Here's a first draft, pretty solid... could probably make the complications more thematic.  The high Stealth skill represents mysterious Eastern arts training.

The Phantom Woman  AKA Linda Stryker

A dilletante who came of age in the roaring 20s, Linda Stryker became engaged to one Luke Benson, a an ambitious young  busy making the small family fortune into a much larger one.  He even survived the stock market crash and took his girlfriend to Hong Kong to ask her to marry him... or so she thought.  Luke had been smuggling opium to the US to stay afloat and was there to make a big purchase.  But the tong turned against him, paid off by a rival back home, and cut off his head, just as Linda walked into their hotel room.  She ran from the sight, the goons hot on her tail.  She came to the aged doorman, who merely smiled... as the thugs ran by, not noticing.  Shang Yen was his name, a master of esoteric arts who liked to watch people.  He saw something he liked in Linda and offered to help her vanish more completely than she could imagine.

And so she began her immersion in the mysteries of the east, learning how to erase her presence.  She was too much of the West to erase herself completely and find enlightenment.  Instead, she returned to the US to fight the mobsters who were ruining lives far worse than her own had been, creating the mantle of the Phantom Woman, appearing from nowhere to terrorize the underworld.  Prohibition has ended and organized crime is reeling and disorganized, while a new threat is rising in both East and West... one her knowledge of the Orient and deadly skills can help fight.

Perfect!  But the SPD should be 4.  That makes it easier for me to let everyone act at the same time, and I can keep track of events better.  Most bad guys are going to be a 2 or if they are a 3, they will have a lower DEX to go last, unless they are a major villain.

If a DEX and SPD are tied, the heroes go first in attacks unless surprised or outnumbered.

Something I noticed... Mason and Billy both have 8 point "Ranged Combat" skill levels.  They can probably get by with 5 point "all small arms" ones instead.  An 8 point one would cover not only small arms, but heavy weapons, thrown weapons and so on, since they don't seem to use anything but small arms.

Billy doesn't have an 8 point WF. He DOES have a lot of points in skills related to automatic weapons.

Billy Does have a 10 point power in a ranged weapon, but that's just a bonus to OCV.

Being Literate is the ability to read and understand a language. When you ask for literate, what you are looking for is Verbosity, which is the ability to use lots of words without actually saying very much... like politicians. I consider myself both literate and verbose.

Plus it is ONLY for automatic weapons.  He doesn't get the +4 OCV on small arms, thrown rocks, or other projectiles.

Myself...  I don't know what I want to buy for 3 points...  I'll change him.

Another skill, PD/ED, a point of rec, stun or end comes to mind.

You could probably get a CSL if you put a limitation on it, like Ranges, only uses .M1911 or Melee, only fist.

I want the main characters to be more powerful than mine.  He's just the linguist.  And, not very many have bought languages, area or city knowledge.  So, I'm leaving it open for plot purposes.

I've added Miss Kassey and Monterry Jack to the character sheets.  Let me know if you want to change them.

LSWSjr, I know that your father is having medical problems, so if you can't play or if you need to wait a while, I will understand.

I need a character sheet (or at least something more to work with) for Sally Aces, TFCommando, and Muse's characters before they can begin.

But, I'm getting antsy.  I NEEEEEEEED to play.  So, I am starting the game and the other players can join in later.  Link coming soon.

So it's '34, and one year after Prohibition?

Should Jade's/Sami's car be a heavily modified Model T, or would there be something more modern and powerful by now?

The web sites I've found so far jump stragiht from the 1926 Model T to the 1940 Ford V-8.

Also, should I be paying character points or resources for the Car?

  How about the basic equipment?

I mean, Jade's most commonly used weapon should be a sturdy crowbar.

She also has access to a baseball bat, an authentic tokugawa era wakizashi, and a reasonable handgun.

She usualy doesn't carry the last two.  If she really needs a gun, she figures someone else brought one, and if she opens the puzzle box and takes out the wakizashi, well, as Martin Laurence would say:

You are aware that the sword alone would cost you a years income for the era? They're already stockpiling in Japan for the army at that point and civilian sales were expensive to say the least for any blade.

As far as cars go, the model T was severly underpowered, so if you want something to run as a bootlegger, there are newer and much studier cars, like the Roaster and heavier tanks. The Pulp supplement was full of cars, including foreign made jobs.

Oh, yes.  I'm quite aware of that.  Check out my history in the OOC.  Before coming to America Sami's grandfather, "Fought on the wrong side in a war between the Emperor and the Shogun."

Ah, ha!  The Pulp Suplement.  What's it called so I can go looking for it?

I was fairly sure the Model T was severely underpowered, that's why I was asking for better information, being unable to find it myself!

:)  Can you ask me a gain tomorow?  I'm falling asleep crazy early.  it's only an hour after midnight!

I was trying to determine what called for buying a power and what simple called for resources.  I linked my sheet in the OOC but no one seems tob e able to follow it.  If people could look at my sheet--and i have no trouble clickign on my character name to get it open--thsi would be much easier.
