This to me is also an example of why a 24 hour missing person report hurts investigations and victims. I think 12 hours is enough to declare a person missing. 24 is enough to murder someone, get rid of the body and be on the run.

Basically, depending on the policy of the police department, you may be asked to wait a sufficient amount of time (24 - 72 hours) before they will take your report. This should NOT apply to missing juveniles, missing elderly persons or persons suspected to be a victim of foul play.

Uh, somebody may not have thought this through...Yeah, rabbit meat is perfectly edible, but those pesky little rabbits have a knack for escaping and breeding big wild flocks that overgraze fields and pastures where you *don't* want them - google "Rabbits in Australia"... And I feel the problem of food shortage and inflation in Venezuela is a bit wider than just rabbits.

In Europe during WW2, rabbits were being raised and eaten as a way to get more cheap meat, sure. My grandparents did just that on their farm, and many others too. But they did have to find them some grain and fodder, it's not like they could just let the cute pets feed in the wild until they were the right size to finish them...

So long as they don't hit anything, nobody can really do anything without being seen as bullies.  Though, if you think about it, it's almost funny just how much of their resources they must be wasting firing those things off.  I mean, it would be one thing if they were a country with an actual working economy and resources to draw on, but for them this pretty much them throwing what little resources they have down their non-functioning toilets in a desperate attempt to look threatening.

That being said, I very much hope they don't do anything more than bluster and posture.  Despite the dark humor of the situation, this is still something that should be taken seriously, given that Kim seems intent on making a global spectacle of himself.  Hell, he's likely insane enough that he may actually do something, and damn the consequences.  Friggin cult leaders...

True, but he is insane, and possibly growing more desperate, especially since even China is starting to try and slowly distance themselves from North Korea.  He may not be stupid, but I do believe that he is spiteful, and pushed far enough he may decide "screw it, I'm gonna do some damage before I go."  Now, I still think this is unlikely, as North Korea has rattled it's saber before, and this most likely will just be a repeat of that.  But it would also be irresponsible to make that assumption.  Hope for the best, but assume the worst.

Fair enough, but really the only thing he has to gain is getting sucker punched in the face at some point and crying to the UN about it. All of his recent behaivor has indicated that's his plan. He's hoping Trump is retarded enough (and unrestrained enough by his advisors) to get pissed at it.

At one point, the 'Juggalos' were simply fans of Insane Clown Posse - a wrestling tag team turned musical group (or possibly vice versa, I'm not clear on that.)  They painted their faces and drank a lot of Fanta.  (Don't ask, no one understands that one.)  As is the case when you have large groups of excited people that can easily conceal their identities, there were asshats.  The asshats painted their faces, drank a lot of Fanta, and busted things.  People, property, whatever.  'Got a description?' 'Yeah, some kid in clown makeup.  There's a lot of them around, though.  Something about a posse.' 'Hm.  Sounds like gang activity.'

A police officer who was helping out with Irma aftermath and posted a selfie, which went viral because the guy is hot, ended up having his FB page gone through and found anti-semitic comments posted six and four years back. They're definitely pretty racist comments, but apparently, this was a generally nice guy otherwise, and again, was viral because "OMG, so hot". This is leading to a lot of people on the Gainesville PD page actually defending the bastard. Because they seem to think that if you say god awful and horrible things on social media, they somehow have a time limit on them as to when they stop being god awful and horrible.

He's currently (of course) suspended WITH pay. It's humanly impossible for police officers to get suspended without pay, isn't it?
