Jotaro Kujo
Current Occupation: Marine Biologist
Home World Information: Jotaro is from Earth, in the early nineties. It is virtually the same as our own Earth, save for the existence of Stands.
Appearance/Style Description: Jotaro is a tall (195 cm/6'5"), handsome and well-built man. He has dark hair, a strong jaw, bold eyebrows, and light eyes.
His trademarks are a visored, ornamented cap, torn at the back and blending with his hair, and a black, roughly mid-calf-length coat with a standing collar and chains attached.
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Personality: - Jotaro is introduced as rather rough and delinquent; but he is dedicated, fair, and loyal. He is highly perceptive, intelligent and quick-witted while keeping a perpetually cool, slightly neutral or disinterested attitude.
Jotaro loves his mother and respects his grandfather, although he may not be overt about displaying it. It is not that he is unaware of his own love and/or respect - rather, he thinks anyone can tell his emotions just by looking at him, and probably thinks further effort in portraying how he feels to be a waste of time, making others tend to perceive Jotaro as a very aloof and callous person when he is in reality caring and reverent.
Jotaro is as fierce as he is gentle, as he will fight with an unreal brutality, but in victory, will almost always be willing to spare anyone, unless he deems them too much of a threat to be allowed to live(ex., Dio).
History: - Jotaro’s story began back when he was a young man, at the age of 17 who lived with his mother in Japan. He had been a troubled youth, and looked down on upon society for his disrespectful attitude. Despite that though, he did well in school, and was well liked by many of the girls in his school. Everything changed though, when the vampire Dio, his family’s ancient enemy, returned from his slumber at the bottom of the ocean.
Dio, in a quest for power, awakened mystical beings known as Stands, across the world, including Jotaro’s and his family’s. That was when he finally met Star Platinum. However, his mother on the other hand, suffered because of it. Her spirit wasn’t strong enough to control her stand, and it began eating away at her, slowly killing her. In order to save his mother, Jotaro would have to battle a reawakened Dio, who like him, wielded an unimaginable amount of power.
He took up the challenge of course, and with comrades as well, including an Egyptian fortune-teller, Jotaro’s grandfather, a fellow Japanese student, a Frenchman seeking vengeance, and even a dog. Together, they travelled to Cairo, facing many other Stand-Users on their quest, to ultimately fight Dio. In the final confrontation, Dio and Jotaro faced off. It was a close match, but after Jotaro’s discovery of the Time Stop, he was able to defeat Dio, and save not only his mother, but the rest of the modern world as well.
The journey had taken weeks, and not everyone survived, but they finally did it. With that, Jotaro went his own way, hoping to live out the rest of his life in relative peace.
Current Situation: - Jotaro had been researching the Atlantic ocean for three weeks then, at the request of the Speedwagon Foundation. They had reported some unusual seismic activity coming from the bottom of the ocean. What was bizarre about it, was the fact that the activity was centralized only to a square mile radius, affecting only one sensor, off the coast of a remote island.
He had been considering putting on a scuba-suit, to go down and investigate the wildlife for some clues to the disturbance, when it happened; a rift in the waves, as though Moses himself had come to ruin Jotaro’s day. The depths of the ocean seemed to open, like a gaping maw, and within a moment, JoJo’s little boat was free-falling, deep into the chasm below.
He awoke later, coughing and gasping for breath. His bones and muscles felt as though they had been torn apart and put together again. He found himself in a strange new world, with a people that didn’t know him. It seemed as though he was taken from his world, and now he only had one option left to him. Find out what happened, and make it back home... if there was even a home to go back to.
Weapon: - Star Platinum, Jotaro’s Stand. Stands are spiritual images of their users, given physical form in our dimension. A stand’s appearance, powers, and even their personality all reflect their users soul, as a means of projecting their will onto the world around them.
Stats -
Strength - 3
Agility - 1
Stamina - 1
Power - 3
Reputation - 0
Special Powers:Star Finger - Star Platinum can extend his index and middle fingers up to a meter, shooting it with the force of a bullet. A minor ability, but it’s always something he keeps up his sleeve, as a sneak attack to catch his opponents off-guard.
Self-Preservation - Just because Jotaro is down, that doesn’t mean Star Platinum is down as well. Star Platinum will actively defend Jotaro, without any command from his human master.
Star Platinum: The World - This is Jotaro’s #1 weapon; the time-stop. He discovered this incredible power in his fight against Dio. He is capable of stopping time for a maximum of five seconds(in his frame of reference) and move around in it. He can use this to move other objects and people around him, and even inflict thousands of punches on his enemy, before they even know what happened. This power is exhuastin however, and can only be used for a maximum of two times, maybe three if he doesn’t go the full five seconds.
Strengths: Super Speed and Strength - Star Platinum is an incredibly deadly close-range fighter, capable of throwing a thousand punches in a matter of seconds. Jotaro’s stand has punched its way through stone, steel, and even artificial diamond.
Superior Reflexes - Star Platinum’s sight, and other senses, are much stronger than the average human’s, to the point that he was able to catch a bullet fired at point blank range.
Intelligence - Jotaro, while not a particularly knowledgable person, is an extremely clever fighter, capable of turning any situation to his advantage. While powerful, Star Platinum is not as versatile as Jotaro would like, so he needs to always be on his feet.
Cool Demeanor - Jotaro, as part of his personality, never expresses any real emotions, both in and out of battle. He knows how to keep a level head.
Weaknesses: Range - Star Platinum is a close-range stand, meaning he can only move within two meters of Jotaro. This means that if he is fighting a long-range combatant, there is little he can do, aside from the Star Finger, which can be shot an extra two meters.
Shared Pain - Star Platinum, after leaving Jotaro’s version of Earth, is now visible, and tangible, to anyone with eyes. He can be attacked, and any wounds inflicted on Star Platinum are inflicted on Jotaro as well. If Star Platinum were to be killed, then Jotaro would die as well.
Spirit Strain - Jotaro’s powers are only as strong as his body, and will. The more injuries inflicted on Jotaro, the weaker Star Platinum becomes. In short, the longer the fight goes on, the weaker Jotaro becomes.
The Time Stop - Jotaro’s most powerful weapon has the capability of killing him as well. As a human, it is incredibly straining on his body to stop time for even five seconds. Every clock-stop is extremely exhausting, to the point that he could pass out with repeated use. He can perform the time stop a maximum of two times, before he is forced to stop.
Lack of Weapons - When it comes down to it, Jotaro isn’t much stronger than any other human. Aside from his intelligence, and individual strength, all the power is his stand’s. If Star Platinum were to be separated from Jotaro, or suppressed with magic, he’d be relatively defenseless against any other enemy in this new, crazy world.
