i've always had a thing for Groves from POTC. so I imagine the following.
He's on the hunt for Sparrow and his journey leads him to a tiny island where a small village is. Sparrow is respected among them and the daughter of the village chief is in charge of making sure Groves is comfortable. Well she's also a witch of sorts who falls for Groves and wants him to forget all about his life and remain with her forever and so she uses a concoction to hypnotize him in a way to get him to stay with her as her mate.
