Character Name: Mikaelah “Mike” Stevens

Description: At 5'6", Mike is actually a physically stunted version of herself. A history of undernourishment in maturation years has left her thin and somewhat underdeveloped. However, the few years she spent in prison has given her the ability to earn a little life back. Steady meals - if meager - and access to equipment have allowed her to build some wiry muscle on her slight frame. Enough to be healthy, but not enough to stave off starvation any longer than usual. Waist-length brown hair and honey-brown eyes are barely enough to distract from the myriad scars that stand out when Mike is cold, tanned or the skin stretches. Though she is not a powerful opponent and not given to fighting, she has had many opportunities to refuse to be a victim.

Character sexuality: Hetero-fluid (Generally prefers men, but will periodically stray if the mood strikes her.
Character personality: Generally very quiet and seemingly suspicious, Mikelah tends to watch those around her very carefully. She tends to remain inert for long periods of time given a lack of stimulus, though she is alert. Characteristic of her desire to remain relatively unnoticed, she speaks generally seldom unless she feels trusting of the individual to whom she addresses herself. Comprised largely of tightly-controlled quick movements when in motion, she tends to do only as much as is necessary before she stops. As such, it is difficult to read her personality aside from the overly-cautious.
Character’s Earth Background: Born to a drug-addicted mother already incarcerated, Mikelah spent the majority of her life as a youth in one form of foster care or another, though she managed to avoid juvenile detention. Not known as the strongest of the pack, she easily engendered sympathy in others, which contributed in no small part to her survival.
At sixteen, she joined her foster brother in a bid for freedom, hitchhiking across Southern Ontario until they settled in Scarborough. Here, they discovered a nest of children roughly their own age, pooling skills and resources in order to survive. This is when the first stepping stones of petty theft made themselves known. After the first year, the group discovered a condemned home, all twelve children transplanting from the old railway bridge to the rundown duplex.
For a further year, minor shoplifting, steady appearances at soup kitchens and shelters along with the periodic fortuitous discovery made life as comfortable as it could be for the teens who weren’t picked up on a slew of minor crimes and misdemeanors, until half their number remained. That was when Gerrard made his appearance.
At twenty two, Gerrard made an impression on sixteen-year-old Mike, taking her underwing and teaching her a slew of skills from the stealth-related, subterfuge, lockpicking, hotwiring and other low-end theft support skills. For six months, they systematically traveled through suburban neighbourhoods, often in stolen cars, breaking into empty homes and carrying off anything of value in order to pawn them.
With such a lack of experience, Mike never noticed that the money being paid out on food, clothing and shelter was significantly less than was being made on these excursions. This reality didn’t occur to her until the night some acquaintances of Gerrard’s came looking for him, only to find Mike and two other teenaged girls instead. After demanding to know of his whereabouts and not finding him, the men held confined and raped the girls for almost forty-eight hours.
When Gerrard returned and discovered the proceedings, he began to bargain with the men. Seeking to make an escape, Mike shoved Gerrard into the nearest of her captors and turned to flee – never realizing her force sent the two men through a half-rotten wall and down two stories onto the rusted cast-iron fence below. The remaining captors fled, leaving the three girls to be discovered with the bodies a short time later, panicked and disorderly.
Given the nature of their records and the crimes in question, all three were tried as adults despite only Mike being above the age of majority. Since sexual assault could not be proven and there were no supporting witnesses to any of the young women and the abundance of witnesses against, the trial was brought to a hasty conclusion, sending the three of them into holding. Sentences of only a few years faced the other two, however, upon discovering she was pregnant, one of the girls killed herself, while the other was lost to the system.
Shortly after sentencing, Mike was framed for a particularly vicious beating of two other prisoners, one of which resulted in death, landing Mike with an overall sentence expectation of thirty years, given her history and prior convictions. Soon becoming a loner, she fell to relative isolation and was determined to serve out her sentence in a survivor’s silence until the Exodus Initiative offered the chance to start over, to have her own space and retreat from human contact. A highly damaged and well-manipulated psyche has led to a masochistic, oddly timid individual who would rather not fight to survive unless absolutely necessary.
Character skill set: Stealth, speed, and dexterity make Mike a sneaky individual. She is highly resourceful, able to use abstract applications for various materials and tools to achieve her ends. She can survive for long periods of time on little to no food, is highly versatile with a steel stomach, able to digest foods that most would become sick from ingesting.

Player’s offs: Vore/Scat/Gore, unnecessary/unhelpful violence (violence just because), non-sexual pain/torture, unrealistic anatomy (I don’t think this will come up, but I swear, every third character has a fifteen-inch tool, and frankly, I don’t know anyone with that kind of space to spare).
