Elliquiy Title:
« on: June 16, 2016, 01:51:56 PM »
Hey everyone:

I was wondering if there was ever any thought of changing the title of Elliquiy's website:  "Elliquiy Adult Role Playing - Sexual rp forum"

to just:  "Elliquiy Adult Role Playing".

Just a thought...  I think the IT at work would definitely have a bigger red flag when they see the Sexual part...thoughts?  Just thought it would make it easier for everyone to rp in more places if you remove the sexual tag.

I don't think it's my place to make any comments on your proposal, but I would like to say that to me it feels it's never a good idea to be anywhere near anything related even just to "adult" and "role playing" if using a connection managed by your workplace. I think most employers have some code of conduct related to the usage of their Internet connection to which you implicitly agree when you start working for them and it says that you use their infrastructure for their interests, not yours. Normally they shouldn't care that much if you use a social network, read the news or something similar while at the job (though plenty of times they can from the legal perspective, but it's just not worth the hassle), but if for whatever reason they want to get rid of you at some point, can't find a real issue with your conduct and need to make something up, you hanging around "adult role playing forums" is pretty good ammo.

There was a case not long ago with a guy who got fired for chatting with his girlfriend from his office network and his employer's im account, just to give a somewhat related example.

Personally, I think that IT is going to have issues with 'role playing' at work, whether it's adult or otherwise.

Let me rephrase:

I think IT is going to have issues with 'not working' at work.  And if IT is looking at your browser history, it means that someone overhead has likely told them to.

It might be best to avoid using Elliquiy, or any RP site at all, if you're at work and especially if you're on a work computer. There are a lot of people who don't understand RP and they often chalk it up to "cyber" or something of that sort. I would just avoid using it at all, or use it on your private cell phone. :-)

Thanks.  Well, another point I wanted to make was that somehow Elliquiy sometimes gets blocked in certain places such as the library from porn filters.  I noticed a place where elliquiy was blocked but rpol.net was not.  Just wanted to throw that out there.

It's not a big deal, and I am having fun regardless.  Happy posting!
