Griffin Baynes is a complicated individual. It would be a stretch to call him a nice person but he isn’t entirely horrible either. When it matters, Griffin can be a good friend
and a strong ally
to have around. At the same time he greatly enjoys toying with the emotions of others for his own amusement. He has manipulative tendencies
, it is natural for him to use his charms
to get whatever he wants. He is highly opinionated
, and greatly enjoys a good theoretical debate every now and then. He likes to play devil’s advocate, “just for the hell of it” as he puts it. He has love of all things beautiful (people included) which taps into his artistic sensibilities
. When it comes to the realm of relationships, he is highly pessimistic
. He doesn’t ascribe to monogamy or any of its trappings (i.e. marriage), and believes that all relationships are destined for failure. While he may not be loyal in the realm of romance, he is highly loyal
to those that have earned his respect.
Character Survey - we never understand what is on our noses.001. What type of porn gets your motors revving? (be honest)
Sometimes I wish the porn industry would put in a little effort when it comes to the actors they hire, the sets the use, and the scenarios. It is seriously all very uninspired. 002. Do you think being gay is a disease, or do you think people are born gay?
People are born with a sexual orientation. We just happen to be in a society where the social norms regarding sexuality are very rigid.003. What is your earliest memory of being gay/bicurious/straight, if any?
Knowing I had as much of a crush on Sirius Black as I did Luna Lovegood.004. What's your best and worse memory?
Moving to shitty ass North Carolina.
My life is too mundane to have any one memory that sticks out as the best.005. What's the most attractive feature in someone else?
Whatever their best trait happens to be; melodious voice, beautiful eyes, gorgeous smile, elegant nose, shapely ass, lustrous hair, whatever really.006. What is the best pickup line you've ever heard or said and the worst one?
The best pickup line is not a pickup line. The worst: every single one I've heard.007. How do you respond to help of any kind, especially when you never asked for it?
Depends on the situation and the person offering.008.

History - we need to know where we come from.OVERVIEW:
Griffin's parents met while his mother, Miranda, was on a one year exchange to New Zealand through her university program. The young American had never left the country and it had always been a dream of her to travel. Despite the temporary nature of her situation, the two started dating. Eventually she had to go back to the US but they began to date long distance and Miranda decided to make the move to New Zealand. The young couple got married and a year later had Griffin. He was only five years old when the two got divorced. They had been so young at the time of their marriage and hadn't known each other for very long. They discovered that they didn't get along as well as they had thought. The two clashed terribly and eventually decided that they couldn't live together anymore. Miranda left New Zealand and went back home to the US, leaving her son in the care of her ex-husband. Griffin lived with his father until he was ten years old, when a car crash took his father's life.
Griffin did feel some resentment towards his mother for leaving the way she did. Whatever issues he had with her went unresolved. He was forced to go back every summer to visit and he had to call her once a week. These were the conditions that had been agreed upon by his parents. So, unlike most children, he despised the coming of summer more than anything else. When his father died, Griffin had no choice but to move in with his mother and her new blended family which included a step-sister he couldn't stand, a step-brother who was a complete idiot, an incredibly annoying half-sister and a step-father who was a real control freak. The two had always clashed. The man was strict while Griffin's father had been more lenient, not to mention his step-father's conservative views which were the opposite of his father's.
To say that the two clashed would be an understatement. It was while Griffin was studying at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia that the secret of his sexual orientation came to light. His step-brother was going to the school as well but the boy had never given him any trouble growing up. Unfortunately his step-brother said something to Griffin's step-sister who promptly broke the news to their parents. So here he was. This was his second year at Jamison and still there was no 'progress'. His step-father had insisted on enrolling him, stating to his wife that he wouldn't give up on her son. It appeared that this was a testament to his love for her. Griffin doesn't care either way. He plans on getting his degree and leaving his family behind. He isn't one to turn down free tuition.
