Zone Wars: Basic Training
Welcome to Zone Wars: Basic Training.
It has been less than 30 years since the Galactic Alliance was forged in order to combat the Galactic Imperium. This terrible war has scarred the cosmos and fractured the Alliance, but we have stood strong through all of this and continue to rebuild our forces in preparation for any future conflicts.
This is why you are here.
You have been handpicked from millions of others to participate in the Galactic Allianceís Experimental Training program. You have been drafted from your Home World, and will now train here on the Science Vessel Alexi. Orbiting, Swevelli; the Allianceís Home World, this spherical training dome is fully equipped to provide all the necessary resources for the Alliance Special Forces training.
Some of you have been thrust in the heat of battle from a young age. Some of you have lived peaceful lives unaffiliated by conflict. Regardless of your origins, all of you have an untapped, raw potential to become the greatest soldiers the Alliance has ever produced. Each and every one of you will be heroes charged with the duty of protecting not only the Alliance, but all those who are unable to protect themselves.
Follow the Blue lights to the Central Briefing Room to receive your first set of instructions.
Good luck, Soldier.
Welcome to Zone Wars: Basic Training! This will be a Science Fiction group game run by myself, ZephySempai. In this game you, the players, will be new recruits selected to receive accelerated Special Forces training. This program selects a large range of candidates both with and without prior combat experience. Everyone in this program has hidden, untapped potential that your instructors will attempt to unlock.
As of now, the setting will revolve around the orbital Science Vessel, Alexi
and its interior. The main focal areas of this game will be the Main Deck, the Barracks and the Training Area. -->The Main Deck
will serve as a General Purpose Area and where your characters will first gather for their primary instruction. This area will also serve as the main cafeteria, and a bridge to any other areas within the Science Vessel. -->The Barracks
will serve as private lodgings for your characters. Each recruit will receive their own personal living space, which they can personalize to suit their individual needs. The Barracks are separated by gender, however, there is no formal restriction as to who may enter whose private room. -->The Training Area
is a general name that refers to the lower deck of the Science Vessel. The main Central training room is open for personal and group use while other specialized areas will be used for formal instruction. The Main training area uses a powerful simulator that can project virtually any environment.
This game will feature a wide variety of weapons from standard projectile firearms to specialty weapons such as Bows and Blades. Players have the freedom to choose a primary weapon type as well as a secondary weapon type that will serve as their specialty, but if desired, they will have the option to receive training in other weapons through the game itself. Magic:
Magic is a powerful force found on many worlds and within Space itself. Magic resides in almost all forms of matter, allowing it to be channeled while within the Science Vessel. Magic also emanates from those adept in its element. Because of the prominence of magic, almost anyone has the potential to use it. Like anything else, there are those who are stronger than others in their use of magic. The four basic elements are the easiest types of magic to control, however, some are able to push their abilities to twist these elements together and create spells that go far beyond this basis. The first rule of Magic: Always practice caution. Especially while in space.
The galaxy of Zone Wars is teeming with many different races and species both sentient and non. For simplifying purposes, we will use the three majority races that compose the Galactic Alliance. These three races include the adaptable Humans, the ancient Elusyians, and the feral Myrthra.-->Humans:
Time has proven Humans to be the most adaptable of all sentient races. They are adept at both weaponry and magic, and can combine these two elements to increase their survival in any situation. They are considered the Jack race for being the Jack-of-all-trades, yet masters of none.-->Elusyians:
The most magically Adept of the three races, the Elusyians are a generally peaceful race who bend technology with their magical abilities to create the most sophisticated and intricate creations the galaxy has ever seen. Seen as physically weaker than the three races, the Elusyians trounce all other races when tested in the area of Magic.-->Myrthra:
Cunning and daring, the Myrthrian Beast-People are both known and feared for their overwhelming strength and feral tactics. This hybrid race are thought to be the most powerful race physically. With claws and fangs, the Myrthra people specialize in close-combat and guerilla tactics. Along with this, all Mythra have the ability to fully assume their beastly familiar form at will, making them incredibly dangerous and unpredictable.

As a starting basis, Iím looking for a core group of 6 players to start off. If we get more than 6 players, I wonít turn anyone away, but I might have to take on a Co-GM in order to keep the game running smoothly (DMing 6 players myself will already be a stress test lol)
I am open to all questions, comments, and suggestions! Iím only one person, and canít think of everything myself, so any input from you guys is greatly appreciated. Feel free to post here (until an OOC is established) or shoot me a PM.
