Into The Woods (Fairy Tales Gone Wrong)

Fairy Tales are dark. I know that you're used to the Germanized versions of Little Mermaid and Cinderella, but those aren't the true stories. So, my fucked up brain thought of this group roleplay, based off of the reality of real fairy tales. Keep in mind: this is going to be DARK. There will be death, violence, and potential rape. I'm bringing out the worst in these fictional characters, no pulled punches. There will be some messed up shit in this. You've been warned...

Backstory: Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf went to school together. Wolf had a crush on Red, but never acted on it. The two were actually pretty close, despite Red being a farmer's daughter and Wolf being an orphan. Red often made Wolf forget about his troubles with her kindness. They met in 4th grade, when Red walked up to him and asked to race. From that point forward, they were inseparable. At school, through the years, Wolf was ruthlessly bullied for his goody two shoes nature and being even smaller than the kids in the grade just below his own. One day in particular, one of the bullies stole his goat hoof, the last treasure that was given to him by his father. Wolf snapped, and released the rage and anger from his long suffering. The next morning, while the bully was walking to school, Wolf snuck up behind him and clonked him on the head with a rock. Then he hit him again. And again. And again, until the rock crumbled in his fist. The bully's head was now just a gooey mass of blood and mashed brain with bits of skull sprinkled everywhere. The Wolf vanished the same day.

Four years later, the now 18 year old Red Riding Hood was faced with a dilemma. Her mother was incredibly ill, and was in no shape to tend the farm. Red could do it herself, but that would do nothing to heal her mother. As much as the two disagreed, Red recognized that the farm was her mother's life work, and refused to let it go to waste. Faced with little options, Red packed a basket full of veggies and deserts to sell. Not in the small, 20-house town she resided in, no. She planned to sell them at the greatest, and most dangerous, place on this side of the world: The Woods.

The Woods, which got it's name from the thick forest surrounding it, is teeming with fairy tale crooks and freaks. Everything is different here. Snow White is a Kingpin, Hansel and Gretel are missing children, and one of The Woods' most popular attractions is The Frog: a strip club featuring "Princess." The Woods are a gritty underground of criminals and crazies, and everyone wants to get on top. Welcome to the Woods, Abandon all Hope.

For this roleplay, I'll need a few people to play the roles of citizens of the Woods. I myself am playing The Big Bad Wolf, while the Red Riding Hood position is open. There are several other crucial roles that are necessary to advance the plot. Here are the ones that I have thought of, but I'm encourage ideas on who to add.

Snow White (Kingpin)
Alice (Schizophrenic in an abusive relationship with Mad Hatter)
Cinderella (Singer that killed her step-sisters and mother)
Three Pigs (Crooked Cops)
Beauty and the Beast (TBD)
Goldilocks and the Three Bears (TBD)

I hope you take part, as I worked really hard on this. Keep in mind this is a semi-literate to literate roleplay. And, let me reiterate: this roleplay is one massive trigger warning. Seriously, in the first version of this, Wolf raped Red, and she ended up with Stockholm Syndrome, and i fully intend on doing that again. Hopefully, I'll see you soon!

Hmm might be interested in playing Red honestly...after all who says she can't get our dear wrathful wolf wrapped around her little finger at some point and flips their relationship on its' head.

...Plus them becoming criminals could be a cool idea as well. xD

The Land of Oz gets pretty Twisted...

In a very dark and grim story, this adult and gothic version of The Wizard of Oz is indeed a twisted one. Dorothy is portrayed as a very innocent orphan who is also a fully developed yet sexually frustrated young girl in her late teens who is swept away to the land of Oz, a mysterious and psychotic realm of dark entities, sexual slavery, rape, mutant creatures and tortured souls.

Now, I'm not thinking something along the lines of the munchkins opposite Dorothy were I to go that route but a dark bend on Dorothy who is perhaps in service to an Oz the Great and Powerful, of some sorts.

I'm torn, though...

Gretel with her brother in some fashion could be loads of fun as well...

Actually, I think I wanna stick with the conwoman/thief angle if the GM allows. Thinking Beauty either is a sales woman selling various elixirs or has some kind of show and styles herself some kind of "beast" tamer xD

I wouldn't mind joining as Snow White, seeing as no one else has taken an interest in her. She can have the 7 dwarves as her goon squad, have the jewel mining union in her pocket, and sell "poison" laced apples as her main drug operation.

I love that. I'm definitely going with a male this time, still a bit undecided between Beast and Mad Hatter, in either case he's going to be an abusive type of fellow. If Beauty is some kind of tamer he'll be very hard/near impossible to tame. Doesn't mean it'll stop her from trying Would you be ok with this sort of dynamic?

For Beast I'm thinking either something in the slave trading business or a smuggler.
Mad Hatter could be into organs theft
