I've been following it since before the kickstarter went active, Wraith 20 was announced before C20, I remember back when both were announced. It was going to be released years ago until the art direction went down the pan when the main dev had RL issues and thus the literal years of delays happened until a point circa last year. It was supposed to come out before C20, in 2014 after going back and making confirmations.

Yes after checking, the backer pdf has come out and errata is being requested for when the general release comes, though damn... That's 4 years late. Even C20 was supposed to be slated as a 2015 release in the original plan, though that slid back though still actually overtook Wraith 20 and is out now, whilst the general public wait for Wraith 20.

I'd be more annoyed by how Onyx Path have been dragging their feet over these books, though the wait has been worth it each time, I've been very pleased with every 20th anniversary release.

There's that FATE rulebook that lets you play as cats who have some minor magic abilities. Someone tried to run it a year or so back on E too, but sadly not many players took the bait.

Can't say I have much interest in either Pugmire or Monarchies of Mau. Just hurry up and get Scion out :)

Yeah, that was me. I tried to run it around two years back. I wasn't too confident in GMing anyway, so the game was never gonna be all that.

Ah, you tried to run it as well? I think the GM I remember was someone else, or maybe not. Hard to remember anymore ;D

Aye, at one point I did.

Tbh I got a hold of 'Evolution Pulse' recently and I am very fucking psyched to have a play of that. :) It's basically a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk anime/manga game taken heavily from Tsutomu Nihei (Blame, Biomega, Noise, Knights of Sidonia) along with all sorts of grimdark Dark City/Ergo Proxy styled stuff. I mention it as it's another FATE pdf I'll probably never get to play.

There's also that D&D 2.0 race that turned up in Dragon magazine which were were-housecats with powers relating to luck.

It's nice to see so many oldschool RPGers here!!! I loved seeing that we've got old Gamma World and similar out there. I took a few minutes to catalog my shelves.

Things I really like:
Post-Apocalypse games - Aftermath, Atomic Highway, Apocalypse World, Gamma World, Morrow Project, Octane (Fallout: Equestria PnP)
Post-Human SF games  - Blue World, Cthulhutech, Eclipse Phase, Hc Svnt Dracones, Transhuman
Furry Renaissance Venetian Fantasy - Ironclaw (Gee, that was niche.)
Weird Stuff - Everyone is John, Fiasco, Lady Blackbird, S/Lay with Me, Trollbabe
Horror - Call of Cthulhu, Chill, Deadlands, Delta Green, Kult

Burt having said that, I'd be open to anything listed below.

Oh god why can't I play all these games? The full list!
Aftermath
Albedo
Apocalypse World (1 ed)
Ars Magica
Atomic Highway
Beyond the Glow
Big Eyes Small Mouth
Blue Planet
Boot Hill

Traveller, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and also my heart warms seeing Usagi Yojimbo... That last one was one of the first rpg books I ever bought. :)

Also neat to see you know 'Everyone is John'... I was pondering on the thought of how that could be run as a Pbp, given that control is taken in turns. It's something I'd really like to have a go at though.

I don't see EiJ working very well as a PbP. It feels like one of those games where you need real-time play, or else it will grind to a halt every single time you do a control bidding war.

Yeah, I've never actually gotten a group to play it, unfortunately. In Nomine and Call of Cthulhu seem much more popular for that genre.

I've been in a few games of EIJ over on GitP. It didn't really strike me that way. IMLE most forum games have day-long pauses quite frequently (because people work, sleep, etc). Usually the GM will set a time limit of 24-48 hours for everyone to get their bids in.

Yeah, I was figuring the game would kick off with a test for control. Then whoever wins that gets to make the first post after the GM's intro.

PMs to the GM would happen bidding whatever willpower and the result as mentioned would be decided after 24-48 hours. Overall I see it as a game in Pbp where you seek to keep the GM entertained, as if things get stale, or if control keeps ending up under one player, the GM can roll a d6 and see if John falls asleep on a 4+ for another bidding war test of control to happen.

It could probably work as a choose your own adventure thread style sort of thing. Everyone would pretty much have to be onboard to just roll with the randomness. I think the other players would still be cool to post, though only as a voice in John's head with zero control until they win a bid war.

That's pretty much exactly how it worked, and in fact all of the voices were encouraged to kibitz, wheedle, threaten, etc., no matter who was in control. But John would only follow the instructions of the controlling voice.

I think if you're playing EIJ and not everyone is on board for random insanity (fig/lit!) there's kind of an expectation problem there. :D

Some people here play only freeform just so bad things can't happen to their precious snowflake characters.  ::)

You get a special cookie, Thorne.  ;D

I'm cool with it, long as the dice show that's what happens. Dice are fair. Sometimes it's all good, sometimes Nuffle says screw you and crit fails your ass. Still, it's accepted as just how the cookie crumbles for me, rather than someone else being malicious or just pig-headed (I'm not immune to either myself, of course).

EIJ aside (it is a very "Speshul" special case), I prefer to have the dice because I want to find out what my characters do when the cookie crumbles in unexpected ways. I like watching them break and heal into new headspaces. :)

Sure, I mean sometimes your puckish rogue rolls a 20 when trying to ingratiate the party to a group of clear cannibals the GM placed there for a clear fight and sometimes a character rolls 1 three times in a row and the GM has to think fast to not do the 'rocks fall, y'all die' due to the impulsiveness of said character.  ;D

It's that randomised shenanigans which is pretty fun as a player (though my god, it's the worst as a GM... ::) )

Dice are fair. Someone slamming down a box of Hostess snack cakes in lieu of a character sheet so they can throw a 100 dice . . . not so much.

I have to say, I've never seen that one. Although I have seen someone try to order a pizza to get a re-roll...
