I hate to bring up Naruto, but its pretty much my best reference when it comes to Ninjas, but how is magic going to work? Are we going the traditional Spirit Energy/Chakra route? Will there be ANY magic? Reason why I ask is to help solidify a basis for some of the techniques my character may be using. As I said before he usually resorts to illusion tactics, but also incorporates elemental techniques as well; causing roots to grow from the ground, summoning magic, things like that.

I just wanted to make sure things of that nature would be acceptable here.

Yes, as far as magic goes, we are not going on the same level as Naruto, think smaller scale. Example being a master of magic can cause an earthquake but nothing more.

Name: Shishiki Nura
Age: 17
Role: Student Council Head
Appearance: One of the first things people will notice about Shishiki when his face and body are uncovered is that his Hanyō(Half-Demon) roots are very noticeable. His eyes are a natural golden color, and his teeth and nails are noticeably longer and sharper than normal. His hair also seems to move on it's own from time to time, like it's sentient. Due to being half Nurarihyon, these things aren't just peoples eyes playing tricks on them. Shishiki simply has shapeshifting abilities, although the face people see is actually his true form. His skin is a caramel shade of brown, and he is very noticeably muscled due to his heritage and a lifetime of harsh training.

Brief Personality Overview: Shishiki knows what he is, and he relishes in being a Hanyō. He is naturally strong and fast and powerful; a feeling he never tires of. Also he has never lost a game of "my dad can beat your dad" that he can recall. And knowing what he is has helped him ignore and even pity the people he is supposed to call his shinobi bretheren, even when they shun him for being half-demon.

Shishiki is a nice guy, and tends to be pretty lackadaisacal and laid back about all but a few things. Training and making sure the people he cares about are good are two of them. When he's not lazing around, he can be found grudgingly doing a great job of being Student Council Head; or training...or playing pranks on people. He's also a pretty heavy flirt, but when surrounded by so much beauty can you blame him?

Background: Shishiki's father is an ancient demon, a Nurarihyon who has eventually come to be called Nura. He had always lived deep in the mountains near the village where Shishiki's mother, Aoka lived. The locals for miles around had always prayed to him, as he was known as a benevolent demon who traded favors and good fortune for those who truly believed in his kindness, as it strengthened him. Aoka and her family had always believed, as  Nura once saved her great-great-grandparents over 200 years ago.

And 200 years later, he would save her family again. One night bandits raided the village, as it was a stop-through town that led to several nearby cities and even had a route straight to the capital. The local militia weren't properly trained, and were outnumbered two-to-one. The women and children hid in the shrine, while the men stood to defend their homes. Aoka's family was prepared, as her father, grandfather and brother took up their swords. She, her mother and grandmother stayed behind to pray to Nura. The fighting had barely started when their prayers were answered. Clouds rolled in from nowhere, and rain started to pour.

Then red eyes started to blaze in the night. Nura and his demons had arrived en masse. The fight, turned into a slaughter, and every last bandit was massacred. Before the clouds broke, even the bodies were taken, and only smears of blood and broken weapons were left behind. And standing there, alone, a bloody sword on his shoulder was Nurarihyon. He asked whose prayer had been strong enough to summon him, and sensed it was Aoka. He took a liking to her, and eventually they fell in love.

With him around so much, the village prospered like never before, and in only a few years he asked Aoka to be his wife. She said yes, and the village threw the biggest wedding it had ever had for Aoka and the demon who treated them like his own family. Soon after, she got pregnant, and a year later Shishiki was born. His family and the village loved him unconditionally, and knew his demonic heritage would be a blessing for the boy, even if the rest of the world didn't see it that way. His father loved him most of all, but knowing what hardships lay ahead, he decided it was for Shishiki's best benefit that he train him as soon as possible; to prepare him for a hard but fulfilling life.

From the time he could walk, Shishiki was trained by his father and the other demons in his clan. Swordplay, shadow arts, yokai magic, taijutsu. He learned as much as he could from as many as he could, absorbing knowledge like a sponge until the day he was ready to take the next step. His father told him of the Rain Temple, and how that would be the next stop in the journey of his life. So he said goodbye to his home and left. He walked until he found the forest and allowed himself to get lost. He took a few hours to admire the beauty around him before finding the school. And there, he found a second home, even if there were some hardships.

Name: Mayami Saya
Age: 18
Size: 5'11 170lbs
Role: Disciplinary Committee
Class: Bloodwalker
Weapon: Torii Bow- A massive great bow carved from a torii gate. It is imbued with heavenly power, and imparts this holy energy into each arrow that is fired from it, reinforcing them to be strong enough to pierce steel and damage demons and spirits.
Brief Personality Overview: As a senior member of the disciplinary committee Mayami stands stern and statuesque, with a strict attitude towards those who would disrespect the rules of the academy. She is swift to chide those she finds acting improper and even swifter to dole out punishment to rule breakers, and thus has a reputation amongst the student body for being a hard ass. However when among friends in a more casual setting she is far less high strung, and is actually quite down to earth. She addresses those younger than her with an almost motherly demeanor, and has been known to be very protective of underclassmen. Mayami also has a more vulgar side to her as well, hidden beneath her veneer of professionalism, that usually only comes out when she drinks, which she is quite fond of. Those who have seen this side have remarked that is almost like a different personality entirely, more akin to a pervy old man than a proper lady.

Background: Mayami was born to a prominent miko clan, priestesses who dedicated their lives to exorcising and fending off malignant spirits. For generations the family bore daughters with naturally strong ties to the spirit world, allowing them to easily take the arts and magics needed for spirit hunting. Several members of the clan have even gone through the academy before her, all of them prominent Demoneaters who rose to great renown within the school for their skill and actions. However as the middle child of 5 daughters Mayami was nothing like her sisters who came before and after her. While they grew up dainty, graceful, and naturally gifted in the ways of magic, Mayami grew up tall, hearty, as strong as an ox but barely able to exorcise the weakest of spirits. As such she became the unspoken black sheep of the family. While her parents were not so callous as to directly shun her, they did not foresee great things in her future, and thus while her sisters were being groomed to take over the clan's sacred duties, Mayami was often left to her own devices. It was during this time alone, forgotten, that she focused on honing her strengths. She would never be a great miko, but as she trained with the family's servants she discovered herself to have a natural talent for more earthly martial arts. From judo to kendo, from wushu to archery, if one where to show her a fighting style or place a weapon in her hand she could take to it like a fish to water. However without the support of her parents she would not be able to afford the tutors and masters needed to push her to the top of her potential, and as such she joined the Temple of Rain as a Bloodwalker as soon as she was able, taking advantage of their teachings to become one of the strongest pure fighters in the entire academy. This lead to her ultimately becoming part of the disciplinary committee, both to repay her gratitude towards the school, and so that she could continue to hone her skills against disorderly students. As part of her Bloodwalker training she was tasked with crafting her own weapon, and it was then that she got the idea to re-purpose one of her family's holy torii gates into a bow, a rather unconventional idea to say the least, the weapon's holy power finally giving her a way to do battle with evil spirits, finally earning herself the pride and respect of her clan.
