I can see why any who complete char-gen get auto-accepted into the game... *cries a little and curls into a ball*

I keep going back and forth between ideas...

*pats and comforts*

That's why I said those who complete sheets get auto accepted as it's huge amount of work and can be nightmare to do for those who got lots ideas :P.

Not to mention character creation is only half of the work. We need to auto-accept just to compensate for the turnover.

I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm just gonna keep this simple:

Unarmored Warforged > Fire-Souled > (Modified) Saint (ECL 5)
(Some Rogue-Like, likely a Variant Rogue) > Avenger (aka. Assassin) (13-14 Levels)
Metamagic Specialist Sorcerer (13-14 levels)

It is not optimized, not optimal, but fuck it we'll just call it a 'low-level epic' adventure instead! XD

There, hardest part will be the bloody spell selection... *pulls up Treant's Guide*

You may be able to 'fill in' some of your extra 'Monster Side' levels with a relevant Warforged Prestige Class. I'm not sure what would and wouldn't count -- but options like Warforged Juggernaut, Spellcarved Soldier, or Landforged Walker might be fitting? Check with the GM, of course -- but some way to not let those extra Monster Side levels go to waste!

Unless I missed a discussion/rules call -- I think Avenger/Assassin's admittedly shitty spell list makes it a Magical Side Class, doesn't it? The same way Paladin or Ranger would. Unless there is some variant/ACF we're using for Assassin in the same way you can for Paladin/Ranger.

Or Reforged too! But that is a good question for Zaer: can I take a racial PrC on my racial track?

Also assassin is one of those that could be swu g either way, Like Paladin or Ranger or Hexblade, so it matters little which team it is on.

You can take racial PrC's in monster side. So example warforged juggernaut is okay to take. Also Assassin is a PrC, not a base class. With PrC's you can decide do you progress it in martial or mystic side (so long you qualify for it in given side and assassin mostly asks skill ranks and so you can enter it in either side). The martial/mystic limitations are for the base classes. Also hexblade is counted as mystic class in our system. Ranger and paladin are default mystic classes but with ACF's they can be martial (the ACF's which remove their spellcasting ability).

Ah, my bad on the distinction between base/prestige in regards to which 'track' they go on! That's good to know.

I fully expect I missed reading that somewhere tho : P

...I just noticed this morning that the Lurk in complete psionics has a Sneak Attack that is separate from the rogue version...

Meaning with the Paragon bonus, I can sneak attack for 20d6+16d6 or more due to Lurk Augment...

...yeah, i'mma do that, and I have less spells to fuck with!

...if only Lurk ran on Cha instead of Int...

EDIT: forgot to ask if any edits need to be made to the Lurk class...

Also I totally have an image of One Punch Man with my damage output with a Rogue14/Lurk14...

Switch to int? You can get all the same sweet stat to AC etc. from monk by substituting wis with int, plus every cool monster maxes int instead of cha. You'll love the skill points it brings. Maybe you should still take some swordsage levels in the rogue though, just to have some sweet stances and maneuvers?

That is pretty wonky combo to get both psionic sneak attack and regular sneak attack and Lurk would count as mystic class (as it got psionic powers). In adjustment department I see no edits on the class itself but to mention with the Lurk Augments that you need choose between attack roll, dmg or saving throws (how your lurk augments get improved by +13 insight bonus). Example if you say dmg, then you get +13 insight bonus to all dmg rolls when using lurk augment (or in case of additional sneak attack, add just more sneak attack dice initially or stygian strike giving more negative levels).

...anyone have a suggestion for an Acquired template for a Living Construct besides Saint and Fire-Souled? I have Phrenic - it's fitting since I'm apparently turning this into a fuck-mothering psionics campaign XD - and I'm trying to hopefully raise Int and/or Cha...

...but I have yet to find a Psionic template besides Phrenic, or an acquired one that doesn't suck ass... besides Saint which I'm trying not to mess with at this point because I'm trying to keep my SLA's streamlined, and Fire-Souled just because I feel I can pull something better (but it's certainly my backup).

Any suggestions? Also are custom templates available? I know Zaer made the Lustbound and that Vampire-with-Sex-Addiction templates, but wasn't sure if I could make my own...

I also been thinking that some kind of general 'evolved creature' that could be applied to anything and works like the evolved undead could be pretty nice for just filling the gaps and for those monsters that just can't find any good templates (I know the pain :'(). It would be pretty easy to tweak too, just replace ability scores with whatever fits and also switch to some different SLA or psionic like abilities.

Yeah, evolved undead has been used on evolved outsider template. So a evolved living construct could work in theory. Also note in warforged in races of eberron there is psionic warforged type (not sure what you sacrificed for it but I think it would fit for warforged who enters to psionic stuff). So if you go to psionic warforged then evolved living construct would give approriate psionic alike-abilities per level and improve your con and charisma (or int) per LA you take (and also improve natural armor). Evolved undead is +1 LA which can stack so it can help fill things up.

Example my own char started as death knight which had evolved undead stacked it five times (base race being hellbred).

It's Psiforged Body, and it turns me into some sort of crystal-thingy... which as it's a feat not a Template likely means I don't get the benefit of the Insight Bonus... *cries a little* Oh well! :3

And modifying the Evolved template would work FABULOUSLY for me; it's straightforward, simple, and judging from the LA for Phrenic, would likely allow me to take it 12 times (+1LA each time so...)

I've also found: http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723d and http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b , which provide a new ability called 'Enhanced Sneak Attack' that gives me MORE bonus damage when psionically focused... this means that I can get the Insight Bonus for Assassin's Stance, Enhanced Sneak Attack, Sneak Attack, and Psionic Sneak Attack... resulting in at LEAST +52d6 with another 13d6 from Lurk Augmentation and then the base SD/PSD dice... so like... 60d6 -> 75d6? Something like that? I think I finally found a way to make my girl an 'epic assassin' >:3

Just do take note that if you take enchanced sneak attack both as rogue and assassin, the two abilities stack on each other and so when you take +13 insight bonus for it, it applies only once (same applies if your paladin of tyranny and then enter blackguard and as you get Grace from paladin levels and Dark Blessing from blackguard, you apply +13 insight bonus only once). But conceptually it's strong concept to go for psychic rogue and then psychic assassin to get nice psionic powers and that enchanced sneak attack feature. However I think it's better to go for lurk/psychic assassin and then go martial side on rogue to get lots sneak attack dices.

What comes to psiforged body; feats which grant special attacks can be enchanced but not generic buff feats (nor feats which give flat bonuses like weapon focus). So no for psiforged body to be enchanced but if it would give you actual offensive ability, then it could be enchanced.

Bah, had to step back and clear my head; ready to try and finish this shit now! :3

So, thinking this for the Evolved template:

Elder Psiforged
Acquired Template applicable to any Middle-Aged Psiforged >300 Years in age and not immune to the effects of aging.
This template can be acquired multiple times, and it's effects stack

Armor Class: If the Base Creature benefits from having Standard Plating, Mithral Plating or Adamantine Plating, the Non-Natural Armor of the Base Creature improves by 1. If the Base Creature is Unarmored then the Natural Armor of the Base Creature improves by 1 instead.

Psi-Like Abilities: DC is Charisma-based, and each can be used 1/day. Roll randomly to determine which psi-like ability the Base Creature gets upon receiving this template.

{Insert 12 Psi-Like abilities, I have not chosen yet}

Psionic Talent (Ex): Per the Feat, which stacks

Fast Healing (Ex): the Base Creature heals 3 points of damage each round so long as they have at least 1 hit point.

Abilities: +2 Dexterity and +2 Intelligence; Years of practice and learning have resulted in more efficient motion and a wider breadth of knowledge.

Challenge Rating: Base Creature +1

Level Adjustment: Base Creature +1

OH MY GOD!!! I just realized that for the base race it's PURELY based on CR/HD (whichever is higher), not CR/HD AND LA!!! LA is only for fucking TEMPLATES APPLIED!!!

I have been doing this back-assward, dammit! >.<

Rofl, silly my dear, we did change the rules on the base creatures as many cool base creatures had high HD and LA, so went for HD or CR route as often LA was over priced :P.

I'm trying to decide if I'm persisting out of determination or obsession at this point... : P

That said, I'm now trying something starting with Nymph as the base race (I'm honestly surprised nobody has made one yet for the game, at least per the Char-sheet thread), possibly mixing with Alu-Demon ("What happens when the most beautiful of all creatures has lesbian-babies with the most sexual of all creatures?")

Nymph is possible base creature and can get half-fiend or alu-fiend template. But overall you should pick a concept you like and then stick with it to the end or else you may cycle through here for months before get anything done :P.

Determination and obsession are both wonderful things.

For Nymph base, Boleyn the Widow Queen is one. I'm sure my char-sheet is posted. . . .

Yeah, it can be hard to tell, as I think I've said, because most people don't post the composite elements of their templates/base creatures, being heavy on the reflavoring and refluffing.
