Too little, too late. While I'm glad that they took some action, it doesn't seem like enough. His videos are still monetized. Seems like a slap on the wrist considering YouTube deletes smaller channels for far less.

Exactly. It only took them a week and a half to finally do something, while other youtubers get slapped down for tiny infractions. I'd honestly respect this move if youtube didnt have such double standards.

So...this story is so damn convoluted. I have no idea what is going on, this rabbit hole just..makes no sense.

Shane Dawson accused of Paedophilia with clips taken out of context, and his accuser then turns things into a crazy Rothchild and Logan Paul conspiracy....I wish I could make it make more sense.

YouTube always gives preference to their golden boys and most popular channels. If say, a smaller channel like Channel Awesome, posted the same thing that Logan Paul did, YouTube would have not only removed the video, they probably would have suspended or even banned their channel. They also would have done it within hours, not a week later. The fact that Logan Paul (and his equally douchebag brother Jake) still have their videos monetized is a sign of YouTube's pure favoritism.

The bottom line is that YouTube only cares about views. Sure, they might punish Logan Paul and Pewdiepie, but those punishments are a slap on the wrist considering how poorly they've treated smaller channels. These big channels are their cash cows and they're not going to fairly punish them.

What makes this worse is that more advertisers will leave YouTube, which hurts the smaller channels that rely on the ads.

NASA has strong evidence that water is more abundant and easier to access than previously thought.  It may not be usable water for manned missions, as it could be too salty or contain chemicals not easily filtered out, but the fact that they are estimating that as much as a third of Mars could have ice just a few feet under the surface is still exciting.

On a more foreboding note, this country is revamping its national board for defence against psychological warfare (=resistance to media campaigns from enemy powers, to spying, to wartime propaganda etc), an agency that's been defunct since the end of the Cold war. There will also be a new edition of a booklet to everyone on how to be prepared in case of an approaching war, prepping your home - this used to be at the end of the phone directory, but since around 1990 it fell into oblivion.
