Thea Cassidy has been on the run for a long time.  She never stays in one place long enough to make connections not wanting to leave a trail for people to follow.  Until one day while hitch hiking to her next destination she's picked up by a young southern gentlemen who not only offers to take her where she wants to go but also a meal and a place to sleep for the night.  She accepts and he takes her home which happens to be a ranch owned by the young man's mother and run by her three son.
