True. I believe I'll do that instead. Thanks for the input Glyph.

Happy to be of aid.

Incidentally, don't underestimate niche stuff like Locate Object either. Our personal stories/plots get customized to suit our characters, so if you have the ability to sense treasures or artifacts, it's very likely that the ability to do so will be of great benefit at some point.

Well, feather fall is useful to make other people fall slower (as yourself got wings). But if you want alternatives, then check dragon magic for alternative dragon traits (including replacement for locate object for red dragons I believe). You can mix the silver and red dragon gained spell-alikes and features (including silver's alternative form albeit it can be gained via a single feat), but you do not get both features as you must pick between which ones you take.

Dragon Magic gives you lot more options, spells useful for dragons and also dragon related magic items.

Hmm, you're right. then again I can use it as a known spell since Dragons are natural sorcerers too.

@ Glyph: Can I get your thoughts on the spell list I drew up? I know you're on GitS as a Mod and I ilke to go there for char input

@ Zaer: Then I'll exchange the Locate Object ability for Detect Thoughts (Both are Juvenile Abilities) then.  Then grab Alternate Form as a feat

Glad I have it on hand.

Oh noes, my secret identity is revealed.

Did you link your spell list somewhere? Speaking of spells, Zaer, you need to make a spot ruling on how the Dragon's natural spellcasting in the Monster track interacts with the general game ruling of 'Spellcasting track/Mundane Track/Monster Track'.

Well Glyph, If you used a different name between the sites.... XD

As for the actual Character sheet I'll post it up once I finalize my choices.

In general, though, I'd expect a Dragon's spell list to be heavy on self-buffs and utility. Your low caster level will make it hard to affect enemies with your innate casting, and vulnerable to dispels.

The Paragon +15 to Caster Level covers that.

That only affects your innate Spell-Like Abilities.

Quote
If the base creature has spell-like abilities, it gains +15 to its caster level to use those abilities.

Spells are explicitly not SLA's.

Get Wraithstrike as a 2nd level spell for certain, for touch attacks - probably in place of Incendiary Grease. It's Grease with a tiny fire damage component that will be irrelevant at our level.

For that matter, hold off on any other spell modifications for now until Zaer decides if Dragon PCs have innate casting at all, or if he'll want you to take a modification template like Xorvintaal Dragon or Wyrm of War since you'll get spellcasting through one of your gestalt lines. You can always get the stuff via your class casting anyways.

Ah! Thanks for catching that! Teaches me to read stuff more carefully.

True enough and I'll do just that, touch attacks are lethal.

You can add +13 insight bonus to your CL or save DC for spells (many of our legendary monsters use it to boost their spellcasting and most go for save DC increase but increased CL is useful for resist dispels and greater durations for buffs).

Anycase with dragons or raksasha, levels as sorcerer stacks with their innate abilities (including other scenarios like illithid innate psionic powers which are equal to psion to their HD, the psion levels stacks with it also).

However, dragon PC's do not gestalt at all. They are up front having more HD, more feats and more baseline stats than anyone other monster in the game. So when you pick to be dragon you play as a dragon with paragon creature template (plus any templates what you can get when you reduce your CR less than 35). In short dragon players start with mature dragon (CR 18) + Paragon Creature (15 CR) + 3 LA worth of any innate or gained templates. Half-dragon is +3 LA and he could opt to start as adult dragon (CR 15) so he gets +3 more LA template room.

In short they do not get no gestalt levels because base monster they start with is very strong base when combining with paragon creature template. They can take dragon PrC levels in char gen or enter after char gen or take other class levels or advance their HD in general until they reach great wyrm age stage (but advacing HD such manner you get more than one HD advancement on ' dragon level up' so to speak).

I preferred to have less crunch to handle and less jumping back and forth.

In regards dragon PrC's, draconomicon has list of them and one of them is fairly good one; Dragon ascendant. Also Ravager of Tiamat or Sacred Warder of Bahamut are interesting choices as well. But to get into them (if want have half-dragon template) is to start as adult dragon than mature adult (so thus loose dragon HD, stats and overall benefits being older dragon). Yeah, picking and making dragon PC is less crunch as it has no gestalt involved :P. So much more straightforward.

Indeed. that's why I chose do it that way.

You said we have 200K to spend on stuff or is that just for the 'legendary item?"

200K total, which 100K can be spend single item which is your own 'legendary' item. Most other monsters legendary items are combination of several items albeit my own char's case it's his armor.

Ahhh gotcha! That makes this easier then. XD I'd grab barding but that requires a feat to use.

A dragon with armor? Interesting choice :). I advice take wilding to it so you can wear armor in alternative form as well.

You could always just take a level in Fighter or something for the proficiencies, instead of wasting a feat. Though enchanting Bracers of Armor is also a way to get valuable armor properties without feats or limiting your Dex bonus.

Which is the easier option, no feat required and the amount we start with covers alot of useful enchantments.

Bracers of armor is easier solution perhaps (albeit less cool in my book but that's just my opinion about it :P). Dragons got 10 Dex by default in all age categories, so as paragon you got 25 Dex and so +7 adjustment. It can be significant bonus for touch AC (as armor restricts touch AC) but dragons got spell called Scintilatting Scales which turns natural armor bonus to deflection bonus for decent amount of time.

You can get armor enchants that's true, also only true other benefit wearing armor is material benefits (adamantine giving you untyped DR vs physical dmg). Also some other feats like heavy armor mastery giving you DR 5/- while wearing heavy armor (and stacks with adamantine). Up to you really but if want wear armor to get moderate or even heavy fortification, bracers work fine as well (or other magic item which gives armor bonus like robes of archmage albeit dragon in giant robes is silly mental image compared to big dragon wearing suit of armor).

His problem is that at character creation, he has no way to get armor proficiencies without burning 1-3 feats on the stuff. So either he finds an alternative to a suit of armor, or he eats a moderate to substantial attack bonus penalty.

Here's a work in progress for Erisd, Walker on the Couds:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Nn-vhHczhjxFFdgKrJn9JC5bAwPiUP5-u5pDiEX5GG4/edit

And here's an alternate image:
https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/c4/ae/3c/c4ae3c93e0c18c42c07ef266d9f6aad2.jpg

Any opinions on which image I should use?

Also, is there any way--primarily for thematic reasons--I could get Air Walk as either a spell like ability or as an arcane spell?

Maybe a feat I could use to upgrade her Leviate abilty?

I prefer more the second pic but I am biased as I have seen where from the first pic originally comes from (a cringe worthy DnD themed porn film). Also assume you typed cleavage as a pun than a typo there. Besides that what I can see the sheet looked fine but you had forgot that Marshal class features had been merged with paladin class (so consider my homebrew paladin as marshal+paladin gestalted together by default).

What comes to airwalk you could get it via taking divine sorcerer variant and taking Air domain at 5th level (and get awesome divine companion in 1st level). Alternatively could get it via taking extra spell feat (but works if you know to cast 5th level spells already by point you take the feat and thus taken in 11th level or 13th).
