Blydad: Son I need you to make me a playlist on the Youtubes
Me: Youtube, singular.
Blydad: Yes, the Youtubes
Me: What do you want on it?
Blydad: Moody Blues, their song 'Nights in White Satin.' I miss that song.
Me: What else?
Blydad: Just lots of that. I need a playlist that lets me listen to the same song lots of times over and over again.
Me: Right click the video and hit 'loop,' and bam, instant repeat.
Blydad: Excellent. If I can't listen to a song three hundred times in a row, what is the point in even having a favorite song?

I do that now and then when a song grabs me by the throat and won't let go.

I don't. I consciously decide to play a song over and over again, clicking each time. >.>

That way I at least feel like I have a semblance of control.

I might be guilty of this for the same reason.

I have a very very short playlist (not actually collated) that YouTube knows and will recommend to me every time.

I can't imagine liking a song enough to listen to it anywhere near that often.  Even if I just have it on in the background, it starts to bother me after a while.  Like, "This song should be over.  Why is it still playing?"  I think I get that way if similar-sounding songs are played close enough together, too.

Video game music I can tolerate if I'm actually playing the game.  That's how they're designed.  If I let it sit on a menu or pause screen, though, it gets annoying after a while.

I no longer feel quite so weird for doing this. XD Though, yes, I mostly do it manually myself. In fact, after reading this, I listened to Black Velvet yet again.
