Looks like that's almost all the characters in, so we should be starting fairly soon.
Non-combat stuff will of course be done via the boards--I'll get thread(s) up Soon as well.
For combat, the best option would be to use a program like OpenRPG. Unfortunately, this seems like it can't work out. As an alternative, at the beginning I will post a reference map of the area with the starting positions of the creatures the PCs are aware of (
). Then, we will use a coordinate system like is used in chess. Each column will have a letter, each row a number. This way, position can easily be expressed without having to update the map image--should be easy to look back and know where everything is. I can keep a running note of where everyone is in the same post as the reference map, if that would be easier. I would love to be able to run this real-time, via an instant message program or IRC (neither of which requires installing anything
) but I am not certain if everyone's schedule would allow---play-by-post might, unfortunately, be required. I hope that doesn't turn anyone off.
