Weaknesses:  Deliah is highly allgeric to anything wrought iron, as well as direct sunlight though she does remain in the shadows most of the time. Anything blessed is also fatal, though she can easily bring herself to stand in front of a church without too much discomfort but not for very long.
Motivation: Deliah wants a sense of belonging, her tragic backstory yearning to have stability in her life, or maybe a place where she can finally be put to rest; whatever seems to come first
Personality: Deliah is an rather curious individual, being she is quite active and bubbly for one who isn't truly considered alive by any means. This is mostly due to her history, as she had overcome such sadness, depression, and anger because of her fate; as now a days she aims to live life to the fullest and enjoy herself no matter what. Rather Deliah is quite prone to pouncing on unsuspecting people for the fun of it, always cheerful as she bounces around trying to see if she can get into some fun trouble on an daily basis.Though when she does think of her past she grows quite sad and secludes herself often in an high tree to escape from sight. When this does happen Deliah's bubbly demeanor changes, the young girl lashing out quite violently as it is an constant reminder to not cross her.
History: Born in 1902 life was never easy for Deliah, the youngest of three children the frail child was not expected to live for long as she appeared quite weak and sickly. Never the less she survived and was an happy child despite how difficult the world was at that time, her family having immigrated from Poland long before she was born. Her father worked construction for long hours and would often be missing from the family for long lengths of time,as it left her hard working mother to tend to three children mostly by herself in the city of New York where they called home.Deliah's mother was an excellent seamstress and would often enlist the child to help her fold and press various clothes for clients as the work was hard but the girl never complained. Living in an small one bedroom flat the family did their best to stay afloat, though tragedy would strike early as Deliah would come to find out. When she was only three she would loose her oldest brother Daniel to tuberculosis, the disease running rampant through the crampt and often dirty townships of immigrants of little Poland. The devastated family mourned his loss and tried to cope, her mother affected the hardest as she fell into an deep depression that seemed endless. Little Deliah would try and comfort her mother only to be turned away callously,as it would be the start of more tragedy to befall the family. Soon after Daniel's death they would loose their father in an construction accident, the devastating blow both emotional as well as monetary, the family struggling simply to get by due to his loss. Deliah's mother's mental state only began to crumble even more now left widowed and with two hungry children to feed. It was then that her mother made an last ditch sacrifice, to give her young children up for adoption as the profound effect would forever haunt Deliah.

She never saw her mother or sibling again after she was torn from her arms, the young girl of dark eyes and hair easily plucked from the orphanage to be taken by an man shrouded in mystery. The man was an philanthropist of sorts, his manor grand as it was odd, his collection of the dark occult bringing some to call him The Black Stranger. Never the less he took Deliah into his home, telling the child of bizarre tales of the paranormal and what his adventures around the world were.He was an strict man that demanded order and control, the harsh and stoic demeanor not to be trifled with as he was not afraid to draw an hand to one so young. His cruelty knew no bounds as Deliah both feared him as well as was intrigued, the man only to be addressed by Mr. Stranton in which she had taken his name as her own. There were many nights of haunting tales or witchcraft and beasts of the night, of preserved artifacts that went beyond the level of normalcy even for one so suave and well mannered.Deliah however learned from Mr. Stranton as he treated her kindly after many years, watching the young child grow into an beautiful young lady before his very eyes. Yet these times would not last as tragedy once again struck within her young life, Deliah waking one fateful night to horrors she would never be able to forget. As she investigated strange sounds from the parlor she would find her adopted father bent over his arm chair in a slump, his neck torn out and gushing crimson, his dark eyes wide in horror as he was fixed in death. The young woman screamed for help, running to the grand hallway to be in search of the authorities but quickly she found she was no longer alone.

The presence of an figure soon swept over the girl's form to block her escape, those crimson eyes zeroed in on her frightened form as she was frozen in place. Deliah would never forget how those white fangs gleamed within the haunting glow of the moonlight cast through the open window, the form's dark shadow nearly suffocating as she found she couldn't utter a sound.Yet the figure was one of mercy it seemed, the icy touch of it's clawed hand threading it's way through Deliah's dark tresses as it ushered a low hum, taking her beauty in as it seemed to settle it's mind. It would soon speak to the petrified female in an calming yet haunting manner, that the man she had known as Mr. Stranton was nothing more than eccentric who was building herself up to become his next experiment. Such lies made the girl scream out in defiance, the creature offering an empty laugh as he touched across her belly. Unknown to herself she was indeed being prepped for his mad experiments of the occult, the creature in list with Mr. Stranton as tonight proved he had finally crossed the line of insanity in his desperate ploy of immortality. "Young one you will die tonight...but I offer you a chance to live and have an life you have been robbed.."the creature spoke, the deadly poison within Penelope's body would soon consume her as the frightened girl felt her body convulse. That was when the creature extended his fangs in offering, to give her life and live forever if only to join the darkness of the shadowed world Mr. Stranton dreamed of.

Feeling her body begin to grow weaker Deliah made the fatal choice to join the creature in the undead world, an piercing bite was all it took before she finally felt the cold, icy grip of death take her; but as promised it offered life as well. The young woman woke to find her once beating heart stopped, the delicate freckles she once bore all but frozen over in the marbled flesh of ivory, the darkness of her long hair now an piercing white. She became an vampire she would soon be taught by the creature, an creature herself now as she would walk the world of the living yet never belong ever again. The creature was kind to the young and blooming vampire, teaching her well of her new found abilities in the manor she once called home. Yet like everyone else in her life it too would leave her on her own, Deliah growing cold and angry in the beginning as she began to lash out uncontrollably at the world who turned it's back upon her. She would watch the world around her grow and yet she would never age, technology beginning to boom and grow more advanced as she stayed within the darkness of the now condemned manor. For decades Deliah feasted upon those who dared cross her path, the angry young woman taking out her pain and suffering of loss and sadness on the innocent. It would only begin to cease when the vampire found herself isolated and completely alone, yearning for some sanity in her life as tales of an strange place for beings such as herself began to emerge. Curious Deliah would travel in search of Graceland, finding the truth of it's myths as the young vampire was blown away.

No longer did she have to fear of being alone, as those who understood her quelled the savage beast to tame Penelope with that of classes and like minded others like herself. It is the only place she feels safe, as the vampire allowed her anger to cool and become an warm personality after many months of conditioning. Now Penelope is quite the happy and upbeat individual, though the darkness still dwells within her, she does all that she can to not allow herself to fall into her sorrow once more, projecting the content and eager young woman she wished she could have been all along. She does have her moments however, the darkness is always an threat though it takes a lot to bring her to such an state.

Relationships:Currently does not know anyone though is a bit reluctant to change that

Sorry for the delay - My brain seems to be on strike. I've got a good idea of what I want to play in mind, but I've been staring at a half completed character sheet for the last few days trying to figure out how to put it to paper. Anyhow, I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

Is there some kind of plan for relaunch? I see a few completed characters, but no posts from any of them as yet.

Bekah Boo

I should have my opening post by tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

Take your time. Honestly the holidays have crept up on me and rabbit punched me in the back of the head. I'll be happy if this ball gets rolling in the new year.

I wasn't planning on a relaunch. I was going to keep the opening the scene as it was, since it's the full moon, everyone is at the Hollow and a good place for introductions.

Revna

Yeah, the holidays are sucking the life out of me >.<
HEITUS UNTIL THANKSGIVING!
