The SCP Foundation
« on: December 13, 2014, 12:08:19 AM »
http://www.scp-wiki.net/

An absolutely phenomenal site, based around horror and speculative fiction writing set in a sort of shared universe based around the 'Foundation' a mysterious organization with the goal of 'securing, containing, and protecting' unusual, dangerous, and/or supernatural objects, creatures, and individuals. Its definitely has some of the best stuff I've ever read on the web.

I suppose I should warn that a lot of the stuff is tending towards disturbing or frightening, but if you can handle that its an amazing place. It inspires me to be a more creative writer.

I was super obsessed with that site a few years ago! Have you ever played the game, SCP Containment Breach? It's where all the stuff documented on that site is escaping their "cells" and you have to escape it without them killing you. I've never made it past the part where SCP-173 gets me :(

I guess there's been a lot of updates since the last time I played it...

There was also a game for one of them, I forget the number, but it was kinda lame cause you just walked down all these stairs for a long time as creepy sound effects played, and then at the end this spooky face appeared and reached out with these really long arms and crashed the program.

My favorite is #96. He's just shy. :(

This also reminds me of this old series of copypasta that was popular back on /x/ when I was like, 17. The Holders. Actually if the KYM date is right about it going back to 2007, then it was popular back when I was more like 15, and now I feel old.

Well glad to know there are others on here who know about it.  I'm pretty sure Swordsman18 will be in here at some point.
