Pathfinder Society X - Any interest?
« on: March 30, 2017, 07:48:28 AM »
This is just to sound out interest, I might be a little preoccupied at the moment.

Just wondering, is there any market for Pathfinder Society organised play scenarios or maybe modules?

Thinking of running an "X"-rated version of it for laughs, probably on some Evergreens, and reporting it when we are done. Scenarios I have in mind are Consortium Compact, Wounded Wisp and Murders Mark, but I am good with requests for others like First Steps or Confirmation.

I am thinking of 3-4 players tops per run, we can refluff characters/NPCs to do silly campy stuff, and maybe mess with a VC at the end of it (ie after reporting). Essentially its a mechanical run with refluffs for entertainment.

Any interest? Btw it helps if you have a paizo account ready.

Hmmm.  I'm not even sure if I still have a valid Society membership, but could be fun!

Have you ever heard of DnD Encounters by chance Kathyan? It's kind of like pathfinder's version of that from what I understand. :P

I've heard of it yeah but don't know what's it about either, sort of people register and play the same campaign?

Pretty much like that. It usually also has some restrictions on character options so what you're playing isn't unbalanced in comparison to other players.

Guess we have an Evergreen run then!

Any scenario request? If not I can start a thread for Consortium Compact, just expect more RP than is normal for a scenario. For those who arent familiar with the Evergreens, the distribution is about as follows as an estimate
- Confirmation: 70% combat, 20% skills, 10% RP
- Consortium Compact: 30-60% combat, balance RP/Skills
- First Steps : 40% combat, 60% RP/Skills
- Wounded Wisp : 50% combat, 20% RP, 30% Skills
- Murder's Mark* (module) : 40% combat, 20% Skills, 40% RP
* - i tend to run MM very organically. The pdf is railroaded but I dont see the point in doing so. Just dont over meta game.

You can also make Venture Captain (VC) request, where i switch to a different VC. I am not familiar with most of them, but I personally detest the bitch Sheila Heidmarch and would be more than pleased if you guys give her whats coming. (If any of you have ever played Night March of Kalkamedes or the Waking Rune or the Cyphermage Dilemma, you will know why. Among many other scenarios, probably many I havent played)

For combat fluff, we can use
- normal stuff. A slash is a slash is a slash
- clothing as HP if you are playing a female char. Defaults to GM posting unless you request to post.
- any other ideas? Regular molestations etc.

Enemy Requests
- would you like all to be male or female? This may (or may not be) be dependent on if the PCs are mainly female or male.

For out of combat interactions, I dont mind how long you take with the NPCs or what you do to them as long as they dont die and are not maimed (eyeballs dug out, limbs removed, etc). If you defeated them prior to that, you can do what you want to extract info or whatever. However, I would prefer to keep the opening VC briefing short and to the point.

Oh and does anyone have a timeframe by when they want the scenario completed? I would assume not but just checking.

Kathyan - youre welcome to join if new to PFS rules, I can just drop you a pregen. I can also give you the generic restrictions of PFS char creation, the Roleplaying Guide can be quite the pain in the ass to some.

5 should be ok. Although with this number of players I will request a combat script if fight breaks out.

Oh and please post your prefs if any.

I heard there might be 1 more interested party so two groups of 3 would be better.

Hmm heres how we can arrange easily I think. Each of you put up following

PFS ID:
Name:
Gender:

VC Pref: (Leave blank if none)

Enemy Pref (choose 1): Normal, All Male, All Female

Combat (choose 1) Normal, Clothing as HP, Freeform*
* - Freeform means the GM attacks and rolls, then you describe what happens to your character

Kinks: Not so Important

Turn-Offs: More Important

Preferred Scenario
1)
2)
3)
4)

The 4 Scenarios are First Steps, Wounded Wisp, Confirmation, Consortium Compact
Rank your preference (1 being most preferred, 4 is least)
Place * next to a Scenario name if you have played it before
If you have no preference or dont want to rank the scenarios, rank instead Story, Combat, RP, Skill Checks

========

Following need not be posted until scenario is confirmed. As an L1, you can bring whatever L1 you wish and like. Starting gold is 150 gp unless you are applying game to a char with more than 0 XP.

Character Sheet

Combat Script (for when AFK)

It turns out I do have a PFS ID, but I've never really used it (two characters registered but I don't remember playing either of them)
I simply don't know enough about Society Organized play.  I am bowing out, good luck!

I really don't know anything about it at all, is it that much of a headache as to make people bow out?  ???

I can be in certain situations Kat. Trust me, I've been in DnD encounters for two years now. :P

Really it depends on the GM/DM and what you're looking to play at the end of the day.

We could also just drop the Pathfinder Society thing, but I would probably craft a new topic with race restrictions and class restrictions and whole host of other stuff.

Weird, I didn't think that Society Play was really all that much trouble.  At least not bothersome enough to not want to play a game.  Guess that's just me then.

I have a couple of questions.  How does clothing as HP work?  What is the combat script?

It's not, I just meant I didn't know the details of it  ;D

Which means that I have no idea what ANY of those adventures are about, meaning I'd be happy with any of them. I've been having an itch for some sort of dungeon crawl, so if that's in the options, let's go with that.
