People who can get into costumes that don't even have zippers can do anything they want.  ;) Okay, so here her costume does have a zipper, but how canon is that for most (any?) superheroes you can think of?

Joking about silly videos aside, I should post a profile for Rachel, I suppose.

CHARACTER NAME: Phoenix
REAL NAME: Rachel "Ray" Summers
AGE: 22
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
HEIGHT: 5'7"
WEIGHT: 125lbs
AFFILIATION: Excalibur (founding member), formerly X-Men
FACE CLAIM: Bryce Dallas Howard
APPEARANCE:

POWERS/ABILITIES: Rachel inherited both powerful telepathic and telekinetic abilities from her mother. As a telepath she is capable of reading minds, projecting her thoughts into the minds of others, linking several people together in telepathic communication, creating illusions by affecting what people believe to see, and firing mental blasts that can stun or cause pain. Her telekinetic abilities allow her to lift great loads, levitate and fly, create force fields and concussive blasts, and manipulate matter on a molecular level. Rachel is also capable of projecting her own mind or that of others into the time stream and to past or future realities where the consciousness of the traveler will either occupy the body of a close relative / alternate self or exist on the local astral plane.

In addition to her natural gifts, Rachel is the living embodiment of the Phoenix Force, allowing her to tap into a vast reservoir of cosmic power to enhance her already considerable mutant gifts. Drawing on the Phoenix Force, Rachel is (for example) capable of projecting not just her mind but her physical body through the time stream, survive and travel in the vacuum of space, and make the flight across the Atlantic in less than ten minutes (somewhere up of Mach 30).

On top of that, Rachel would be able to perform feats of truly cosmic proportions, if she decided to tap into the full potential of the Phoenix Force. The Phoenix itself is a tremendously powerful force, providing a huge reservoir of power, but the Phoenix also represents the lifeforce of the whole cosmos, including life yet to be born. Drawing on this yet-unrealized life force, Rachel could destroy the solar system with but a thought or stand up to the likes of Galactus (which the Phoenix has done a few times). But doing so would extinguish life that waits to be born, rob the cosmos of something that was supposed to be there, extinguish billions of potential lives. This is something she is unwilling to do, knowing full well the potential for destruction the Phoenix Force holds.

WEAKNESSES: After her time as a Hound under Ahab's control in her home reality, Rachel suffers from survivor's guilt, sometimes questioning why she, of all people, should have survived the ordeals of her native reality.
While Rachel is aware that Scott and Jean of Earth 616 are not her real parents, she very much feels like their daughter. A threat against her 'parents' (especially Jean) could be used against her.

HISTORY: Rachel is the daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey in another reality. She grew up in that world with the X-Men as her family, till the day Sentinels took over North America and killed most mutants. Rachel was captured and submitted to intense brainwashing and conditioning that turned her into a "Hound", a tracker used to hunt down (and occasionally kill) other mutants. But the conditioning didn't hold forever and after attacking the Hound Master, Ahab, Rachel was confined to a mutant concentration camp where she met Kate Pryde, an older version of Earth-616's Shadowcat. Together they hatched a plan for Rachel to send Kate's mind back into her younger self, to change the future, but when Kate returned, everything was the same (as she had traveled back not just into the past but also another reality). Trying to find out what had gone wrong, Rachel projected her own consciousness into the past. There the Phoenix found her and latched on to her before she traveled back into her own reality. When the Phoenix revealed itself to Kate Pryde, Kate begged it to help Rachel to a better life and the Phoenix agreed. During an assault on the Sentinel's headquarters by Kate and Rachel, Phoenix supercharged Rachel's powers and sent her back through time and reality to Earth 616, in the process suppressing some of her worst memories, to protect the young woman from her own past.

On Earth 616 Rachel ended up joining the X-Men for a time and became friends with that reality's Shadowcat, while her relationship with her "mother", Jean Grey, was somewhat strained (something for which Rachel still blames herself). (At the time the X-Men consisted of Rogue, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Wolverine, and Storm.)

After some adventures with the X-Men, Rachel was captured by Mojo, who tried his best to brainwash her into being the next star attraction in one of his many shows, but Rachel managed to eventually overcome her conditioning, and, after six months in Mojoworld, managed to escape to Earth. There she ran into old friends Shadowcat and Nightcrawler, together with Captain Britain and Meggan. Together they defeated the warwolves Mojo had sent after her. After their victory Rachel propose the five of them form a new team to keep Charles Xavier's dream alive (as everyone then believed the X-Men had perished in a battle against the Adversary), and so Excalibur was born. At this point some of her memories of her home reality and Mojoworld were clouded, suppressed by the Phoenix for her own good, and her control over the Phoenix Force not always reliable. During her adventures with Excalibur Rachel eventually revealed her history to Jean Grey and Cyclops, leading to a strained relationship with Jean.

After several adventures with her new teammates, Rachel fought the ancient sorcerer Necrom, who had been trying to claim the Phoenix Force for himself since the Phoenix first attained sentience. After a hard-fought battle she defeated Necrom, but that victory cost her her own consciousness and shattered her mind and soul. The Phoenix, now bonded to Rachel stronger than ever, took her body into the far reaches of space, to give her mind time to heal and pull itself together. (At this point Charles Xavier tried to delve into her mind to see what was wrong with Rachel and, in a mind link established by Professor X, the Phoenix revealed herself and her full history to the Professor, Jean Grey, and Rachel's fellow founding members of Excalibur, i.e. Kurt, Kitty, Brian, Meggan, Charles, and Jean know all there is to know about Rachel's history up to that point.)

Eventually she was restored to full mental health and the spirit of the Phoenix left her, to resume its place as the embodiment of a natural force in the cosmic order of things, but leaving the raw power of the Phoenix Force still bonded to Rachel's body. At the same time the Phoenix also restored all the memories it had clouded or hidden from Rachel, for the first time in years leaving her very much her own true self.

Returning to her friends in Excalibur Rachel embraced the name Phoenix with all her heart and changed her costume to the red and gold one once worn by the Dark Phoenix, for (in her own words) "Green is really not my color. And you've got to admit, the Dark Phoenix may have been a threat to all life in the universe, but she had great taste in costumes".

PERSONALITY: Rachel can be both serious and fun-loving. While she doesn't suffer from frequent mood swings, she is prone to strong moods, both positive and negative. She can be playful, cocky, exuberant, but also withdrawn, blue, and serious. Her mind is very much her own, without any traces of false memories or past conditioning, but she has still to find herself, perhaps exactly because her mind has not always been completely her own for years. But one way or the other, Rachel is a firm believer in Xavier's dream of coexistence of humans and mutants.

EQUIPMENT: Nothing special.

KNOWN ENEMIES: Mojo (but the ugly slimeball hasn't made an attempt to get her back to his world in a while so perhaps he has lost interest). Various people and groups who might hold a grudge against the Phoenix Force. Excalibur's "rogues gallery", if only by association. (Arcade, Merlin (sometimes ally, sometimes manipulator, sometimes antagonist), Sat-Yr-9, among others)

RELATION WITH 'FAMILY' MEMBERS:
While not related to her in the strictest sense (Rachel being from an alternate timeline and all that jazz), there are people in this world that could be considered her family. (What follows can and will be edited as time goes by, depending on which character is in play and talk with their players.)

Cyclops: Good question. I have no real clue how he feels about Rachel, but he seems more focused on Nathan than his 'pseudo daughter' from all I can tell.

Jean Grey: When Jean learned that Rachel could be her daughter she instinctively rejected the girl, feeling that the existence of Rachel meant her own future was preordained. Eventually she realized that, by pushing Rachel away, she was making her own problems that of her 'daughter' and accepted her as her child, going as far as making her one of the very first people she told about her planned wedding with Scott. (Excalibur #74 – which is in the future of our current timeline, but it might give an indication where this could be going)

Cable / Nathan Grey: Rachel has a strong psychic bond with her half-brother Nathan, making her one of the very few telepaths who can connect with Cable and sense his presence. She feels that she should know Cable, but has not yet made the connection that he is an older version of baby Nathan.

Collosus
REAL NAME: Piotr Rasputin
AGE: 22
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
HEIGHT: 6'6" Normal, 7'5" Armored
WEIGHT: 250lbs Normal, 500lbs Armored
AFFILIATION: XMen
FACE CLAIM: Daniel Cudmore
APPEARANCE:

POWERS/ABILITIES:

Organic Steel Form: Colossus is a mutant with the superhuman ability to convert the tissue of his entire body into an organic steel-like substance. This substance resembling steel is of unknown composition but appears to be analogous to osmium and to carbon steel. He is able to transform into this armor-like state at will (the process is virtually instantaneous) and remain in that form for an as yet undetermined amount of time. (The longest time he has remained in armored form by choice so far has been five days). Once in his armored form he remains so until he consciously wills himself back to normal. If he is rendered unconscious, however, he spontaneously reverts to his normal form.

While in the armored state, Colossus possesses the same degree of mobility that he does in his normal form. The conversion from flesh and bone to organic steel is accomplished by a psionic whole-brain interface with an ionic form of osmium, an extremely dense metal, located in another dimension. In willing the act of transformation, Colossus actually exchanges osmium atoms for his carbon atoms. The psionic interface with the other dimension re-creates all of Colossus's body in functionally similar organic ionic-osmium materials. The process by which Colossus gains additional mass from an unknown, perhaps extra-dimensional, force remains unknown. Colossus cannot become partially or selectively armored; his body is either entirely converted or not.

Superhuman Strength: After transforming into his armored state, Colossus possesses vast superhuman strength. As a teenager, he was sufficiently strong enough to be listed as a class 70. (This scale is only for comparisons between characters, and should not remotely be taken literally). However, as a fully mature adult, his strength has increased to the point that he is listed at exactly class 100. Class 100 strength means he's capable of lifting in excess of 100 tons.

Superhuman Stamina: Also, while in armored form, Colossus' musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins than the musculature of a normal human. At his peak, he can physically exert himself at peak capacity for several days before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.

Superhuman Durability: In his armored form Colossus is invulnerable to most forms of bodily harm. His armor is capable of withstanding ballistic penetration, including that of a 155 millimeter Howitzer shell. He can survive extremes of temperature from 70 degrees above absolute zero (-390 degrees Fahrenheit) to approximately 9000 degrees Fahrenheit. He can survive a collision with a loaded, ten-ton flatbed truck at 100 miles per hour or an explosion of 4500 pounds of TNT. He can also survive falls from great heights while in his armored body.

Skilled Painter: Peter is a highly skilled and talented artista.

Expert Combatant: Even though Peter has a gentle demeanor and personality, he is a skilled hand to hand combatant. He has also honed himself through years of combat training within the X-Men's Danger Room.

WEAKNESSES:
Just like all metal in the Marvel universe, Colossus's metal skin is vulnerable to the anti-metal Vibranium. Colossus instinctively turns back into his normal form when he comes into contact with something made of Vibranium. He can also be damaged when he is attacked by something made from or bonded with a stronger material (e.g. Wolverine's Adamantium bonded claws).

HISTORY:
Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin (Russian: Пётр "Питер" Николаевич Распутин) was born on the Soviet collective farm, called the Ust-Ordynski Collective, near Lake Baikal in Siberia. Piotr loved his brother, the famous cosmonaut Mikhail Rasputin, and his younger sister, Illyana Rasputin and would pass the time drawing or painting, as he was also a great artist. Piotr's superhuman powers emerged in adolescence. At first, Rasputin was content simply to use these powers to aid the other people of the Collective.

However, Rasputin was contacted by Professor Charles Xavier, founder of the X-Men, when Professor Xavier was organizing a new team of mutant X-Men to help him rescue the original X-Men from the sentient island of Krakoa. Rasputin agreed to leave the farm community in which he was born and raised to go to America with Prof. Xavier at his School for Gifted Youngsters. Prof. Xavier gave Rasputin the code name "Colossus" and Rasputin aided Prof. Xavier's other new recruits in their battle against Krakoa. After the battle was won, most of the original X-Men left the team. Rasputin remained in the United States with the new X-Men, Storm, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Thunderbird, and Banshee, while the rest of his family stayed on the farm. The second group of X-Men were mostly adults and required no tutoring from Professor X, but trained in the use of their powers, in the Danger Room.

The X-Men later traveled to Muir Island to battle Proteus. They then battled the Hellfire Club Knights and the White Queen, where Piotr first met Kitty Pryde.

Piotr began a close relationship with Wolverine and Nightcrawler. Rasputin's family always remained in his thoughts. Shortly thereafter, a woman known as Miss Locke kidnapped many of the X-Men's loved ones to use as hostages in order to force the X-Men to aid her in freeing her employer, Arcade, from captivity by one of Doctor Doom's robots. Among her captives was Colossus's younger sister, Illyana, whom Locke had somehow kidnapped from the Siberian collective farm and transported to the United States. The X-Men freed Illyana from captivity, and she went to live with her brother Piotr at Prof. Xavier's mansion.

Later, the six year old Illyana was kidnapped by Belasco and the X-Men followed to Limbo where they rescued her. Due to her captivity in Limbo, where she spent years while only mere moments elapsed on Earth, Illyana returned to them thirteen.

Piotr and Kitty became close, though at the time, both were too shy to fully admit their feelings for each other. However, after surviving the threat by the alien Brood, Kitty and Peter grew closer and started to date, although Piotr was concerned about their age difference. Because of his relationship with Zsaji, Colossus broke up with Kitty. Piotr later fought Juggernaut in a bar-fight while drinking with Wolverine and battled the Dire Wraiths, where he learned that Illyana's time in Limbo had returned her a sorceress.

Not long after Piotr and Kitty broken up, he was injured and paralyzed by a Ravager named Riptide. It took months of healing and rehabilitation on Muir Island before he could turn back into his human form, and even longer before he was ready for action again. Action, which resulted in the world thinking he and the rest of the XMen had died, including his deal sister, Illyana, who'd turned to the dark arts to try to restore his life. That began a dark spiral for Illyana that eventually ended with her dead, as one of the first casualties of the Legacy Virus.

With Illyana's death, Piotr is left questioning his life's choices, wondering if all the fighting and pain have been worth it, if they'd had any meaning. For all his strength and power, he was unable to save his little sister and the world doesn't seem any better of a place than when he started. He's starting to feel that perhaps Magneto's been right all along.

PERSONALITY:
Piotr is a shy, self-effacing, modest and selfless young man. For himself, he only desires a rural life as a farmer and painter, preferably in the motherland - but Charles Xavier has entrusted him with a great burden. Piotr doesn't fight for himself, and in some ways considers he’s not worth fighting for - he fights for his friends and to defend innocents, especially children. His speech sometimes imply that he’s “not worthy” a stroke of luck or the pain of his friends - but this is because he considers himself but a minor piece of a great cause.

Piotr is a pure, good, untouchable soul and the voice of idealistic humanism among the X-Men. That he has killed came as a shock, especially to himself. This, combined with the deeply unfair deaths of his family, made for a lasting pain that never went away - Piotr can’t reconcile the harsh reality with his big hearted world view. He was, maybe, too much of a good soul for this world.

Colossus speaks in a somewhat formal, literary fashion, without contractions. What he says sometimes feels like a public speech by an idealistic politician, although thankfully he’s much, much briefer.

EQUIPMENT: Painting supplies.

KNOWN ENEMIES:

Colossus' enemies are those of the X-Men as a whole. He's not one of hold grudges himself. He rarely loses his temper, and when it does, it's a white hot flash that burns itself out quickly without lingering animosity.

It looks alright to me, except for what may be a continuity problem in her bio:

Quote
The duo teamed up to fight Sentinels, Omega Red, Sabretooth, Sauron, and even seek revenge on Reno and Molokai for the murder of her parents.
This is mentioned for the Australia Base part, but it's only mentioned later in her bio that she learns the identity of her parents' killers - if I am not misreading things. How can she seek revenge on certain people when she didn't know then that they were the ones who killed her parents?

I know I had to flake out on the last X-Men game due to personal issues and overwhelming myself (apparently I can't handle more than one character).

If you'd be okay with it, I'd like to give being Toad a shot again. If not, I totally understand.

Toad's Profile
CHARACTER NAME: Toad
REAL NAME: Mortimer Toynbee
AGE: 24
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
HEIGHT: 5'3''
WEIGHT: 169lbs
AFFILIATION: X-Men, Former Brotherhood

APPEARANCE

HISTORY

Mortimer Toynbee was born in York, England, and was quickly abandoned by his parents and spent many years in an orphanage, where he was constantly tormented by other children due to his ugliness and strangely shaped body (as his mutant appearance was present from birth). He was considered to be mentally inferior due to his extreme shyness and mild learning disabilities during his primary school years, though he was actually quite intelligent. He dropped out at an extremely early age and decided to fend for himself. Based on years of abuse and knowing full well he was a freak, Mortimer developed a severe inferiority complex, becoming servile to anyone that showed him the slightest bit of affection.

At sixteen, he met and lost his virginity to a prostitute. Like many weak minded men to women who treat them 'well', he thought she was in love with him. He spent weeks stealing things for her and eventually told her that he was in love with her. Such is common with these situations, she laughed him off. Toad can't remember exactly what happened, but he fled to the states when the papers stated that a prostitute's body had been found with her neck snapped. The marks around her neck showed that she'd been strangled by something long enough to wrap around without any breaks and squeezed. Fearing he'd done it, he ran.

He was recruited into Magneto's Brotherhood, becoming Magneto's sycophantic 'toady'. Toad believed that Magneto loved him like a son. Ignoring the fact that everyone treated him like a human shield. He has also developed a crush on Magneto's daughter, Wanda, and is seemingly oblivious to her either repulsion or complete lack of knowledge that he might even exist.

With the seeming downfall of Magneto, Toad is unsure of where he belongs any more.

Despite his many run ins with the X-Men and various other groups, he decided to swallow whatever form of little pride he had and offer himself up to them. It wasn't like he truly believed in the things Magneto always went on about, nor does he believe in what the X-Men does. He doesn't view himself as a member of the team, not truly, and doesn't expect other people to do so either. Most seem to understand that he just goes where he thinks he can survive.

Toad just wants to live and maybe even attempt to make up for some of the crimes in his past.

During moments of mental clarity, he seems well aware of what a horrible person he truly is and he pities himself.

PERSONALITY

Toad s a shrimpy, smart mouthed, weasely punk with extremely poor hygiene with a wise guy attitude, who thinks he's tough because of the thugs he hangs around with. He mouths off seemingly without care for the consequences, but he will cower like a worm if confronted about his talk. He likes to surround himself with stronger people, because it makes him feel powerful.

He tends to fall for women quickly. He will do anything for the woman that he is in love with. They tend to be the type of women that would never give him the time of day. Usually very tall, very beautiful, and very powerful. This stalkerish love is easily broken if the woman does something that he finds unattractive. Such things include becoming pregnant (not by him, of course), if he is used to seeing them dressing a certain way and they change it drastically, or if he sees her giving the affection he wants to another man.

For the most part, Toad is harmless in his servile complex and stalker tendencies. Most times, he is a yes-man and will not advance on his feelings for a girl. He mostly just wants to feel like he belongs somewhere and that people want him around.

Short tempered, talks a big game, easily submits to those who show minimal affection to him.

POWERS/ABILITIES
Superhuman Leaping: Toad's primary mutant power is the ability to leap to heights and distances far greater than that of an ordinary human. He has a vertical leap of over 24 feet and a horizontal jump of approximately 36 feet in a single leap. No definite limit to his leaping ability is yet known and can likely increase with age and training. Although Toad usually stands in a crouching position, he can stand erect if he wishes, the crouching poisition allows him quicker leaping if the situation calls for it. His unusually flexible spine enables him to crouch continually without strain.

Superhuman Stamina: Toad's muscles produce much less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the muscles of an ordinary human. He can exert himself at peak capacity for several hours before fatigue begins to impair him.

Superhuman Agility: Toad's bodily coordination and balance are enhanced to levels that are beyond the human body's natural limits.

Superhuman Durability: Toad's body is somewhat tougher and more resistant to physical injury than an ordinary human's. He can withstand impacts and physical trauma that would severely injure or kill an ordinary human with moderate discomfort.

Super-Prehensile Tongue: Toad has the ability to extend his tongue up to 25 feet in distance and ensnare objects and people. His tongue is superhumanly strong to the extent that he once killed a man by ensnaring him with his tongue and squeezing him, causing the man to be crushed to death much like a snake constricting it's prey.

Mind Alteration: Toad's super-prehensile tongue contains mind altering toxins bending a person's will so that they obey Toad's commands.

Toxic Saliva: He is also able to spit a caustic phlegmatic substance.

Paralytic Resin: His pores secrete a mucus resin that adheres to any surface and paralyzes the nervous systems of whatever it touches.

Superhuman Respiratory System: He can also contain large amounts of air in his expanding cheeks and throat and expel it with enough force to knock someone off their feet. It is more useful for aquatic life than it is for fighting.

Amphibian Control: Toad has demonstrated the ability to psionically communicate with amphibian life, such as frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders.

Superhuman Strength: The Toad is superhumanly strong, primarily in his lower body, and is capable of leg pressing 3 tons. He possesses superhuman strength in his upper body as well, although to a much lower degree, and can lift about 1 ton.

WEAKNESSES

Combat: Toad is not hand to hand combat trained. Much of his fighting is based on wildly kicking and spitting till his enemy is either worn down or he can get away.

Mentality: Toad is very emotional and very mentally unstable. He talks to himself quite a bit.

Agility: Lack of proper training makes his agility near useless.

Durability: He is far from invulnerable and can be injured in ways similar to an ordinary human. For instance, he is not bulletproof and can be injured by weapons composed of conventional materials.

Prehensile Tongue: While it's very slick and very strong, if the right person were able to grab hold of it, they would have control of him easily.

Mind Alteration: Mental and emotional instabilities would suggest that the toxin he uses to control other people affects him as well. The degree of control he has over the person he uses it on is minimal and it generally only works on people as weak willed as himself.

Paralytic Resin: The resin he produces quickly wears off and does not prevent mutants from using their own abilities (such as Scott's eyes, Jean's powers, or even Rogue's if he were to touch her while she was affected).

Superhuman Respiratory System: The force the wind created is not more than enough to knock an average sized person off their feet.

Amphibian Control: Cannot control them once they are about half a mile away from him.

EQUIPMENT

None.

OTHER

Despite his social awkwardness and seeming lack of intelligence, Toad is capable of understanding and utilizing advanced, even alien, technology. He is, however, unable to build it himself.

Toad has always had an unstable mutation, thanks to his infancy in the Black Womb Project. He is unaware of the experiments done to him.

He has an extreme disliking of mutants who have physical mutations like his own (Nightcrawler, Beast, and the like), but seem to have 'happier' lives than he does or have more friends than he does. Jealousy.

Toad is more intelligent than most realize, but it has it's limitations. While he could build complicated machinery and even use it, he has no skill in advancing it to a more efficient machine and no skill to design something on his own.

Let me know what I need to change or if I should have him somewhere other than with the X-Men or what not. First drafts usually need work for me. >.<

I'll see what I can find, but I wasn't fond of his film appearances and I can't think of any models that I normally use that would work for it.

I'll see what I can come up with.

Nice, but too cute. >.<

I would prefer someone less handsome. I was going to go with Doug Jones, cause he's a contortionist...but he shows his age (he's 55) very much without his costumes and make up (Abe from Hellboy, Silver Surfer, Fawn in Pan's Labyrinth). Then I thought about Alan Cumming, but I find him far too attractive.

I need someone, for lack of a better term, ugly. Lanky, thin, unattractive, and unconventional.

I know we have a thread somewhere for 'unusual characteristic' actors and such. Just need to dig it up. It started with Alan Rickman. >.<

I'll find someone. ^^

Didn't expect you to go for it, but that scene made me laugh and I wanted to share it.

Okay...not my first choice, but Paul Bettany does good crazy eyes.

Player Name: aorangi3
Superhero/villain: Wolverine
Real Name: James "Logan" Howlett
Age: Unknown
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Base of Operations: TBA
Powers:
Regenerative Healing Factor: Wolverine's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing process that enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than an ordinary human. He can regenerate greatly damaged or destroyed tissue with few seconds. Wolverine's accelerated healing powers have been commonly referred to as his mutant healing factor. The full extent and speed of Wolverine's healing factor isn't known. He has been shown to fully heal from numerous gunshot wounds, severe burns covering most of his body, and regenerate missing eyes within a matter of seconds. Among the more extreme depictions of his accelerated healing factor involves him having his skin, muscles, and internal organs incinerated from his skeleton only to fully regenerate the tissue within minutes. Adamantium plays a crucial role in the speed of Wolverine's healing as well because of the fact that it produces a poison that his immune system fights off regularly. It is said that without the adamantium, his healing rate increases. This power even amends psychological wounds inflicted as a result of traumatic experiences. However, Wolverine's healing powers force his mind to suppress the memories, sometimes resulting in amnesia. Wolverine sometimes calls this his mental scar tissue. Wolverine's healing factor has cured him from the mystical curse of the Werewolf after he had been bitten and turned into a werewolf and from vampirism; though it should be noted that the time it took to cure the Werewolf curse was longer than the time it took to cure him from vampirism, when he was infected with vampirism he had also been infected with nanites to temporarily deactivate his healing factor and use him as a 'booby-trap' on the vampires.

Contaminant Immunity: Wolverine's natural healing also affords him the virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, except in massive doses. For example, it is extremely difficult for him to become intoxicated from alcohol. S.H.I.E.L.D. once managed to keep Wolverine anesthetized by constantly pumping eighty milliliters of anesthetic a minute into his system.

Disease Immunity: Wolverine's highly efficient immune system, which is part of his accelerated healing factor, renders him immune against all known Earthly diseases and infections.

Delayed Aging: In addition, Wolverine's healing factor provides him with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. Wolverine was born sometime during the late 19th Century. Although well over 100 years of age, Wolverine retains the health, appearance and physical vitality of a man in the physical prime of his life.

Psionic Resistance: Due to a combination of his healing factor[citation needed] and Level 9 psi-shields implanted by Professor Charles Xavier, Wolverine's mind is highly resistant to telepathic assault and probing.
Super Condition: Wolverine's healing factor also affects a number of his physical attributes by increasing them to superhuman levels.
Superhuman Strength: Wolverine's mutant healing factor enables him to push his muscles beyond the natural limits of the human body without injury, granting him some degree of superhuman strength.
Superhuman Stamina: Wolverine's mutant healing factor grants him high immunity against lactic acid and other fatigue toxins generated by his muscles during physical activity. Wolverine can sustain himself at peak capacity for several days. Wolverine has shown himself capable of fighting Arkady Rossovich (Omega Red) for over 24 hours, despite regular exposure to Omega Red's death spores. His lung capacity is at peak human level enabling him to hold breath for 6 minutes under water, making his lungs as healthy as human's lungs can get. And when his lungs stop working,he can maintain his life by cutaneous respiration (It can only maintain his basic life activities).
Superhuman Durability: Wolverine possess superhuman durability. This is mostly because of his healing abilities and Adamantium Skeleton, which redistributes the force of blows dealt against. He has taken blows from Spider-Man on multiple occasions showing less than minimal discomfort, as well from a host of other much stronger characters such as Wonder-Man, Thor, Hulk, Thing, Skaar, Sebastian Shaw, and Kid Gladiator, who also had the advantage of have spiked knuckles. However, even without his Adamantium Skeleton, Wolverine does display a degree of superhuman durability. For example, he was hit by a jeep, and was unharmed. This is partially due to the fact that his skeleton, even without the Adamantium metal, is superhumanly durable.
Superhuman Agility: Wolverine's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels far beyond the natural physical limits and capabilities of the finest human specimen. Wolverine's agility is sufficient to allow him to dodge multiple bullets. Other times, able to jump extremely high and evade several yards.
Superhuman Reflexes: Wolverine's reflexes are similarly enhanced, they are also superior to those possessed by the finest human specimen and are equal to the likes of Steve Rogers' (Captain America) due to his superhumanly acute senses, although most of the time he relies highly on his regenerative healing factor.

Abilities:
Master Tactician: Though seemingly brutish, Wolverine is highly intelligent. When Forge monitored Wolverine's vitals during a Danger Room training session, he reported Logan's physical and mental state as "equivalent to an Olympic-level gymnast performing a Gold-medal-winning routine whilst simultaneously beating four chess computers in his head", which gives something of an idea of the level of sophistication and tactical processing Logan is capable of utilizing while in combat. He remembers Ogun teaching him Sun Tzu's The Art of War.

Master Martial Artist: Due to his extensive training as a soldier, a CIA operative, a samurai and a member of the X-Men, Logan is an exceptional martial artist, with expertise in Japanese martial arts, and has mastered 15 forms of martial arts, including Israeli Special Forces Training. His extraordinary hand-to-hand combat ability makes him one of the finest combatants on Earth. He was able to keep up with both the Black Panther and the Iron Fist, both expert martial artists. He has also defeated various hand-to-hand experts without using his claws. He even has taught the Black Widow, Rogue, Storm, Colossus, Primal, Sunspot, Armor, Jubilee, and Shadowcat in hand-to-hand combat.

Expert Marksman: He is an expert marksman skilled in throwing weapons and firearms, but operates more efficiently without them.

Expert Swordsman: Logan is proficient in Japanese sword fighting having studied under Ogun.

Skilled Acrobat: He is skilled in gymnastics, acrobatics and aerials, but is not on the same scale as other fighters such as Captain America and Daredevil.

Advanced Covert Ops Expert: Due to his experience traveling the world and working for various government agencies, Wolverine is also a trained expert in multiple types of weapons, vehicles, computer systems, explosives, and assassination techniques. In the Weapon X comic he said: I can put six shots into a quarter... an' get change for the gum-machine.

Skilled Mechanic: Along with Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler), Wolverine has also been the mechanic of the X-Men's Blackbird jet for a long time.

Multi-lingual: A polyglot; Wolverine is fluent in many languages including English, Arabic, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Cheyenne, Lakota, and Spanish; he has some knowledge of French, German, Thai, Vietnamese, Farsi and Portuguese. Ogun taught him Japanese ideograms.
With his increased lifespan and journeys across the globe, he has been able to amass an intimate knowledge of many foreign customs and cultures. Once he saw a kabuki play of The 47 Ronin (Genroku Ch?shingura) and remarked how it was one of the finest kabuki troupes he had seen. His exploits have further endowed him with vast awareness of literature and philosophy.
Strength level
As a result of Wolverine's constant cellular regeneration and the additional weight and tensile strength of his skeleton he has some degree of superhuman strength enabling him to press somewhere in excess of 800 lbs but not more than 2 tons and he is able to place this strength in his strikes. The latest official handbook entry says that Wolverine is capable of lifting in excess of 800 lbs for brief periods due to his adamantium skeleton.

Weaknesses
Vulnerable Senses: Wolverine's only other "weakness" is the fact that his heightened senses can be taken advantage of. For instance, when he was fighting the Bruce Banner (Hulk), he was nearly killed by the Hulk's thunder claps due to his heightened sense of hearing.
Decapitation/Severe Spinal Damage: Professor X once stated that Wolverine could be killed if his head becomes separated from his body, causing his brain to be unable to send signals to the section(s) of his body that needs healing. Because of the addition of his adamantium-laced skeleton, however, the idea seems very unlikely.
Adamantium-related weaknesses:

Adamantium Allotropes: Adamantium has thirteen different allotropes (variants) that are very unstable compared to adamantium because of their different molecular configurations and thus physical properties. Some have caused Wolverine to become dizzy or weak just by being in close contact with these adamantium specimens.

Reduced Buoyancy: The addition of nearly 100 pounds of Adamantium to his body makes it more difficult for Wolverine to swim. Namor stated that Wolverine is the worst swimmer which is later confirmed by Logan.

History:

Equipment:
Normally he wears a standard X-Men uniform or street clothes. His gloves often have grooves in the forearm so they do not tear when he unsheathes his claws.

Wolverine gets more "perks" every year.  His abilities used to be so straightforward.

That said, good on you for mentioning the downside of heightened senses and the swimming factor.

CHARACTER NAME: Cyclops
REAL NAME: Scott Summers
AGE: 29 (or a bit older. He should be older than most of the X-Men I’d think)
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
HEIGHT: 6'3
WEIGHT: 195
AFFILIATION: X-Men, original X-Factor
FACE CLAIM: James Marsden
APPEARANCE: Cyclops is a tall, lean, white male with brown hair who wears either a combat visor or ruby quartz glasses at all times.

POWERS/ABILITIES: Cyclops has the mutant ability to fire an incredibly powerful blast of concussive force through his eyes. Due to a head injury as a young boy, he can’t control the blasts without his visor or glasses. He is immune to both his own power and that of his brother, Havok. The blast can be a narrow beam or a wide sweep of energy. Scott can use it to move pool balls around on a table, or destroy a building. He’s actually injured the Hulk with his power.
Cyclops has had many years of training with the X-Men. He is incredibly proficient with his optic blasts, rarely missing and able to deflect his attacks off many different targets in an impressive ricochet maneuver. He is a highly skilled hand to hand combatant, able to best many opponents without ever resorting to his powers. He can fight with his eyes closed (literally) and is often underestimated in this area.
Scott is a skilled leader and tactician. He has led the X-Men for years, capable of meshing his teammates’ abilities into a unified combat force. Cyclops can assess a situation and come up with complex battle plans on the fly. He is also a skilled pilot.

WEAKNESSES: Cyclops’ biggest weakness is, of course, the uncontrollable nature of his power. He lives in constant fear of hurting someone with his blasts. Aside from his power, he is physically human, with no special powers to prevent him being hurt or allowing him to recover quickly. He is particularly devoted to Professor Xavier, a father figure to him and Jean Grey, his long-time love/girlfriend/fiance/wife, so threats against them would certainly provoke a reaction. It has been theorized that Scott has some kind of low-level “addiction” to telepathy, given that so many people in his life have had that ability (Xavier, Jean, Emma Frost).

HISTORY: (Scott has had a long, complicated history which has been retconned many times. This is the version I’m going with unless someone seriously objects). As a young boy, Scott was on a trip with father, Christopher, his mother, Katherine, and his younger brother Alex. Their plane was damaged by an alien ship from the Shi’ar Empire. Scott and Alex shared a parachute, believing their parents had died in the crash. Unknown to them, their parents were taken by the aliens. Katherine was killed and Christopher went on to eventually become Corsair of the Starjammers.
Scott suffered a head injury in the landing, which is believed to be why he can’t control his powers. His brother Alex was soon adopted, but Scott grew up in an orphanage in Nebraska, far from Alaska where he’d lived before the accident. It was later revealed that during his childhood, Scott was watched over and experimented on by Mr. Sinister in various guises. Eventually, Scott left the orphanage, ending up in the care of Professor Charles Xavier. Scott was the first recruit for the X-Men, and groomed to be their leader by Xavier. Cyclops spent a long time as the field leader for the team, including after the membership changed when most of the old members left and the new team, including Sunfire, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Banshee came in.
Scott had a long time love affair with his team-mate Marvel Girl, Jean Grey. They were a couple for a very long time, and he was devastated by her apparent death, and later her return as Phoenix, descent into Dark Phoenix, and death again. Some have joked that Jean’s tomb should have a revolving door on it. For a time, Scott was supplanted as team leader by Storm, which was even more impressive as she won the right to lead during a period when she had lost her powers. Scott encountered the Starjammers and learned his father had survived the accident all those years ago. They have a decent, but not close, relationship.
Scott eventually met and fell in love with Madeline Pryor, who everyone was stunned to see looked exactly like Jean Grey. They eventually married, and Scott would come to learn she was a clone of Jean created by Mr. Sinister. They had a son, Nathan, who would be raised in the future as become Cable.  When Jean came back from the dead yet again, Scott and the original X-Men got back together as X-Factor, a company to “control” the “mutant problem” who were actually seeking to help emerging mutants with their powers. Eventually, Scott returned to the X-Men. He has spent the vast majority of his life serving on one version of the team or another, usually as leader.

PERSONALITY: Scott is often seen by others as serious and grim. He is very focused on being the best leader for the team he can, and living up to Xavier’s dream. He does have a sense of humor, but it’s often overshadowed by the more vocal jokesters like Beast, Iceman, and Nightcrawler. He is very loyal to the X-Men, who are essentially his family. He’s one of the few original members of the group who has never become a member of another team. He’s often the drill sergeant character that annoys much of the team, but he cares about his fellow heroes.

EQUIPMENT: Scott is never without his visor and/or ruby quartz glasses, frequently carrying a back up for them.

KNOWN ENEMIES: Mr. Sinsiter, Magneto, Apocolypse, Sentinels, and many many others over the years.
