The year is 2020. It has been 29 years since the fall of the USSR. Since that time, Russia has become an increasingly modern society, and has cooperated with the other world governments on several affairs. However, recent events have begun causing tension, one such event being the rise of ISL, and another being Russia's continued support of Assad, along with the harassment it received after annexing the Crimean region. These events have led to several groups wanting a return to the old communist doctrine. On November 9th, 2020- the 31 year anaversarie of the fall of the Berlin Wall, one such group, APK(Адвокатессы фор Ретурн то Коммунист- Advocates for Return to Communism) manages a millatary coup-d'etat, thanks to pre arranged plans with parts of the Russian Army, Navy, and Air force. In one day they capture an area stretching from St.Petersburg to Volgograd, and from Pskov to Glazov. Soon afterwards, the NSR(New Socialist Republic) begins threatening the surrounding nations with war. The effort to stop the NSR's growth quickly goes from purely internal to international.
I intend for this to be a 2 to 4 person RP, depending on how many are interested. Those who choose to are asked to have a character in mind from an outside country, in some part of its military. I intend for their to be multipul path-crossings within it as the international effort to destroy the NSR continues. For instance, my character would be Colonel Iuri Bevonocov, A Russian airforce pilot stationed at an airbase just outside of Stavropol when the coup happens. You can also have your character start and go were he/she may, so long as it stays relevant to the plot.
