Emotional Intelligence -- How Well Can You Read Faces?

While randomly hopping from link to link, I discovered this emotional intelligence quiz and thought it was interesting.

How well did you do? I scored 13/20, which the quiz suggests was around an average score.

The one that threw me off the most was 'politeness.' I thought that she looked happy. Then again, I've always struggled to tell the difference between a polite smile and a sincere one. ^^

Some were easy others I always started to doubt between two possible answers.

I managed 17 out of 20.  There were a few that were guesses and some pictures that I thought were either unrealistic or exaggerated.

Exactly like BeMi, I got all pains wrong, still scored 16/20. I think the other two I got wrong were also negative emotions, wonder what does that mean? ;D

I got 15/20. I really had a problem recognizing shame! Maybe because I'm shameless...lol Plus, I felt that many of those expressions were forced and not particularly realistic.

The test is not the greatest. There's a lot of exaggeration as others have said, but a lot of the answers tend to overlap in the human brain space. Like compassion and sadness, a really empathetic person might look at that and pick sadness when the answer's compassion because when you show compassion you're showing empathy. Fun test, but I think if it were better I'd score higher than 12/20.

I got a 27/36 on that one. A few were tricky and 1 was hard for me to read as, thanks to the shadows, I could really only see 1 eye.
