Requirements OoC Participation: Engage, interact, and collaborate with fellow players whenever possible. Character Images: (Face-Claims) should be of an artistic/anime style. The Letter Congratulations on the successful completion of the academic component of your studies. It is our unfortunate duty to inform you however that we are unable to process your educational status at this point in time as you have failed to meet the requirements for the government's Person of Good Character test. Based on previous reports provided by an anonymous source, our team has assessed your profile thoroughly, and have confidently determined that you have a tendency to exhibit characteristics that are detrimental and/or incompatible to society. In order to rectify this we have made the decision to mandate your participation in the Community Aegis Project; a project which aims to correct your social shortcomings and enhance your compatibility with society for the better of all. A compulsory period of two weeks has been determined and in order for you to proceed with your education, career or personal ambitions of choice you must complete the program to the satisfaction of an allocated supervisor. For further details regarding your enrollment please refer to the attached publications.

The Setting Since the letter essentially puts the entirety of your character’s life on hold; unable to seek work or continue their education in any tangible way. The only choice your character really has is to reluctantly follow the instruction outlined within the letter. Permitted only a backpack (predominantly clothes) of luggage, your character sets off to the designated location. Driving past an entire hours’ worth urban greenery, your character can’t help but feel a bit dismayed as they realize just how distant and isolated the supposed ‘rehabilitation facility’ is. As thoughts of spending the next two weeks cramped up in a tent, or tossing and turning in some dilapidated hut begin to plague their mind. They’re surprised when the thick density of tree’s abruptly break away and open up to a spaciously wide field of lush green scenery. The location that stands before your character is somewhat akin to an expansively open college facility; the landscape being tamed by human hands while retaining its flourishing natural beauty. The sporadic buildings that speckle the area seem to be intended for recreational purposes, and are well-kept and seeming new. As the road ends, and your character is forced to continue the remainder of their journey by foot. A well-dressed gentlemen approaches your character; greeting and directing your character to head to their allocated place of residence for at least the next two weeks (Refer to Title Image). While still pretty tedious, the place shows promise... and perhaps it won't be all bad?

The Affliction Your character has always known that there was something different about them. Regardless of whether they embraced their oddity, or kept it a well guarded secret. Someone has leaked their suspicions of your character's habits to the relevant authorities. An assessment by some government institution has determined your character to be afflicted with a specific trait which they believe is detrimental to either them, or society as a whole, and as a result your character has been sent off to participate in this ambitious waste of taxpayers money. While this might sound pretty political, I'd personally like to keep things pretty light-hearted and silly. Please keep in mind that this is a rehabilitation program for the socially inept. It's not a crime facility, nor is it a mental institution for the clinically disturbed. They're a problem in the eyes of society, not a danger. Psychopaths and angst-ridden souls will be referred elsewhere. Additionally I will require 'afflictions' to be broadly applicable to the context of the roleplay. For example being scared of the dark could be experienced quite easily within the roleplay. Whereas a fear of spiders wouldn't be accepted unless you can reasonably convince me that spiders will be an actively relevant aspect of the roleplay. I'm also hoping and willing to broaden the options listed below, so player input on potential ideas would be highly appreciated. If you've got an idea to contribute feel free to discuss below or message me with ideas.

• Exhibitionist: Discomfort with clothes, this character likes to walk around in the nude. (Supias)
• Anxious Virgin: Socially awkward and romantically inept, any form of intimacy makes them a nervous wreck.
• Homosexual: Is attracted to a person of the same sex as themselves.
• Cross Dresser: They enjoy dressing up in attire that is meant and associated with the opposite sex.
• Masochistic: Enjoying pain, they actively seek to have others inflict them with verbal of physical abuse.
• Arrogant Bully: Conceited and getting a kick out of bending others to his will through the threat of force
• Spoiled Brat: Someone who's used to getting what they want, when they want it. Gets distressed when it doesn't.
• Attention Whore: Loves being the center of attention, becomes moody and gets highly jealous of others when they're not.
• Space Invader: Having no concept of personal space, so much so that body contact becomes a prerequisite for interaction.
• Partner Stealer: Enjoying the thrill and triumph of stealing someone already in a relationship.
• Heart Breaker: Charming and attractive, but narcissistic and completely unfaithful to their partners.
• Love Addict: Falling constantly in love over the smallest things, only to lose interest and pursue someone else just as quickly.
• Sex Addict: Uninterested in developing a relationship, but boasting about the number of people they've bedded.
• Troublemaker: Enjoying chaos and emotional turmoil, they attain enjoyment through the irritation of others.
• Tsundere: While an affectionately caring person at heart, they have the habit of saying harsh things they don't mean.
• Pathological Liar: Social but secretive, not even the character themselves know why their first instinct is to lie. (MelodyCake)
• Control Freak： Everything needs to be in it's rightful place, and everything needs to be working at optimum efficiency.
• Bondage Master: An inherent desire to see other's tied up, and restricted through bondage. (Shii)

The Mechanics
There are currently two mechanics planned to be implemented into this roleplay.
However more may be added as the roleplay progresses.

Player Voting Contrary to its initial appearance, the Community Alliance Project while compulsory is quite a liberal program. While they believe it would be great for participants to be able to completely neutralize their afflictions. The main purpose is for participants to be able to control and/or conceal their afflictions at a socially acceptable level so that they may function normally in civil society. The program runs for two weeks, and each player will be asked to anonymously vote at the end of each day on who they believe made the most progress in conquering their affliction. However a players vote is entirely up to them; whether it be based on the intended progress, friendship or blackmail, etc. While not entirely relevant to the playings of the roleplay. Characters who fail to attain a certain number of votes will be automatically re-enrolled for another two weeks at the end of the program.

Kiss Note: Although the roleplay will be set in a modern setting, a single supernatural element (from the anime Death Note) will be incorporated into the roleplay. The Kiss Note is a magical notebook that appears and disappears sporadically throughout the course of the roleplay. Characters may vaguely know about the Kiss Note prior to encountering it as it's a somewhat circulated urban legend. Though how it circulated is a mystery. The rules concerning the Kiss Note are as follows. •   The Kiss Note is used by two names being written into the Kiss Note side by side •   The first name that’s written in will be sexually and emotionally influenced to want the person that written in second. •   The attraction will intensify rapidly over the course of the day. •   The only way to dispel the effects of the Kiss Note is for the two mentioned characters to kiss. •   If the characters fail to lock-lips by midnight of the following night, the ‘First Person’ will die. •   Communicating the existence of the Kiss Note results in both the communicator and listener to die within 24 hours. •   Any player character can be targeted, including the Kiss Note users own. At random intervals in the game the GM (Myself) will ask publicly in the OoC who would like to obtain the KissNote. Once granted the person can either post their pairing of choice in the OoC, or PM me privately and I’ll relay the information secretly to the person with the ‘first name.’ As this is a trial system, I am willing to let people opt out of being involved in this system. It's essentially a way for players to mess around with the flow and pairings within the roleplay. Essentially playing cupids through the powers invested in us as the creators of the characters/world.

Important Reiterations
- I'll primarily only be accepting Male characters for this roleplay as it'll be MxM/BL/Yaoi*
- Character Sheet Applications will be posted once 5 people are interested.
- I require a minimum of at least 8 players being interested to officially start the roleplay.
- Character Images (Face-Claims) will be required, and they should be of an artistic/anime style. (No Celeb/Models)
- I'm looking for participants who'll be able to post at least 2~3 times a week.

*I could potentially accept one or two female characters, providing that we have enough bisexual males. I considered making this open to any genders... but wanted to avoid the typical boob-fest of most group roleplays of this nature.

There's a few prerequisites I've set for afflictions.
The affliction must be…
-   Something that occurs between two or more human beings. An eating disorder for example would not be accepted because it’s a personal issue between food and self. Not a social one between characters.
-   Relevant to the roleplay. Being afraid of dogs wouldn’t be accepted. Unless dogs will constantly be present in the roleplay (they won’t).
-   Able to be practiced. For example a person with short temper can attempt to control their temper, while a homosexual male can try (and fail) to be attracted to women.



BDSM as a raw concept wouldn't be allowed because it lacks clarity, and encompasses a fair bit too much. I'd personally just pick one letter of BDSM and capitalize on that.

Bondage and Discipline: It's pretty easy if your character is the one who makes the demands, and enacts bondage on others... but if your character is wanting to be on the receiving end. they need to demonstrate that either  by their attire (immediately making them look a bit odd in society's eyes) or be pretty openly suggestive to others that they want their movement restricted.

Dominance and Submission: It overlaps a bit with the Discipline but again if your character has an overbearingly dominant personality that quite easy to work in. I'm not entirely sure how Submission would work... though I suppose you could set your character's personality to being a pushover and liking it.

Sadism and Masochism: No issues here, take whichever.

Hmm, I could be wrong, but I don't think the issue is with getting enough characters as it's about getting enough players. So I can see why Leki is holding off on character sheets till at least one more player =)

It works with a small group if everyone is on the same page in regards to posting, but the fact of the matter is, too small of a group of players can die pretty quickly with either slow activity, or one player simply dropping out or not posting.
So I'd personally hold off on thinking of secondary characters, at least till we have actually gotten to the character sheet stage.

But, if the two of you know anyone who would be interested or think would be interesting in this roleplay, message them xP I'm actually thinking about spreading the word myself~

Although I could potentially try to run this with 7 or maybe even 6 people. I do require a certain number of participants to consider it a group roleplay. For example (while I wish you all the best of health) if one of you got sick or lost interest and had to bow out for a few weeks we'd literally be down to three players.

So yeah, unfortunately we'll have to keep playing the waiting game.

While I'm open to the concept of secondary characters, I'd personally like to keep this to a minimum during the preliminary stages of the roleplay. Character get much more attention and hence become much more relevant when they're introduced one after the other. Sort of like a new character in each episode... albeit I'll be allowing them at a faster rate than that. For the time being though it's more about gathering the 'staff' necessary for production, rather than a shortage of cast.

As such I won't take reservations for secondaries yet...but Supias has been marked down for exhibitionist.
If either of you change your mind let me know.
And if MelodyCake wants to put his name down for something let me know too :)

Since we seem to have reached the minimum requirement of 5 people, I've added a character application sheet to the opening post. Admittedly it's 4AM for me at the moment, so I'll be heading to sleep. Even if that ends up being the case it's not really an issue anyway.
And if it does happen, I'll just have to make a fabulously rainbow haired gay guy who'll stand out over every one else.

As for housemates.... yeah I've had a few instances where I've stayed with party-people. Actually used to live with a retired old guy last year who'd get completely drunk 3~4 nights a week, and call up random people on his phone to chat, laugh, and yell at them. It could be a bit off-putting at times, but I'm pretty good when it comes to falling asleep with noise in the background so that wasn't an issue.
My issue at the moment is shitty housemates who always want to talk. I mean I understand that they've got nothing to do while they wait for the kettle to boil for their coffee... but that doesn't mean they have to come knocking on my door to see if I'm up for a quick social morning chat. I'd understand it... Not really if we were family, or if they were a close friend.... but fact of the matter is, I don't even consider them a friend, nevermind a close one xD I'm lived here for 4 months out of convenience and cheap rent, that's it.... >_>

Anyway, rant aside~
Just a quick heads up that I've added an extra section into the character sheet beneath the personal flaws titled 'Top 3 Kinks.' I considered having people link their O/O's and emphasizing things they're not interested in... but admittedly I seldom read those, and do my research only once the prospect of intimacy turns up in the roleplay. If you want to add something in that's not listed, feel free to do so at the end of the Character sheet though.

I've been thinking quite thoroughly about this roleplay over the past few days, and unfortunately I'm going to admit that I'm finding it less and less likely that

I've been thinking about the feasibility of this roleplay over the past few days...
And unfortunately I'm starting to think it's simply not possible to gather the required amount of interest.
Nor generate an adequate amount of activity within the roleplay.
As such I'd like everyone to hold off on working on a character for the time being.
I'll give the roleplay another 24 hours, and if things haven't changed. I'm afraid I'll just scrap this.
While ambitious, I was hoping to attract the handful of MxM players that exist on here... but that doesn't seem to be happening. Or I've completely missed the mark with the concept.

So yeah, concept is now on life support.
As I figure it's better to knife things now, rather than later once people have invested their time and hope into it.
Might attempt to run something more sexuality inclusive instead.
