Hi everyone. I'm trying to learn Spanish but not many people speak it here in Canada. I was wondering if a Spanish speaker on Elliquiy would like to be a language teaching penpal. I want to learn the language since I really like Spanish culture and Latin America.

I am also learning Spanish from scratch.  I have been studying it seriously for about 1 month, so still working on basic stuff.  Let me know how it goes!

I'm not fluent but I can help with some stuff. I highly recommend taking a class at a community college, though.
Considering a permanent retirement from Elliquiy, but you can find me on Blue Moon (under the same username).

There is a great website where you can sign up for penpals.  Apparently I cannot post external links, but the site is called interpals.

I have several penpals all over the world thanks to this site. A big part of it is language exchange penpals.

I'm actually a member there. ^^ I just wanted possibly a fluent speaker to talk to here since I'm on Elliquiy a lot.

Have you checked out italki.comhttp://www.italki.com/

It's basically a marketplace (like ebay) where people mentor each other for credits.
I haven't tried it myself, so I can't say much about it.

That's actually a good idea, Dimir. Let me know how it goes and where you find someone if you do. Would maybe give me ideas where to look for a Latin or Gaelic "teacher". I only ever found vocal instruction with Rosetta Stone and I'm not about to spend what they charge for those lessons. Though Spanish might be less expensive so it may be an option for you.
