Snake

Just wondering the logic there is all and devils' advocate. I'm working out a character ideal now that i'm reading things.

Can someone have 0 Lust? ;3

Hobbes1266

At character creation the lowest you can have any stat is 0 and the highest is 20, but I don't expect there to be any with those stats, but it is possible. The lowest your lust can get is -10, where you are completely incapable of sex (with some exceptions, and even those exceptions wouldn't arouse you at all.)

Hobbes1266

To decrease lust you have to spend points, you do not gain points for decreasing lust, you lose them.

Snake

Well shit. XD Here I as considering a char with -5 Lust and super high survival stats XD but I'll keep working on it. I prefer to play balanced out characters for the most part actually.

Hobbes1266

Nope! I tried my best to make sure that was clear but I guess I wasn't quite clear enough. Nice try at trying to find a loophole though.

AmandaWho

I'm interested in this. Are you still floating this as an idea, or are you accepting character concepts?

Hobbes1266

Character concepts are appreciated, this thread is focused on seeing if there is interest but at this point it seems promising.

AmandaWho

Ok cool :) I'll keep on eye on this thread. I'll very likely be ready to pitch in a character when you give the green light.

Lazzat

If that's the case I'll get thinking. Since fantasy is allowed maybe I'll go with an elf or something. Or maybe someone from the Victorian era. Hmm...

Snake

Can we have someone from the extreme future? Like a full blown android?

Hobbes1266

Elves would be perfectly acceptable, and so would a Victorian character.

Extreme future? Yes. Android? I would need more information. Would this android have the same needs as a human? Would they have abilities a human wouldn't be capable of?

Snake

They would, but they can slow their processes down to make their supplies last longer; but they still need all the same things. But their artificial bodies lack a bodily odor since they have entirely artificial bodies. They also tend to be unemotional or not understand some things. They can, however use their body's nanites to restore themselves as an innate healing function (ike all humans have of course.) they can even hyper accelerate it to heal wounds like wolverine but that burns alot of energy and they fall back to actually need more caloric intake or fall into a state where they can't operate and are basically in a "coma" as their brains shut off everything not necessary for life to let the nanites recharge.

Sort of like the androids fron the Pathfinder (official book) People of the Stars.

Hobbes1266

In that case very, very no. No slowing down processes to make supplies last longer, no excelerated regen at the cost of resources, no lack of body oder, soft no to unemotional.

Snake

Ah forget it then. The concept of being literally unable to defend yourself unless you break off a stick and sharpen the point; isn't as appealing, sorry for bothering ya wit these stupid questions. It's almost 3 am here and I'm not thinking 100% straight.

Hobbes1266

Sorry, the naked and alone aspect is very important, though both can theoretically be remedied.

Snake

XD yeah it shouts "Hey I'm a victim, come and violate me somehow!" Given the mental state of most people thrust into that situation: sheer panic and the urge to rush off to find a way off the accursed island even if they have to swim. :p

Though playing as somoene that may already know what to do could be interesting.

GentleBlueberry

I'll join the group, if there is room for me. Wanted to take part in a roleplay like this for awhile now, and the light system seems like it'll provide a good entry. If you need any...uh...suggestions for creature types, I've got an On's and Off's page full of them.

By the way, is reproduction the only motive the creatures have for hunting us? You don't have to answer if it's a secret, but I've always been a fan of the monster erotica cliche where the monsters use humans for food by capturing and stimulating them to milk them for cum, and maybe breast milk if the victim is female.

I wanted naked and afraid more for the sake of progression, but I suppose I understand what you mean.

Thank you for your interest, unfortunately I must keep my secrets.

Snake

I'd make a guess that's the primary reason or at least one of them. :p

Perhaps everyone has a few basic items? and at elast one basic weapon/tool like a knife or handaxe (cuz honestly, survival purely from nature is EXTREMELY HARD even for people who know what they're doing.

I mean stuff like the knife or axe, a 50' ball of string or twine, some kind of canteen or method to purify water? (if not, realistically you'd see alot of the chars becoming really sick with parasites or other nasty waterborne crap.)

Hobbes1266

Yes, surviving with nothing would be extremely hard, and I will say nothing more on the subject to avoid revealing secrets.

Zaer Darkwail

I know some secrets but I cannot reveal either, but this game premise is 'take or leave it' in regards details; naked and alone is default where everyone starts in. What you become or get is up to you. There could be potential 'negotiate' with monsters perhaps ;).
