she felt her phone buzz, seeing Nicole's name on the screen. "Nikki, what-" She stopped speaking, the colour draining from her face. "Geri, we need to get back there, Katya...something's wrong, Nikki had to bring her back after she collapsed while they were out."

" shit" she smiled more in common than we thought " she smiled and her suit appeared as the beggar from earlier passed them by " supers are evil " she protested Gerri picked up Lydia before blasting off"

A visibly upset Anna was sat on the front step of the house, Ilya sat trying to comfort her as the two landed. "She's in there with Nitro and Isaac," she said. "Anna saw her when Nikki got back here, she..." Ilya paused, gulping. "We're all worried.

Inside a tearful Nicole was sat to one side, leaning against Lydia as she came over to see her, while an unconscious Katya was laid on the bed, immobile but for her chest rising and falling with each breath.

"Geri," Isaac said. "We might have to operate, we're worried there's an injury your brother and I didn't pick up on. It appears her funny turn might not have been lack of food after all."

Geri got next to her keanling down and holding her hand " I need you, I love you" she kissed her " do what ever it takes please "

"It's gonna be easier if we have as few people in here as possible," Isaac said, Lydia nodding as she helped Nicole out of the house. "You can stay if you want though Geri, I'll leave that up to you."

" I don't think I can" she got up " I can't see her like this"

[Lady Jenn]

"Go speak to Nicole," Mark said, putting his hand on her shoulder. "I think she thinks this is her fault, when it she hadn't reacted so quickly and calmly Kat might be in a worse state than she is right now."

She steeped outside and sat with Nicole and Lydia " Nicole you know this would have happened what ever your not to blame"

She was resting her head on Lydia's shoulder, who was rubbing her shoulder comfortingly. "I just..." she stopped, sniffing. "She asked me for a coffee, I wasn't even gone five minutes, and when I came back..."

"Shhh, Nikki, she's right," Lydia said, kissing the top of your head. "You knew what to do when you realized something was wrong, I'm not sure I'd have been so calm if it was me there rather than you."

Gerri looked at Lydia " I was wrong " she held Nicole in her arms " I am here to talk babe just don't blame yourself"

[Lady Jenn]

"It felt like my mum all over again," she sobbed, burying herself against Geri. "Which is crazy, but..." She wiped a tear away. "I just wish I could do something."

"Maybe we should take her mind off it," Lydia mouthed to Geri, unsure how to help her at that moment but wishing she could.

" gonna see what I brought" she smiled " or well that beautiful necklace could we have another 2 made "

[Lady Jenn]

"I..." she started saying, before smiling when she realised what Geri meant. "I mean, I'd need to stock up on a few supplies, but just tell me what you need and I could make them easily enough. What were you thinking of?"

" g and k in a heart " she smiled " and I would only let you if I can pay"

[Lady Jenn]

"How about a compromise," Lydia said, seeing Nicole about to protest. "What if Geri buys you the supplies you need? If she's okay with that I mean."

" yes that is fine " Gerri smiled " if Nicole is ok with that "

[Lady Jenn]

"That'd be great," she said, smiling broadly. "They're a bit specialist, but I can give you the name of the one shop you can buy them in without being charged well over the odds. The lady who runs it is an old school friend of mine, I wouldn't trust anyone else for my supplies."

" it's your choice do you mind sketching some designs "

[Lady Jenn]

"I can do that now," Nicole said. "Bear with me and I'll go grab my sketchbook."

"I owe you one," Lydia said as Nicole vanished round the corner of the house. At that moment Isaac appeared from the house, looking tired. "Isaac, what's the news?"

"Mark's closing her up," Isaac said, walking over and sitting down. "She's not woken up, but...she's stable. And very lucky, a chunk of shrapnel had caught her lung, the broken rib was so painful we hadn't even thought to check. Luckily the damage was minor enough we could heal it easily, but...Mark's had to put her on a blood transfusion, it looks like the wound split again, that's why she collapsed." He looked up as Nicole returned. "I think Katya might owe you her life, we operated so quickly the blood loss was nowhere near as severe as it might have been otherwise."

" and her leg?" She asked as she was out did you repair that" asked gerri

[Lady Jenn]

"She...she is not going to be happy," Isaac said, sighing. "Me and your brother agreed that we should do it while she was out for the count, but...I kinda feel like she might be pissed we didn't give her a choice in the matter."

" her dream was to walk down the isle , tell her I said to do it "

[Lady Jenn]

"I suppose as long as we give her painkillers it won't be so bad," Isaac said. "Unfortunately my powers can't lessen pain, it'd be much easier If I could."
