Rangers of the Radiance (Power Rangers) -Interest check-

This universe is made up of many dimensions, each of them pressed tightly against the other with only a thin veil separating them... two of the most powerful dimensions in existence, existing side by side, being Luxa and Domine... realms of pure bright white light and piercing black suffocating darkness.

Luxa, ruled by the beautiful and powerful young Queen Seraphina, revered as a goddess of all things good and pure. Within her body is housed the Radiance, a powerful light energy capable of miracles, it is passed down to each new ruler of Luxa upon the previous ruler stepping down. It is the ruler's sacred job to protect the light and in doing so, protect the entire universe and all the dimension that make it.
Luxa is the source of light for all the dimensions in this tightly woven web of billions upon billions of realms, it is where dreams, hope and love are born.

In Luxa, there is a legend told about the Radiance... that in times of great strife and peril and there are no other peaceful options to resort to, the Radiance had the power to summon forth ten legendary heroes gifted with the powers mystical glittering stones.



Domine, ruled by the cruel and vicious hearted King {Deliberately leaving the king pretty blank in consideration of his player}, this is the realm of nightmares and evil, where all things cruel, greedy, hateful and covetous are born. The king of Domine controls the Malum Sphere, a large spherical mass of terrifyingly powerful dark energy subject only to the commands of it's master.




However, enough... it was never enough for Domine or it's King, they wanted more... they wanted the Radiance, to capture it, corrupt it and add it's enormous power the already fierce power of the Malum Sphere...
Using the Malum Sphere, the King of Domine threw all caution for his own safety to the wind and summoned the full power of the Sphere, from there beginning to tear holes between dimensions, searching for a way inside Luxa... they managed to tear two good sized holes... one into Luxa and the other into a realm called... Earth.


The Domine King's minions tore apart Luxa in search of Queen Seraphina, laying devastating waste the beautiful paradise as they poured in through the tear like torrent of darkness, choking and suffocating the light of Luxa and her citizens...

Watching a grief stricken heart from the palace, Queen Seraphina knew that her kingdom of light and hope was going to fall... but that did not mean light itself had to be snuffed out... she knew what she had to do...
Reaching deep inside herself for the power of the Radiance, Queen Seraphina gripped that sacred holy power tightly and unleashed it's great power to summon forth the heroes that would stop these dark fiends before they did to other realms what they have done here in Luxa...

Already weakened from her initial attempts to repel the invasion, the young queen used the very last of her power and strength to send the Radiance's energy out into the universe to find their champions... and the queen... all that the King's dark soldiers found was the lifeless body of the beautiful young queen laying upon the throne room floor.

The King however... his eyes were on the ten powerful colorful streams of the Radiance's energy skyrocketing through the second dimensional tear... and so, the King made the order... to Earth they would go and blend in to the inhabitants of this realm while they searched for these 'heroes'... once they found them, they would rip the essence of the Radiance right out of their unworthy bodies...

Still working on the zords.

I think it could be acceptable to apply as generals and lieutenants for the Domine king, but it would help to have us a king first, do his underlings could include the bits about him where they'd like to in their profile. As for a theme, I'd discuss that with the king's player, but perhaps like a nocturnal predator theme? Or pirate? Lol, pirates like jewel hunting, right?

I would like the king's opinion though, when we get one.

The ranger team is not likely to have any dark rangers, they were specifically chosen by the Radiance, this pure source of light and good, it wouldn't choose a dark heart. The closest you'll get to a dark ranger is one of the king's generals or lieutenants.

Would you be interested in a character who was chosen by the radiance but can't be a ranger due to injury? He could act as tech support or even be the one who builds the zords. Have a few other ideas for him if you want to hear them. I can pm you about the ideas.

I can. I'm slowly compiling things, but I want to get a Domine king before I really flesh out that side, but we'll see.

I am certainly going to try very hard to make it that way. I'd rather see well developed meaningful relationships instead of mindless lust sexcapades, if anything.

I am still working a lot out on a whole bunch of details as I wish to make this a great game, however... I can tell you that the role of leader will be complicated thing, well, not really... but it's something I'd only divulge right away to the Ruby ranger and my Co-GM (Whomever that shall be).

And if you don't mind me throwing my hat in the ring on the Zorg planning, I did have an idea for the them. In the originals it was dinosaurs. Maybe take another beast route, just in this due to the whole dimensional realms thing, maybe they are each based off of a mythical creature? Ie; Amathyst getting a Dragon or other flying creature like a Griffin Akin to Pink's Pterodactyl? Just a thought.
