Status: Open Name: Jacked Content: Cyberpunk, virtual reality, stuck, transformation, other Summary: Two acquaintances plan an easy jack, get caught and stuck in the virtual world. Scenario: It was suppose to be a milk run. An easy in and out. Get it, get the data, and get out before anyone was the wiser. Someone tipped them off. Someone had to have. The hacker known as 'Dreamer' and her acquaintance known as 'Lifeline' were the best in the business. Data flowed through them like their lifeblood. They could unlock any door and get where no one wanted them to be. They'd get hired to crack the latest and greatest to steal their secrets. Sometimes for the greater good, sometimes for a quick check. It was a rush to them. Their latest hack was the big check they'd been waiting for. They were hired to go into the biggest corporation on the block, steal some of their future plans, and hand the files over to their contact. They'd been in the system before. Not as deep as they were headed, but the corp was a joke. It was going to be a milk run... Getting in was easy. Getting deeper still easy. Getting the files, easy still. Everything was easy. Nothing was ever this easy. By the time they realized their operation had been jacked it was too late. They were locked into the system with no way out and the corporation had big plans for their new toys... Behind the scenes I envision this being a dark tale of the perils of a cyberworld. Once locked in the players will have no control. They will be disconnected from their bodies entirely. They will have the option to cooperate or be used in a new experiment. They'll be used as online sex-dolls for the customers of a particular cyber-shack, forced to do whatever they are told to do. Their bodies will be changed and twisted to the desires of their partners. They'll be nothing more than fancy programs. Of course, that's not the end for them. The experiment goes beyond that. A new type of sex-dolls are in the make. Life-like and worth a fortune. What people don't know is a real mind is implanted into the bodies. Usually the minds are wiped so they are a blank slate. Our characters won't be as lucky. They information they have is too valuable to let go. Their mind are left in-tact when put in the bodies, and they are kept close. Status: Open Name: Our World Content: Virtual reality, stuck, fantasy, transformation, other Summary: Two friends play in a new virtual MMO; get stuck in the game Scenario: It's the latest to hit the virtual market; Our World is a virtual reality MMO that will one day sweep the world. You put your helmet on, or if you are lucky enough the full body immersion pod, and log into a fantasy world. You get to be one of the heroes. You get to feel what they feel, do what they do. You can be the hero you want to be. Currently Our World is only in a very selective beta phase. Many don't even know of the existence of it and those that do beg to be a part of it. Today is the biggest event. Hundred of people from around the world have been invited to take part in the next phase of the project. Once in the office they'll jack in and get to enjoy a demonstration of the power of Our World. At least that is the product that is sold to the market. In reality there is much, much more to it. The test today isn't just about letting players test the world. It is about seeing how much control the masters have over the players. Once logged into the game the players won't be able to get out. They will be at the whim of their virtual gods. Not all hope is lost. The virtual AI created to help maintain the world has a flaw; it cares for the players and seeks to help them break free. It won't be easy, but together they may be able to escape this virtual hell. Behind the scenes The experiment goes far beyond just testing the world. The group wants to see how possibly it is to implant an artificial mind into a human host. A mind that can access the hosts memories and act like a perfect replica of the host until called upon. The experiment today is to lock away the players mind into the cyber-world and put the artificial minds in their bodies. This wouldn't be a fact the players learn for a long, long time. Some of the players would become the character they created. Others would become randomized characters. Even more still would take over NPC bodies to help populate the world for future users. That is the end goal for all who go into the experiment, to help make the world more life-like by creating true intelligence. Wear down the minds so they don't realize they were once outside the game then let them be the perfect cast of NPCs. The AI would not allow this. Not fully. She is programmed to do as the masters say, but she is also programmed to look out for the players. An oversight in her programming allowed her to view the beta testers as players and not as NPCs as they had been designated. Most can't hear her call, but a few will. Those few are the ones who will have to work toward freeing everyone. It won't be easy. The creators of the universe intend to use the full cast as test subjects for their world, letting others log in and push them to their limits. Change them as they see fit. Put them into situations. Our World has limitless potential; from a gaming software, to personal relaxation, to cyber escorts. Of course they would all be branded differently through different companies, but it would all start here. Requirements: Currently only one opening for this.
