Levant Nagi
Current Occupation: Musician. Many had forgotten the way of the cocoon masters, the powers they held in their music, and the strength they took from the earth, beasts and gods to rule over the land. And so he had taken the talents he knew, not in battle, but in art, to the people who had forgotten. To earn enough coin to live his unaging life onwards.
Home World Information: The home world of Levant began when the god of forest, the god of all life on Elron created divine beasts and sent them upon the land. These divine beasts brought live to the vast, green forests of the world. First by beast, and then by man, the beast of knowledge. A prophecy was spoken by the god of the forest, speaking of a promise that no divine beast shall sin themselves with the beast of knowledge, or great tradegy will befall them.
But one day, a divine fell for a women, and from them spawn a new power. A goddess of sewing souls...Breaking their promise the beasts were stripped of their powers and sent upon the world. And the beasts of man were cursed, cursed with the knowledge, and power of this new divinity. And by the beasts that feared it upon the world. Humanity now lived in small villages, fearing the day demons would attack and put them into slumber due to the curse. While cocoon masters, those that could capture and tame the beasts, that could sooth their angered souls through their nagi brides and use them to defend against the very curse that had befallen their kind.
Appearance/Style Description: In the times that have passed he has grown, no longer does he look exactly the young man he had been upon his wedding day. The day where everything changed for him...now, his chin is covered in a soft brush of stubble. His hair is longer, curly and gently flowing. His height hadn't changed, which he will grumble about, considering he was the same height as his wife before. Leaving him around 5'7, which was rather short for a man.
His attire had changed as well, loosing the banana he used to always wear, and beginning to dress in clothes that were more traditional and plain than the festival and bright colours he had been so used to. But while that was what he appeared like, the truth was he was simply styling the divine garb he had gained from his orignal journey to fit the clothing of those he lived around. Usually fashioned into some kind of robe, jacket, or shirt. Thankfully the garb itself was divine, as a little alteration never lost any of its properties.
Sexuality: Straight. He has only ever been in one relationship in his life, his since passed wife Mahbu. Which suffered the brandings to sooth the spirits and souls of the beasts he caught and use their power...He had loved her. quite dearly. But brandings took their toil on her spirit. And then she too, became a creature of the forest. A place he couldn't ever truly become, despite his form seeming to cease its ability to age.((No scat, watersports or vore.))
Personality: This protagonist is one of the fabled 'silent types'. One not knowing for their speech, their general charisma, but instead for their sheer determination to get the job done once they have put their mind to a task. This man showed that in his youth, even as he lost everyone he cared for, with everything he had been fighting for turning out to be pointless. He had still pressed on, refusing to quit until he had saved everyone.
But he had another side of him. A lover of music, of song, a man who cared dearly for the creatures he fought alongside with. And for the people who were so dependant on him to save them. He did not stay his blade when he had no choice, no, in fact many times he would cut down the demons, the angered spirits of the forest with the many weapons he forced himself to learn on his journey. But when he could capture, when he could save the soul of one of these creatures...he would.
History: Levant was the son of a Nagi women, his mother Phio, and a Cocoon master, Riketz..a man who vanished into the forest and had never returned. He grew up, training himself in the weapons he could. Knowing he would one day have to take on the role of a cocoon master himself, even without the formal training his father could of given him. Nightmares haunted him as the days grew closer, and closer to the festival that would mark him the cocoon master of his village, the village of Syrus, but he pressed on. Even as the spirit, the cocoon master that had given up his humanity mocked the man, the father of his and himself. Even as his minion, creatures he had not ever seen before crushed him in fire. Turning his nights into terror.
But he never showed it. Keeping a brave face on for his people as the days grew closer. And then the day came, the day he would marry his childhood friend, Mahbu, the Naji child and official take on the role he had been trained for his entire life...but tragedy struck. Demons came from the forest and attacked the village, destroying the watch tower and causing all the villagers to fall into a unnatural slumber. The curse of the god of the forest coming to claim them. But Garai, the Nagi elder was able to push it away before the power took everyone. Leading to the marriage of the two to become rushed and for him to be sent out to the forest to find a cure.
With Mahbu aid, the aid of other cocoon masters, of spirits within the forest, and the many minions he captured to help him in battle he was able to complete his task. Even finding his father, but the council, the council back home had grown weary. Panicked as the cure was taking so long. And more of their people succumbed to the slumber of the forest. They took the elder, Garai, grand mother of his wife and the one that defended their very city from complete annihilation....And scarified her. Scarified her to the goddess of sewn souls, believing she was an descendent..but the truth was much worse of the beasts of knowledge. She was the goddess herself, in human form to try and protect them all. By sacrificing her a much worse curse fell over them all. Turning the villages people to stone. As well as all the others. Mankind, all...but Levant, protected by the very forest the people feared, were stone.
But levant, he didn't give up, even though everything he had known was gone. He went to the deepest, most dangerous part of the forest. Risking everything to save his village..to save his mother, to save Mahbu..and he did it. He did it at a cost. His own humanity. He could not return to the village. Even though he saved it, even though everyone had returned back to what they were and awoken. He could not return....just like his father. His wife visited, but time took the toil of all things. And soon, the constant visits, and the brandings of Nagi she had suffered to sooth the souls of the beasts he had captured took her. Claiming her as part of the forest, she was no longer human. Instead a spirit, a fae, reborn into a new life. A friend instead of a lover.
He learned from the spirit his wife had become, the ways of the Nagi women, so he could sooth the souls of beasts himself. Even as the ways of the cocoon masters were lost..and new ways, the ways of the beast masters took root. He remained, a relic of the old ways. Hidden in plain sight within the woods. A generous quiet youth who's music soothed the hearts of those that heard it.
Hundreds of years had passed. When a new threat, a greater threat arose. Coming from the sky, from the heavens. Monsters, humans twisted by evil, demons and devils alike coming for the world in a force. But with the power of the spirits, the old, the new, and the strange. A barrier was erected, the spirits turning Levant into the very source of the barrier that protected their world. The key...that allowed those to enter, and leave. Safe for now, the threat remained, unable to pierce the power that protected the world...
But levant wasn't ever one to sit idly by while a threat was aimed towards his home...
Current Situation: Levant is following the music, the whispers of the spirits. Letting the great and old ones guide his path from world to world as he sought out that which threatened his people. Gaining new tools, new weapons that allowed him to fight to protect those he cared for. He played, keeping the façade of a simple man with a smile as he travelled. Knowing none of these people knew the ways of his home, of his village. And that he was the last of his kind.
Weapon: He had be led by a women with a golden mane to a lake, a women who vanished like stardust as his eyes turned from her. Female hands rose from the lake, presenting a blade to him. A blade he still did not know the truth strength of. But he could wield it..It was a strong blade, a blade that glistened with life and power. The name of the blade whispered through the wind to him....Excalibur...the blade of a fallen king...
Secondary Weapons:Flute of Capture: Enables him to play his music to seal, capture, and summon beasts, monsters, and spirits to aide him.
'Homeworlds-Axe': A special kind of axe that was strange in shape and use, with the handle being in the middle of the axe blade and two covered handles on the tips on either side. It was unusual enough that those without practice in it could easily end up cutting themselves instead of wielding it.
'Homeworlds Spear': The spear itself did not end in a point, it instead it was more of a blade, flat, and sharpened into a curve. With the butt end of the spear holding a sharpened tip of somekind of material from his home to be used in stabbing. The weight was quite different from a normal spears, and getting into practice of switching from slashing to stabbing could be tricky as well.
'Knife': A simple knife, there is truly nothing special about it beside the strange design to the blade and handle. It was however the weapon his mother, Phio, had given to him before she had fallen into slumber. And the last time he saw her. So it held quite a bit of sentimental value.
StatsStrength - 1
Agility - 2
Stamina - 2
Power - 3
Reputation - 0
Special Powers: Cocoon Master: Able to seal, summon, and capture creatures to battle by his side which have powers of their own. Each tied to a different element that were connected to the earth. Earth, Wind, Water, fire, and Life. [Augment - Once per post]
Nagi Knowledge: Able to sooth the souls of beasts, to take their burdens onto themselves and to brand themselves to merge demons, beasts, and creatures. Taming them, changing them, and empowering them. [Augment - Once per scene]
Prophecy bound and Blessed: Bound by prophecy he is able to harness and break the limits that his body should not be able to surpass. Reaching the realms of the very monsters, the demons the gods had Prophesied him to save. He is unknowing of any prophecy other lands may of tied to his flesh and soul besides that of his own world.
Strengths: Master of Weaponry: He is able to wield and use almost any weapon upon holding it through nothing but instinct. 'Almost' being the key to this. As weapons such as guns, weapons that simply do not exist on his worlds could never be wielded effectively by instinct alone.
Enhanced senses: He is able to sense, and predict where he is going to be attacked and what by. From a combination of Naji teachings and the blessing that his former wife poured into his flesh through items she had gifted to him. This makes it very difficult to surprise him, which is extremely important for a world covered in hostile creatures that would see him dead should he let his guard down.
Musical Mastermind: Due to how spiritually tied music is to his powers and his abilities he is able to create the most dazzling tunes that can lighten the mood of any room and entrance the hearts of the listeners.
Wildlife-Forlife. His entire plant is covered in plants, beasts, demons and minions. He knows the ins and outs of what plants are poisonousness, how to survive in hostile territory, with nothing but a knife to gather food and water and protect himself. He is a survivalist through and through.
Weaknesses: Uncivilised.: From a world where spirits, gods, and little humanity exists he is more of a strange, uneducated and strangely spoke being in a more current world. He does not understand technology, the ways of law, of the more advanced and highly educated worlds. And likely never will.
Nagi faults: For each use of the Nagi powers he takes another step away from humanity. But unlike his wife he does not have the blood of a goddess in his veins to turn him into a holy spirit of the forest. Even he does not know how he is changing and how the powers effect his body when he sooth's a soul, merges creatures together, and changes them at their core. Using a power of a god without the blood of one could have many effects...
Summoner fault: He is a summoner, a being that fights along his monsters, his beasts and demons to crush his foes. He is not used to solely taking the battle alone, originally he had, but one hundred years of habit can lead to many bad habits that can effect ones judgement when it comes to combat.
[Extra part on the minions he currently has. Thought I'd just give him two. Two that have been with him since the start and changed over time by merging with other beasts. ]

Little Lore Bit. For me and the GM's. As I am bound to forget.Gods:
Dragon God Kemuel, the god of Light and Darkness who was split into two pieces by the Gehena, the ancient civilization that once ruled over the land and brought the curse upon the human race by splitting the god. Levant, was the half of the light, making him the chosen of light. And his father held the darkness. Making him the chosen of Darkness. Together they united the two halves, reviving the god, purifying the darkness from the divine beasts and freeing the Nagi people of their curse.(Their power). However - What doesn't get revealed until Jade Cocoon two, is that Levant becomes that dragon god. As its whole soul now resides within him. He actually ends up falling to darkness and becoming twisted by his god powers later on in that game, becoming the villain. For plot convenience I have made it so Levant doesn't know he is in essence a god now. I want to keep him humble, even if in the second game he is still humble knowing.
Elrhim, god of the Forest and Life. The main god that governs the world, and the one that cursed humans to fall due to their destructive nature as beasts of knowledge. Until Levant broke the curse and calmed Elrhim. The Onibubu, the locusts of the apocalypse are the orignal source of the curse the god of life send upon humans. For all who came across them were put into a sleep that left their souls wondering the dream world, unable to return to their bodies. Which only the herb found at the feet of the God Tree can cure.((What originally set him off is a whole other tale. Which I will note down later!))
Azura, goddess of Death and Spinner of souls. The origin of the Nagi, the offspring of the divine spirits and the beasts of knowledge. The one Ganrai, the elder of the Nagi is the incarnation of. Just like Levant was the Incarnation of the dragon gods side of light. And became his incarnation as a whole upon defeating his father and playing the Melody of souls that purified the land and set his soul free.
Lore Stories:
Legend of Alcana.
This is the tale of the kingdom of Gehena Pale that stretched along the land long ago. Once upon a time, Prince Menek, son of King Karis, set out with his vassals to hunt in the forest. But in the forest, they were enveloped by a thick fog, and the Prince lost his way. Wandering aimlessly about, he happened upon a marsh that grew an enormous tree. Thereupon he heard the sound of sobbing, but he knew not from where. He found a maiden sitting all alone. She was weeping by the marsh.
"I am Alcana, I just buried my mother here in the marsh of Udan" She said.
And then she looked up at the Prince. He was overwhelmed by her beautiful eyes. The maiden stole his heart that day. It was truly a fateful meeting. Thereafter, the Prince made frequent trips into the forest. Undoubtedly, he was paying visits to the maiden. The Maiden had a strange power...she could talk to the insects, and the trees....Before long, there began a terrible rumor that the Prince’s heart had been stolen by a witch...
One day, the Maiden spun silk from fairy cocoons and wove it into beautiful cloth for the king. But the brilliance of that cloth cast a shadow upon the Kingdom. The King was so enthralled by the fairy silk that he send his soldiers into the forest where they ravaged for fairy cocoons. The fairies, still in their cocoons, were boiled alive. The king killed them so he could have their silk. The prince pleaded with his father to stop this cruelty, but the king was no longer the man he once was. Prince Menek was charged with treason and imprisoned in the King’s deepest dungeon. He was never heard from again. When the maiden learned of the Prince’s death, she cursed her fate and lamented the foolishness of Man. She then cast herself away, in the marsh her mother lay. As she started to drown, a voice from nowhere whispered to her.
"I am Elrihm, I shall grant you your wish. Tell me what you want" Said the Voice.
The Maiden told Elrihm all that weighted upon her heart. The maiden said, “ Greed bears destructive knowledge. Its wicked power shall be the end of the forest. All hope is lost. The beasts of knowledge shall never live in peace with the forest. The one light of hope who I so loved has perished at the hands of the beasts... I now go to where my love Menek awaits.” Thereupon Elrihm spoke again...
"So you claim that your true love was torn asunder by the greed and hatred of beasts of knowledge? When light is swallowed up by darkness, I shall unleash ruin upon the land, returning all to the nothingness from whence it came. I have a firm grip on the darkness in your heart." From that day forward, demons appeared in the forest, terrifying all they came upon. And the kingdom of Gehena Pale fell to ruin by the swarms of Onibubu, locusts of apocalypse. The demons that haunt the forest now are the beasts spawned by the greed in Man’s heart...
Story of the Bird Man:
While this would normally be a rather dull tale of a woodcutter who fought the bird man who slumbered under the Divine Tree, the incarnation of Elrhim. I think the story of what the Bird Man, or rather who he was is a much more interesting tale. So I shall share that instead.
Kikinak, a bird spirit who loves adventure, freedom, and women more than all else was once known as the Divine spirit Amos. The orignal creator of the beasts of knowledge. The one who shaped their bodies to resemble their own.
Tale of the Forest Man:
Once upon a time, this forest was a paradise for the divine spirits that served Elrhim. The Forest People are the incarnation of Mamon, the divine spirit of knowledge. When the divine spirits created man, it was Mamon who bestowed knowledge to them. But man used his knowledge for the pursuit of ruin. In the end, Gehena Pale was destroyed because Man aroused Elrihm’s wrath. Bestowing knowledge upon man troubled Mamon greatly. In order to prevent the mortals from causing further destruction, to this day he lives in the forest protecting it from the foolish ways of man.
However, what is not part of this story. And what is not well known is that Mamon became the beast of greed himself. And his children, his incarnations, the Yamu, the forest people are the essence of that greed. ((And I think Yami, the youngest and littlest spirit is adorable~))
The only other tale is of the Prophet Gi, who spoke of a chosen one who would bring the dragons of light and dark before the divine tree that would save them from their accursed fate. And that is all there is to it~
