One of my favorite Bee Gees songs, "Nights on Broadway" is about a stalker. It took me a couple listenings to actually realize that's what it was talking about. It's pretty catchy, and if you aren't really paying too much to the deeper meaning, it's pretty relatable.

Not sure if it's just the country I am, but quite frankly most people around the Benelux generally assumed/assume it's a beautiful song, not really considering it's about a male photographer exploiting his models. I like songs that have a sort of happy jingle to them yet are deeply disturbing.

McCartney commented on the final verse of the song: "In our world the guy had to have some sort of revenge. It could have meant I lit a fire to keep myself warm, and wasn't the decor of her house wonderful? But it didn't, it meant I burned the fucking place down as an act of revenge, and then we left it there and went into the instrumental."

also those songs with depressing French lyrics (though often they only half make sense)

I think White Winter Hymnal has to be my favorite. It's a Christmas song but the lyrics is all about death
I was following the x5
I was following the pack
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries
In the summertime

I found a list of clips that got censored or banned in my country and it is telling I cannot find the long version of this even today. The disturbing factor is higher if you've watched Dr Evil
I read the less censored versions show "more" between the boys

Super creepy if you listen

I think it's the tone shift combined with the fact that it's from a Broadway musical that completes it's creep factor.  It also perfectly encapsulates how utterly insane Guiteau was.
