Princess Hanae Natsumi is the only daughter of the Crown Prince. Rumors had it that someone was out to assassinate her entire family. Her eldest brother and mother were already murdered in their sleep and now the royal linage is at stake. There was nowhere to hide in Japan. Assassins were everywhere. With no one to trust, sending her off to the world unknown was the last resort. Word had been sent to the West. Someone was to look after Hanae until word was sent that it was safe to return back.

After weeks of travelling, a young lady wearing a red kimono step afoot on foreign soil as she disembarked the ship. It was a bustling port for sure. Her dark brown eyes gaze upon men wearing strange clothes with guns hanging form their belts as well as women with waistlines smaller than hers. Behind her were two men carrying her belongings. They loaded the carriage with the trunks of clothes. It was a strange place for someone with hair as dark as the night and porcelain pale skin to be in. Her head was lowered the entire time, while every person she passed by stared at her. Hanae stood out like a sore thumb. Carefully, she boarded the horse drawn carriage which would bring her to the place to meet her protector......
