It's still a mystery why it's happening, nobody has even the slightest clue as to why. But we got a a pretty good idea of When it started at least. It's some sort of response to the Industrial Revolution according to the Math, projections put the start somewhere around 1850.

At first it was subtle. In 1884 a record's keeper in a hospital in Berlin noticed that more female children had been born than male children for the previous 14 years in a row. Not a lot more, the ratio was so small that it took careful going over of the paperwork to even notice, but it was consistant. He wrote a medical paper about it and spread around, and records keepers in other hospitals noticed something similar. It wasn't a dramatic ratio, but it really does look like that by 1884 more girls then boys had been born for over a decade.

Over time, the ratio was only getting more and more lopsided. By the end of World War 1, Doughboys were coming home to their wives and having 2 girls for every boy. By the end of World War 2, it was over 3 to 1. Nations started to panic, laws started being written, society starting adapting.

Welcome to 2017, and by now Women outnumber Men by about 10 to 1...

Looking for a female partner or partners to help build a world and tell a story, the basic premise being that for a completely unknown reason women now outnumber men by a wide margin and have for a while. This story will most likely have high smut content but will do some serious explorations of the concept.

Possible Examples -
- The Women's Suffrage still happened, but with twists. Women on paper got the right to vote a few years sooner, but at first it only extended to women who had given birth to sons. The sons requirement didn't last long, but it was at least on paper until WW2 broke out.
- In most developed nations, Adultry was completely decriminalized by the 1950's with Marriage as a legal institution completely dissolved by the 1970's. These moves have always generated a lot of resistance from religious communities.
- The first female Premier of the USSR took power after Stalin, and female President of the United States took office after the Kennedy Assissination. While men are not barred from running for President and can still put in a respectable showing, the Presidents have all been women since 1992.
- Recent scientific analysis has finally unlocked a major clue in the mystery as the evidence now suggests that males are being conceived, but are being miscarried so quickly that the mothers usually don't even suspect that they're pregnant yet. Still no idea why this is happening, even if it's a genetic factor or an environmental one. Most people hope it's a genetics issue, because that would mean that a woman being able to carry a male child to term has somehow become as rare as a woman's chances of having Red Hair, but at least it'll stabilize. If it's an environmental factor then there may be nothing stopping it from continuing until no male children are ever born.
