It's awful that I have a whole rack of heroic games, some really long term, and yet I keep popping in here...like "but they need me!"

Not knowing who's claimed or used already, I can think of some Marvel options.  Did you see them being an item with Booster or more of a failed relationship or just a fling/one night stand?

Dazzler for one, given her own bit of fame.  I could see her being willing to look underneath the image, you know?  Tigra is a very adventurous lady and a possibility too. 

An odd choice might be someone else time displaced like Rachel Summers.

Okay...the biggest issue for me is the fact that I have a few different types of characters I like playing with a preference for sneaky types (Think Cipher from Young X-Men). So far, I've written Lightning, Rocket,  Cipher, a Dust knock-off, Angel Salvadore, a Vixen knock-off, a Gambit knock-off, Cecilia Reyes, Spectrum, Storm, Frenzy (but not as a Villain)...*blinks* I know there are more...(and don't even get me started on the anti-heroes or the femme I am playing based on Fire) so when I say that I have no idea, that is the literal case...as I don't want to reuse a character trope I've done before...

*sighs*

You don't necessarily need to use canon parents, either, just so you know. There's nothing stopping you from going pure OC, if you'd like.

Normally, I go stare at a power wiki...and drag stuff together and then refine it waaaaay down (for OC type characters) but to do that, first I have to have an idea of where I wanna start! (Like my brain is telling me to go for a magic user...as I have not written one of them for a heroic type game.)
