I want to rewrite Twilight (and make it better)

Hello and welcome!

I am opening this second request thread of mine because I have a very specific thought / craving for a rp. Or two.
i to take the plot of Twilight and make the story our own, make it better. No sparkling vampires for instance! No actors that stuck their head into a pot of white paint.
I could go on.

The basic plot idea is a good one, the books are good in my opinion, so I want to take just the plot and let us be inspired by it.
A vampire coming back into a town he lived in, maybe with his 'family' or maybe he is a vampire living in solitude. A young woman moving to the secluded town to start a new live, maybe live with her parents again or maybe she got a chance at a job there. I would like to place this outside of high school, but that we could discuss.

What if this time, the girl doesn't choose to pursue the feelings for the vampire? In our story she could choose her love for the werewolf she is friends with for ages now but never knew his secret.
If that happens, do the vampires just accept this? If she chooses the vampire, will the werewolves just accept it?

Those are a few possibilities I would like to explore with you.
