Siggy help
« on: June 04, 2016, 07:15:09 PM »
Okay so I'm trying to do the whole link various pages in one convenient link thing, but for some reason it won't save properly. I use the standard (Omitting the first bracket)Url='blahblah'] Stuff goes here style, but for some reason it will add an extra http:/ after I save in front of the link, which breaks the link @~@ I am inept at coding so I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong -__-;

If you could copy/paste it here we could correct it for you.

If you put
(without the space before the last bracket) before it and
(without the space before the last bracket) after it, it should show the code from your signature without loading any links.

That should be it.

Code: [Select]
Your own self title of direction of link
Unless you are trying to add a picture or something as well to go with the siggy, which images have to be directly link to the E wiki to work in a signature add on.

My mistake - I thought I was replying to the OP when I replied to Drake (edited).

Drake's code should work fine.

Alternatively you could just copy and paste the whole siggy of yours here of what you are attempting to input. I'm sure someone will help you(right now my time is limited, so if no one else gets to you by tomorrow and if you haven't figured it out, I'll correct it,) though I am sure there are plenty of people about more savvy in some of the bb coding than me that will likely correct the issue beforehand.

Here is what it does. I type in the normal code(without the extra http) and for some reason upon saving it does this :
(First bracket omitted)url=http://'https://elliquiy.com/forums/index.php?topic=250531.0']Request Thread

Are you entering the http or is that what the site is adding?

The site enters the http for some reason.

For some reason there were apostrophes before and after the link information.  I removed them, check and see if it's good now on your end.
