Kellyanne Conway makes up a massacre to support Trump's Muslim ban.

And Rand Paul gets in on the act.

Quote
[E]ven one of Kentucky’s Republican senators echoed Conway’s wholly inaccurate account. In a separate interview with MSNBC, Paul referred to “the attempted bombing in Bowling Green, where I live.”

Though it's interesting to note that Paul calling it an 'attempted bombing' doesn't really mesh with the 'massacre' Conway manufactured.  It's also interesting that even Fox News is carefully correcting the lie, referring to the 'non-existent Bowling Green massacre'.  I can't wait to find out what Spicer has to say about it at the next press conference.  ::)

I swear watching the Trump administration lie and making up bullshit is getting to the point of being worthy of being called a sitcom.  However, I am stuck between not knowing if I should laugh or cry.

I definitely know what you mean, but today I'm going with laugh.  I find it hopeful that even Faux News has a point at which they say, "Uh, guys?  Don't you think you're going a little too far on this one?"

The sad thing? My dad watches Faux News religiously and believes just about everything they say - but this one? He has said the media is attacking Trump and trying to make him look bad when all he is doing is trying to protect us citizens.

The really sad thing about this? We live about an hour south of Bowling Green and we know there was no 'massacre' there.  And yet my dad seems to have forgotten that because the blonde twit said it happened.

As a side note - I really want to try the 'alternative facts' in my life and see how that goes.

Arnold's response to Trump after Trump's snide comments at a prayer breakfast regarding The Apprentice ratings.

Even though Arnold is a Republican.....I think I might just be okay with the switch.

Pretty sad when someone you used to call a friend says that sort of thing.  :/

Arnold has repudiated his Republican past. No wonder. He'd still make a better president than anyone that might follow Trump (Pence is a Christofascist with mommy issues, and Ryan has less spine than a tapeworm).

*shakes head*

What is wrong with her?  I mean.....every time that woman opens her mouth, lies fall out.  I honestly don't believe the woman is capable of telling the truth.  I doubt she even knows what truth is.

It amazes me how easily, and quickly, she can come up with this crap.

Wisconsin residents already knew that this is where Ryan belonged, though sadly the page has since been returned to its original state.

That one made the front page even in a couple of Stockholm dailies, almost five thousand miles away and in a non-NATO country. Shows how much everything related to Trump hits the big news buttons right now.

I feel it's getting hard to resist borrowing Tintin's famed line at the crimelord Rastapopoulos, when it comes to Trump: "That you are a crook, we already knew, Now we've also seen that you're a bastard."  ;)

So supposedly Trump wants to remove the Johnson Amendment.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/the-johnson-amendment-which-trump-vows-to-%e2%80%98destroy%e2%80%99-explained/ar-AAmys8D?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=HPCOMMDHP15

honestly not sure how to feel about this. At this point everything he does is suspect and I am wondering what the ulterior motive is for it. @_@

It's essentially allowing more money to be contributed to politicians by non-persons (in this case, non-profit organizations.)  That's T-Rump's motive - I'm willing to bet he doesn't give a damn about what those organizations are, as long as their pockets are deep.  The mega-churches (who would be as soundly reprimanded by Christ as the money-changers in the Temple) are going to see this repeal as the equivalent of Citizens United for churches.

Highlighted the one part that many people forget. Even The Son lost his temper now and again.  ::)

But yes...this is just going to make the election process much worse I feel. >_<

Mostly for justifiable reasons, though.  If Osteen and Falwell paid more attention to the least of their brothers than to their personal towers, they might be able to thread the proverbial needle - unlike the camel.

If he didn't want to blow something up before, I'll bet he does now.

This...is so sadly true. All Trump is doing is giving justification to tons of Anti American sentiment. >_<

Someone set up a fake fundraising page for the Bowling Green Massacre "victims".  The Donate Now button sends you to the ACLU donations page.  As funny as it is, though (and potentially helpful to the ACLU), I kind of wish it wasn't there.  It only makes it seem more real to those people who now think it actually happened.  :/

Probably a bad idea. It's only a matter of time before someone on the (alt-)right spins it to say that the massacre was invented to gather donations under a fals pretext, making it sound as if Conway was the victim of misinformation  used by the left.

The righties scoff at anything and everything when the story involves a tragedy of any sort whether it is actual fact or 'alternative.'  Some of the right leaning trolls actually accused an Obama supporter of killing their child so they could blame it on Trump supporters.  There was no child hurt in the crafting of that right-wing accusation.  People are sick.

Perhaps some on the right end of the political spectrum are what might be colloquially described as "sick" (personally I have some hesitation about using that word). But  there are people who voted for Trump and still support him who are not quite that bad. Trump can be dealt with, be it through mass protests or court actions or both. Not dividing the country any more than it already is by lumping all people who voted for Trump together is the real trick that needs to be pulled of. Defeating Trump is one thing - doing it without dividing the country even more than it already is will be another.

It would seem that Conway is trying out her new role as a 21st century version of Joseph Goebbels...

Also, as a heads up, Trump signs executive order to roll back Wall Street regulations, created in the wake of the Great Recession: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/business/wp/2017/02/03/trump-to-sign-executive-order-calling-for-rollback-of-wall-street-reform/

Who's ready for yet another economic crash?

With the upswing in bullying and hate crimes in the name of Trump it's getting harder to ignore them.  Children as young as six are picking on kids on their way home from school and some of the foul mouths using Trump's name that I hear at the mall and grocery store remind me of stories of Nazis attacking gypsies and Jews from my history books.  Heaven help us if these people get any power.  At least the police are still allowed to arrest them if they assault you.
